- This week, I bring you to the park with me and show you some of my favourite sections of it! This is St Anne's Park in Raheny and on days where it's sunny, it's extra magical.
I also decided to try my hand at propagating roses and verbena after seeing Anya the Garden Fairy showing it on her Instagram and in her book, so stay tuned and see if it works!
Finally, spring is happening in the garden and with the constant grey days that we've been having here in Ireland, those little pops of colour and new shoots bring hope that brighter, sunnier days are coming.
Happy St Patrick's Day!

When I saw that first little green head poking from the soil. I squealed out load and freaked my cats out! LOL😅 Great video, Heather 💜
You and me both!! Literally the day before, nothing was there!
Oh Karen…thank you for the beautiful walk in the park. I appreciate your photography skills. ❤ and hope you are enjoying St Patrick’s Day.
Happy St. Paddy's Day, Blessings always
What joy it is to see the first seeds sprouting !! I was just as excited that Gardener's World is back. It makes my heart happy.
The park is so lovely! Makes me want to go out for a walk now☺🌳🌿 One question: Why do you stick the cuttings only around the edge of the pot?
I read it’s because it encourages the roots to grow quicker as they reach the side of the pot and then are forced to grown inwards and sideways 🪴
Thank you. I'll try it this way next time👍@@Lovelygirliebits
Happy St Patrick's day!!
Your park looks absolutely amazing, lovely walks and inspiration for your own garden😊
Thanks for the tips on cuttings, this is something I want to do more this year....
So much garden inspiration in the park! I love the idea of having lots of free plants in our gardens 😍
Hello Karen
The Sarah Raven book growing vegetables does she include growing vegetables in pots?
I know how you feel Karen. Gardeners World is back. Yay!!! Oh for some warm spring sunshine instead of this grey all the time. Loved the walk in the park x
I absolutely love your channel and Catherine's. You both are so wonderful to listen to and I love you both being real. I don't like watching those "everything about me is perfect" videos. You both are so real and so down to earth. Keep up your fantastic work ❤❤❤❤ thank you for your content ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I wondered What plinky plonky music would be and then I heard it 😂 perfect description ❤ great video as always 🪻☘️
What beautiful music and a lovely walk. Can't wait to see if your cutting take. Thanks for sharing and catch you next time 😊😊😊
Lovely video and your voice is so calming. In USA, still waiting for warmer weather. At least I can watch you and Catherine.
Ooohh thanks for mentioning GW started on Friday. As usual my Sky Box forgot to record this!
What a beautiful park for your morning walks. Search for stones about the size of golf balls to elevate some of you pots. Or use old bricks. Nice to have staggered levels for free. Your cuttings are doing nicely.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day ☘️. The park is so beautiful! How lucky you are to have such a gorjus place to be able to take walks in. I’ll be getting some seed starter kits today 😊
Thank you for sharing this beautiful park. A good dopamine boost!
So happy to see so much colour in my pots and borders - daffs tulips hyacinths anemones pansies muscari primroses - the fruit trees are budding up the hydrangea is piping up 🌿🌿🌿 it's been a grim day today but tomorrow we have a sunny day forecast ☀️☀️☀️ can't wait to get out and clean and refresh my patio 🌺🌼🌿☀️ love from Whitby 🌼
That park 🤩 is gorgeous. Things will get going soon enough. 🪴🌷🌹🌸🌱
Solar Powered, love that 🌻
Ha ha ha ,love the plinky plonks music 😂😂you got class girl ,love all your seed sewing and your walk in the park ,keep going lass you one of the best xxxxx
A blog post from you would be amazing! And you're allowed to be a little blue when the weather is a little gray ;) Seriously, it's hard to keep your spirits up when you hit a wall of endless gray days. Praying for some sunny blue skies in your patch of Ireland.
It grant stopped reading here in England either. I’m soooooo bored of it. I planted some more seeds earlier today though (cosmos, dahlia, moss roses and lupins) and that cheered me up a bit. Hopefully I’ll see them popping up soon.
I loved the video of your park! I can see why you love walking there! Thanks for showing how to propagate roses. I am hoping it works for you. The large rose is a gorgeous color.
What is tree with all of the trunks?? Very little spring yet here in Michigan! Tiny shoots here and there, but had some snow showers today!
You can dip your cuttings into honey if you haven’t got rooting powder it really works well
Yes! I get so excited seeing the sprouts and new growth on my seedlings, cuttings etc. I love it. 💚
Very interesting how to propagate the roses, good luck would love to see how they do
Have you read Arthur Parkinson’s books? His own garden is entirely pots/containers. He has worked closely with Sarah Raven.
His books are more inspirational focused than Sarah’s. The photos are beautiful though.
Oooo looking forward to the composter video! Thanks for sharing Karen sending love 🙏🏻 x
Thank you for watching!
I love seeing little buds appear and seedlings begin to sprout too, so I share your excitement. Thank you for showing us your plants progress!
The little buds bring such joy, don’t they?
Great video❤
Glad you liked it!!
Good morning from North Carolina

It’s lovely seeing new growth sprouting 🌱 it gives me joy. Looking forward to updates Karen and the capture of the park was beautiful 💖 Happy St. Patricks day ☘️
I agree it's so exciting to see little shoots. I was checking around the few plants in my garden too today and I'm feeling your joy. You saying you're a sunflower, solar powered 🌻 💛 that's the way I feel too 😊 Happy week, Karen.
Happy Saint Patrick's day. That is a beautiful park to walk. Good luck with your cuttings.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Between you and Catherine, ya'll have me itching to get in the garden. Thanks for sharing how to get free plants. I must try doing some of that this year. I still have a couple months before I can really do anything outside, but I plan to get started in a month on my indoor starters.
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! 🍀☘️☘️ Beautiful park! Thanks!
It sure is exciting to see the garden coming back to life! Thanks for that walk through the park it was lovely❣️
love your videos.keep up the good work
Thank you so much 😍
Happy spring is coming, thanks for sharing your inspirational video. Laurie
Beautiful park, you lucky girl to live close to that
It’s so gorgeous, especially in the autumn 😍
This is such a beautiful video Karen. The parks there are truly gorgeous. We have some beautiful ones here in the U.S. but of course we don't have much as far as historical. We aren't that old. But we do have beautiful natural forests with both Flora and Fonda within.
I did plant some seeds the same day as you did. No growth yet.
The weather has been the same...just wet, dark, cold and nasty. My greenhouse did warm up finally. So I think conditions are good..I propagated a lot last year so that helped and I will continue to do so. I have two hydrangeas that propagated last year. One was a few years ago. All three are back and looking fantastic. So green 💚... I made my first tee pees for my sweet pea. It actually looks like cottage garden style trellises. Now if my seeds come up🌱I'll be ready for one big planter/container of sweet peas.. my garden is mostly containers. I can't wait to see your garden bursting with colour. Happy planting.. I had oral surgery last week so I'm hoping I can get out for a bit today..😊 maybe we will all have some beautiful weather with lots of Sunshine. We do have a freeze warning just east of us for tonight. A heater may be needed.
Have a great week Karen. 🌱🪻🌻🌷🌹🪺☀️
i got a notification of a new video but it says its private..... i cant access it...
I realised part of it had no music so I had to take it down and am about to reupload!
