If you haven't already, I'd highly reccomend the ost of hollow knight, especially pale court, city of tears, mantis lords, hornet, radiance, and ofc the soundtrack of the hollow knight boss
I loved that you liked the score! I would recommend reaction to Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. You talked about owning a SNES, I don't know if you are aware of Donkey Kong Country (2) or Yoshi's Island? Those two games are also one of the best from the SNES-era, maybe ever. Outside of Nintendo you could also check out Celeste, which is an amazing experience.
I would recommend checking out Persona 3 Reload, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, or the Splatoon series next. I tried to pick songs that have interesting compositions, though I'll admit I don't know much about music theory Here's some specific songs to try: Persona 3: Burn My Dread (not the reload version), Full Moon Full Life, Mass Destruction, It's Going Down Now, When the Moon's Reaching Out Stars, Burn My Dread (Last Battle), and Don't. Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Argentum, Gormott, Roaming the Wastes, Tantal, Tantal (Night), Walking With You, Drifting Soul, Exploration, Deathmatch with Torna, Battle in the Skies Above, Battle (Torna the Golden Country), Four-limbed Titan, Beyond Despair and Animus. Splatoon 1-3: (there's a lot) Splattack, Octo Valley, The Great Octoweapons, I am Octavio, Calamari Inkantation, Maritime Memory, The Girl From Inkopolis, Bomb Rush Blush ft. DJ Octavio, Tidal Rush, #0 Shell, #8 Regret, Deepsea Metro Train, Nasty Majesty, Splattack (Octo), Fly Octo Fly/Ebb and Flow, Into the Light, Amalgamania, Anarchy Rainbow, Ride or Fry, Bear With Me, Calamari Inkantation 3Mix, Frothy Waters, Unconscience, Foyer (Postgame), souven1r, 2ouvenir, souv3nir, #47 Onward, and Three Wishes.
Good Egg Galaxy AND Comet Observatory were both composed by the legendary Koji Kondo, who composed the very famous original Super Mario Bros "Ground Theme", the song that everyone and their great grandmother knows. He doesn't compose entire OSTs anymore like he used to, but he always seems to compose the best, most iconic tracks in any OST he contributes to now. He did it in Super Mario 3D World and certainly did it in Super Mario Odyssey. He hasn't lost his touch. If anything, it's getting better as he ages.
Fun fact, I'm not sure if you picked it up but the final sections of both the Purple Coins theme and Gusty Garden use the same melody, the rest of each piece is different but their climaxes are the same melodically. That melody's also in the Credits theme around the middle and appears again in various tracks from the sequel, Galaxy 2. And the Overture main motif was also in Bowser's Galaxy Generator briefly.
Gusty Garden Galaxy is one of my all-time favorites. So energetic and catchy, and the question-and-answer loop is so, so satisfying. One piece I absolutely recommend along with that is a song from Kirby and the Forgotten Land, called Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit. It's the final boss theme of the game, and it's absolutely spectacular. I've never heard anything like it, and it seems to be the same for everyone else who's ever experienced it. If you don't know anything about Kirby games, they start off lighthearted, with something that Kirby wants to do, but he gets interrupted, whether by his lunch being stolen, or a portal opens up and sucks him into another world. Kirby has a thing to go after, and he has fun doing it! But as the game goes on, the story slowly unfolds, and it turns out there's a _major_ big-bad at the end, turning into a massive epic battle between Kirby and the Omnipotent Forces of Evil! It's pretty extraordinary, and Two Planets Approach the Roche Limit absolutely hits those epic notes (if you'll excuse the pun). Definitely something you should experience!
Trust me when I say the moment you hear the purple coin theme you’ll be filled with both wonder and dread as anytime that melody plays you are on a time limit. Having to collect 100 purple coins in like 3 to 4min (sometimes 1 minute if you’re that one psychotic level)
I loved Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 as a kid. The soundtrack blows me away to this day and this was such a fun reaction to watch! Have you ever listened to Xenoblade Chronicles Music? It has some of the best music in Nintendo (or gaming) history.
Great video man. Such joy to see your reaction to these beautiful tracks for the first time. Have you ever tried to listen to the SNES soundtrack to Chrono trigger or the original donkey kong country? Theyre considered two of the best video game soundtracks of all time, really capturing the most ffom really limited hardware.
0:44 I've never played Mario Galaxy! Me: Change that now! It is a GREAT game! Also aside from that bit, this was the first ever Mario game that had a LIVE orchestra! Very nice introduction from a game from 2007! (Yes that's when this classic game was released)
Super Mario Galaxy has one of the greatest OSTs in video game history. Top 5 at least. I'd argue top 3. I think it's only beaten by Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but that's still saying a lot considering just how stunning that OST is.
If you have a Wii or a Switch (and can find a copy of super mario 3d all stars for the switch) then you could play it. There was also was one sequel (super mario galaxy 2) that was only ever on the switch. Also super mario 3d all stars was complete FOMO and only on the Nintendo eShop (switch) for about 6 months some years ago - if you can find a physical copy (used) .....
I absolutely love Super Mario Galaxy, and I gotta say... whoever gave you this list of music didn't do the game justice. There are so many good songs in this game and most were missing from this video...
@@EliteMusicCoachingGlad you asked. There are a lot of good tracks, like Melty Molten Galaxy, Space Junk Galaxy, Battlerock Galaxy, Buoy Base Galaxy, Megaleg, Bowser's Star Reactor (which is actually a remake of Koopa Road from Super Mario 64), Ghostly Galaxy, and Toy Time Galaxy.
What a phenomenal score! What soundtrack would you like to see us react to next? Let us know!
Thanks for watching :)

Thanks for sharing. That’s great to know.
I’m not sure what it is but Super Mario Galaxy just has POWER behind its music, whether it’s epic intense, or the quiet sadness
Yes, I felt that too!

Such a cozy game. I had an absolute blast playing it when it came out and whenever I hear any of the themes it brings me all the way back.
Awesome selection of songs! Your friend did a stellar job I love this reaction
Glad you enjoyed it!

Very well said my friend ❤
Thanks for the recommendation!
This was a really cool vid, thanks for sharing Jodi 🤘
the kind of react i live for

Ghostly Galaxy purple coins with a 1 minute timer is REALLY unfair! So I agree with you there.
I loved Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 as a kid. The soundtrack blows me away to this day and this was such a fun reaction to watch!
Have you ever listened to Xenoblade Chronicles Music? It has some of the best music in Nintendo (or gaming) history.
Thank you! I've been told Xenoblade has a great soundtrack. We will add it to the list!
Mario Galaxy ost always reminds me of Disney theme park music especially with Gusty Garden Galaxy it reminds me so much of Fantasmic
Keen observation!

I think I played the original donkey Kong country a long time ago, but I don’t remember the music… Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll check them out.
0:44 I've never played Mario Galaxy!

Fair enough I’ll look into it! Ha ha ha ha
Awesome to hear you react to the music as someone who has loved the music from these games for a long time. You should react to the sequel!
Thanks I’ll think about it for sure!
More Mario Galaxy!!!

You should react to the Super Mario Galaxy 2 Soundtrack!

Give some examples! We love hearing new material :)

Unfortunate you missed out on the space junk galaxy track
Good to know!
