I'm not a Yoshi fan and I'm sure half of the audience like are probably just happy that there's a continuation or an allusion to a continuation of a Cinematic Universe I mean they were they were just cheering up because there is going to be a continuation from the way it looks
Same here. This movie allowed me to escape my pathetic existence with over a dozen medical conditions even just for its running time. Haven't left my house other than a trip to the hospital since October 2022 and this movie had a cheesy grin on my face for the entirety of the movie
Same. Is it the greatest movie ever? No. But all it needed to be was a fun and faithful movie adaptation of Mario, and it succeeded that through the roof!
My nephew is a HUGE Mario fan but he was diagnosed with autism and loud noises scare him a bit, so we waited until the movie came out digitally to watch and he is obsessed and watches it almost everyday! My heart swells and tears well up in my eyes seeing his face light up every time he watches and how he excitedly yells “There’s Yoshi” at the end of the movie! This movie is so special for me, thank you for posting the reactions since I didn’t get a chance to experience it in the theater, but I wouldn’t change a thing about how I got to experience my first time watching❤️❤️

I honestly was not expecting that. He’s the blue shell and all but I did not see that coming. He literally killed himself for the cause. He hated Mario so much he killed himself😭.
I went to go see the movie on opening night with my friends and I gotta tell you, the theater was packed! We went crazy during the Superstars scene. We were clapping and cheering 😃

The Super Mario Bros. Movie undoubtedly has it's problems such as Chris Pratt's voice acting of Mario being inconsistent and the terrible use of modern day music instead of one's from the games, but the animation is really good, has a simple yet fun plot, and was a big exciting movie event.
It was inconsistent in that sometimes you can tell it was Pratt and sometimes It sounded really good. Not too big an issue for his real voice to leak in a bit at times. I’m glad it was mostly good
