Emmet and his band should get some kind of medal for the huge service they are doing for jazz music, particularly showing so many artist's work to the world.
Of course everybody loves your playing. But I'm a big fan of your singing, seriously. Thank you so much for bringing so much fun to the world, we need that!
I’m a newbie to all of this incredible talent; even had to look up the definition of NOLA. That’s a beautiful tone massaging my ears every time air passes your vocal cords Mr. Miller. Thank you. 🍻
"Live From Emmet's Place" should receive an award from all the Jazz Community. All the musicians presented here are fabulous and should deserve a very world wide recognition from the Music Business ! This is said. Emmet is THE MAIN MAN !!!!!

Basin St. Blues is one of those eternally great pieces. Beautifully played here. There's no conflict between playing post-bop as well as classic NOLA jazz in a repertoire.
With all due respect, all these musicians taking part in this series are great. But Emmet, Russell and Kyle are that well oiled machine making it all possible, and I can only praise them with a big Thank you!
Shout out to Jeffrey Miller. Emmet, Russell and Kyle are beautifully holding things together. I saw Julien Lee with the Lincoln Center Jazz Band and he was killing it as he is here. Anthony Hervey is new to me but is terrific. I'll remember and watch for him.
Amen, brother… the ancestors were talking. good lord, Anthony’s trumpet - & Julian’s clarinet: Y’all tapped into some deep heartache…and into another era, entirely. We hear you.
I adore shining light on *Lillian ‘Lil’ Hardin Armstrong* as the composer of *Struttin’ with Barbecue* …she was King Oliver’s pianist & Louis Armstrong’s 2nd wife - who also gave wings to his career. ✨ *’BBQ’* referred to a fine-lookin’ lady - (as confirmed by Cab Calloway’s jive lexicon ;) …and to be likened to a delectable choice of meat…I can’t say that I’m entirely mad at that premise. 🤦🏽♀️😂 (& said w/ fierce respect of women’s rights & gender equality) 🙌🏽 Take another listen - *the cadence absolutely evokes a glowing strut with one’s arm candy.* Long live NOLA… & keep struttin’ 😂… (& if you prefer to envision ribs, that’s OK too.)
Some incredible stuff. In the context of so much virtuosic bebop, swing and much else we’ve heard over the weeks, I was particularly dumbstruck by West End Blues here with both Emmet and Russell embracing spare but intense lines with deep feeling.
Emmet and his band should get some kind of medal for the huge service they are doing for jazz music, particularly showing so many artist's work to the world.
Also, I would love them to invite some musicians such as Jonathan Kreisberg or Kurt Rosenwinkel
Thanks for having me Emmet! ⚜️
Thank you Mr Miller - you wowed us all!

Jeffery, we deeply appreciate you…you & your art -best believe New Orleans is gonna rebound, stronger than ever. 🙌🏽
outstanding playing, man

“YES! Yes. And absolutely YES. There’s nothing more to it. I’m sorry, but YES!” 32 min mark. #truth
I'm grateful that I'm able to hear you all play on the regular - fantastic stuff. Kyle wins the 'most-entertaining-to-watch prize' every show.

Incredible! Thx so much for this great performance! Wonderful!
Good as ever. You all do such great work. As for the thumbs down, they must be scorned lovers or folks who don't like such impeccable fashion.
