Ford XR6 Sound System #1 - Overview and Box Design

This is the start of a new project in a BF Falcon.
Featuring:
-2x Sundown Audio x12s
-2x 2500.1 Rage B2 Audio Amplifiers
-600.4 Rage B2 Audio Amplifiers
-2x DC110 Fullriver Batteries
- Hertz 3 way speakers ( At this stage)
This episode is the quick overview of the system with the removal of all the old equipment in the boot. The box design is finalized and modeled in 3d CAD Ready to be cut and built.

If you can recall, with the port did you do width/2 for the back wall?

Correct, the rear section when splitting off to 2 will be half the width of the centre port width

@D2iAuto So to you, what would your keep port velocity at in trunk builds?
I have a design on winisd that is 4 cubes with 110 square inches of port area to keep it at about 27 m/s. It's about 6000 watts.

@riveralley that's fine keep it under 35 ideally but also make sure the port isn't too skinny,
When you get into a skinny port you end up with a boundary layer so effective area drastically reduces that's why a round port is a better design typically or hex or square

@@D2iAuto The port in the design on winisd is 9.5w x 11.5h

The box I have in the car now is like 5.22 cubes with 86 square inches of port. It did about a 144 at 28 from the trunk on about 2k and about a 146 at 30 with 5.5k.
That box in Winisd from what I can recall is like in the high 30 to low 40 m/s. I was thinking that mu efficiency isn't great is because of port compression.
