  • This is the second video in the XR6TXI Build.
Today is box building time. Start off by getting some wood then rough cutting to size for the CNC router. Once all pieces were cut on the CNC, it was time to assemble. The start of the box was assembled and next up was the Kerf. A brief discussion into kerfing and the 2 front panels were made. The rest of the box was built and the port was painted.
Next episode will finish the box and mount the subs plus test fit in the vehicle and run some wiring!

@@benstan7487 I've been doing automotive stuff and sound systems for about 9-10 years and almost finished my mechanical engineering degree at uni but hard running a business and uni and paying off a house etc so completing it slowly. So been working with cad and 3d modelling and design for quite sometime now I'd say maybe 7 years.

Awesome work man. It’s such a pity it’s all gonna hide inside the box though lol.
Do you fill your kurf cuts with anything? In the final frames of the video it looks like they are just open

Cheers mate, these were filled with glue and a little MDF dust seeing as it has a double baffle I'm not too worried about it sometimes I will fiberglass them but usually MDF dust and glue works well enough :)
