Pet Sounds is my favorite album of all time. Paul Dano is such a talent...he killed it as Brian and I can't wait to see him as the Riddler in the new Batman.
This guy is one of my new favorite actors!! He's been uniquely great in every film in which he's acted. And since watching the movie (Admittedly only recently) I have a new appreciation for Brian Wilson & Beach Boys music!! John Cusack was also brilliant, as were Elizabeth Banks & Paul Giamatti (as always). I never thought it would work with Dano and Cusack playing the same adult person, but it was perfect.

I was middling into the Beach Boys 30 years ago. Recently I have been trying to get into the Surf's Up/SMiLE/SmileySmile aspects and man it's almost too heavy emotionally. I see the brilliance but knowing where that was coming from makes it hard. With many songs, it's just a harshness. Brian Wilson's works aren't harsh but to know it all means something so personal is a heavy weight to hear at times. "Till I die" is so great but it's also gut wrenching. Like I'm listening to something that maybe should have been kept private but Wilson couldn't hide it so he offered it up to everyone. It's difficult to explain how it makes me feel.
+Edwina V Check him out in "there will be blood or Prisoners" very underrated actor. Dano is a awesome actor I hope he continues with excellent movie roles.

Paul Dano and John Cusack were excellent in playing Brian Wilson in the 1960's and 80's respectively.

this is the only biopic that is worth watching, not perfect but the best i’ve seen
Paul Dano was great in Little Miss Sunshine, amazing in Love and Mercy. Brilliant actor. Can't wait to see him in another movie.
