- Greetings, Historians! Today, I'd like to discuss a theory that's been talked about a fair few times in the past; the theory stating the Legend of Spyro and Skylanders are tied canonically. There are a few aspects I thought might be fun, although perhaps a bit hidden that could be brought up, though honestly in this video any theory or addition to this is as good as I can come up with.

My theory is that the Ancients made Skylands and added core concepts as well as core characters from their history/Mythos. The world they created will be protected by they’re ancient heroes but will also be attacked by their ancient enemies. Someplace that can’t be destroyed but only conquered.
So the "heaven" of spyros world?
For Sparx, it can merely be like in the Zelda franchise with characters with reaccuring names. Impa is merely a name used by the Sheikah and the name Zelda is a tradition for the royal family of Hyrule to name its princesses. A name can merely be a reuse.
to be fair zelda does reincarnate and so does link. but yeah characters like impa, malon, fado etc are probably just family names passed on through generation. or coincidence since theres only so many sounds and spellings people can come up with and theres always the chance a "new" names been done before. either way its usually more for the players than the story in these sorts of things
@@georgemitchell1394, it is only confirmed that only one Zelda is someone’s reincarnation and that is Skyward Sword Zelda being the mortal reincarnation of Hylia. The original Hyrule Warriors does allude to Hylia’s soul reincarnating alongside that of Hylia’s Hero as the other Zeldas, but that game is non-canon. Also, ghosts in Zelda are described as restless souls. How could the Hero’s Shade be the ghost of Ocarina of Time Link if his soul reincarnated as Twilight Princess Link. Also, how could the Zelda from Zelda 1 be the reincarnation of the Zelda from Adventure of Link. According to the lore, those two are alive simultaneously. The thing concerning Zelda is that all Zeldas are descended from the Zelda from Skyward Sword, the one who is the mortal incarnation of Hylia.
Then where was skylanders Spyro 10000 years ago during the first skylanders.
I actually had a similar idea after playing tlos dotd. Although my idea was a bit different. Really cool to see others have a similar idea! Keep up with the fun video’s!
This leaves a question, what about the dragons in the Dragon Temple level in Imaginators? Isn't the dragons here in reference of the dragons that help Spyro in his earlier games before he was a Skylander?
Ive always subscribed to the theroy that they are close mirror dimensions similar to star trek mirror dimensions. Where instead of history going one way it went the other somehow and popped out legends and skylanders. Or the other way around maybe classic spawned from one of the other timelines.
The whole reincarnation cycle would also apply to malefor wouldnt it? Also maybe the dark rift engine was MADE with the shattered remains of the cyrstal that sealed malefor?

@@loreofthedragon yeah, also I think the Spyro franchise would work well like crash 4 or like Zelda and have all the games canon. Idk seems like a good idea so everyone wins.
My theory Spyro and Cynder survived the final battle and were hurled through time to the distant future after Spyro used his powers to save the planet. They discover the Dragon Race had grown and prospered since their disappearance into the future and learn about Skylands being the floating islands that Spyro had created while putting the world back together. There they go there and meet Stealth Elf and the rest of the Skylanders and are shocked to learn they have elemental powers which was in impossible for them cause they thought only dragons could wield and use elemental powers. Of course they soon learn about their soon to be new pain in the neck arch foe Kaos and decide to form a team called the Skylanders with Spyro and Cynder as leaders of the team and recruiting inhabitants on the planet’s surface and in the islands to combat Kaos and his forces. Later they discover Kaos learning about Malefor and tries to release him from his prison and try to stop him, however, Kaos manages to free the Dark Master who in turn banish Spyro, Cynder, and their new friends and teammates to Earth where they meet human kind as Malefor sends his new armies to Earth and destroy Spyro and Cynder and the others for good to make they don’t stop him from trying to destroy the world again.
I was actually thinking 🤔💭🧐 about this yesterday. Or last night, or this morning. I don’t really remember.
Tlos Spyro could have been an “ancient” or like the ancestor of them
I have a question spark mainly because he was never actually involved in the main story he was just really a piece of gear for the game ask for Spyro and Cynder I have two options one specifically related to this Siri they were flown through time with a blast like that anything's really possible plus you have to remember in Legend of Spyro they said that a chapter is made whenever a dragon dies therefore spiral and Fender never died so they could have been blasted to the future or they were just sent to the realm of Skylands as for the main villain I like the idea of the corporeal being being reborn kind of deal
I have seen some connections between the two series the 2 skylanders game that could connect are swap-force and trap team.
Ok so for swap-force kaos found something called petrified darkness what these dark crystals do is turn people and animals evil and I thought what if malefor spirit was in side each crystal because he was sucked into that giant one.
Another reason would be the magic volcano and the 4 elementals you see the 4 elementals job is to gather all leftover magic in skylands put it inside the volcano to recycle so all the magic would rejuvenate so i thought what if that magic was from legends spyro because he did sorta put the world back together as floating islands and the final fight with malefor in dotd took place inside of a volcano so the 4 elemental brought the magic back to the volcano because thats where legends spyro did his magic time freeze move to make the floating islands.
The last one is trap team the only link i see is malefor is trap inside a crystal and that the are skylanders called trap masters who use crystals called traptanium that traps bad guys.
Personal theory is at the end of dotd post credit scene where the chronicler couldn’t find any evidence that spyro and cynder died was they actually were thrown through time essentially because the balance of dark and light aether personal theory that dark aether controls space and light controls time practically rewrote the time line by accident it makes very little sense at the moment but while try to expand it and make it a whole theory one day
Well the plot armor end in my view. It would have ended and technically naturally does end in the catacombs. Imo. It’s just my view and I have good reasons to argue this. XD
May i suggest a Ripto video? He is classic Spyro's nemesis, after all.
The original Spyro is also connected, but not like yours. Plus it definitely has nothing to do with the Ancients. The original has floating islands too, not just Dream Weavers. While it’s likely temporarily in the three worlds of the Dragon Realms, Avalar, and the Forgotten Realms, Skylands is always like this.

What about design style detail instead lore storytelling like two tlos were cartoony, dotd mix realism detail cartoon style. Skylander looks whole chibi childish body character designed than different body design basic entriry

Where does cynder go and would she take the mantle Spyro had and save the world if she somehow escaped its grip after Spyro was devoured? XD I’m actually working on a dark fanfic story but I’d like to see how you’d do it for inspiration.
Don’t see how it’d be possible given the magical chain binding them together. In reality they’d both perish no matter how much strength they put into breaking the chain. Don’t think it’d make for much of a video unfortunately

@@loreofthedragon actually last thing. I think it’d work for a video. It’s just an AU like a what if video. Plus you can do multiple what if’s in a video. Not just that bad ending, do what you want it’s your choice.😊❤ But think about it? I think a multi what if video would make it big enough for a video, since you’d have your own what if’s or questions you have. About the game and it’s endings. (Technically the qte fails are bad endings and I’d argue canon since they do happen naturally XD) Anyways chao
I don't think they should be connected, Spyro,Cynder and Malefor aren't strong enough links to justify a connection in my oppinion. I like Skylanders, its a guilty pleasure for me, but more like a parallel universe in the Spyro multiverse
I believe canonically that’s what actually is the case? The whole multiverse trend was applied to both Crash and Spyro so in reality I believe they are indeed just alternate dimensions… which is a while other theory I’ve talked about in the past. This is more just an exploration of the idea, though I personally don’t quite believe legend and skylands are in the same universe
