Why wasn't this cleaner used when you ceramic coated the interior in another video? In that video, you said to use rinseless wash. This is getting confusing, I'm not wanting to keep buying products I don't need.

@@diydetailofficial thank you I’ll try that 👍 I just look for the best way to do soiled areas bc I don’t like getting my towels absolutely soiled with gunk and old food, and dirt. I’ve had to throw some away before but they were cheaper interior towels. But now whenever I get a towel pretty soiled I let it soak in the rinseless bucket and that seems to help a lot
Been trying to tackle my moms interior last couple days, but 7 years, 2 dogs, and has never had more than a light vacuum. I've got most of it done but the rear seats need some extra love. Apart from a heavy vacuuming, I'm not sure what the next step would be. My limited knowledge says, upholstery shampoo, drill brush then extractor. I just don't know if that's going too far.
Clean, Protect & Disinfectant? Perhaps using a disinfectant on steering wheels? I like your analogy on vacuuming coming towards the end of the detail! And NEVER spraying product directly onto interiors!!! Thank you gentlemen...
Yes, but it’s only minimal, and we are not fans of using such marketing tricks. Like saying a wheel cleaner is rust inhibiting, all surfactants exhibit rust inhibiting properties, but they are also removed as soon as you rinse.
Loving the content Yvan. I have an Alcantara steering wheel, looks and feels great (when clean), but upgrading from leather wasn't the smartest move for a daily driver. Do you have any tips for cleaning and maintaining? I've been using Sonax, Dr. Beasleys protection (no noticeable difference), I keep a brush in the glove box and even keep a handheld vacuum in the car to catch the dust generated by brushing, but it's still hard to keep on top of the maintenance
They are definitely higher maintenance. Clean well with DIY Detail Rinseless Wash, make sure it’s dry, then coat with DIY Detail Interior Ceramic Coating . It will make future maintenance easier.
Where do you get your interior towels? Looks like they have alternating strips of higher and lower pile (the blue ones you were using on the steering wheel)
I was looking forward for an interior detail video, thanks! If I understand correctly, interior clean, and protect, is your one step process for a relatively well-maintained vehicle. If I want to use interior ceramic, though, I need to clean the interior with Rinseless, correct?
I always keep a bottle of 256:1 DIY Rinseless and a few microfiber towels in my car for bird turds and anything else. Can I also keep a bottle of Crystal Clear in the car so when I notice the interior windshield or windows are dirty, I can take care of them then while I am thinking about it? Or can the hot summer temperatures affect the chemical make up of Chrystal Clear?
On another Facebook detailing page, a question was asked if the door jambs are part of an interior or an exterior detail. The correct answer is... Both!
I wish the vehicles I do were that clean lol i like having a bucket of rinseless to keep my dirty rag or brushes that way i use less expensive chemicals as the equipment is already premoistened and i feel the satisfaction of seeing the dirt in the bucket.......some I need to change the water its so bad lol. For carpets that are nice and clean like that I like to spray a nice smelling rinseless lightly before the vaccum just to give a nice fresh and clean scent to the carpets (or cloth seats)
Hey guys- I bought a new Jeep Wrangler in the fall. It is my daily driver. I plan on having the top and doors off more days than not. It lives in a garage at night. Not so much when I'm at work during the day. What do I use for protection? I'm assuming the interior clean and protect as well as the interior ceramic. The real question is how often should I be applying these? Do I need to reapply the ceramic when it get's rained on? Interior is black, seats are NOT cloth, floors are carpeted however they are covered with weather tech mats front, rear and back. Oh, my parking spot only get's morning sun. Any advice you can provide is appreciated. Just so you don't think I'm too nuts- I live less than a mile away and there is a parking garage within a block- Both viable options when an unexpected thunderstorm blows in

Is there a product that only creates an anti-static surface? Don't need a cleaner - I just dilute an APC. (I am aware that Ivan has said this is risky - I haven't had any issues yet). I found a product at a supermarket for linen, but not for hard surfaces.
@@diydetailofficial I know that - I'm asking whether there is a product that just adds the anti-static property, without also being a cleaner. What did you add to it to give it the anti-static property? 😀😀
it's nice to have, the marketplace expects it, so we offer a product with cleaning power and a bit of UV protection in it as well. Rinseless Wash is also a phenomenal interior cleaning product:)
Re "UV protection" - Dmitrys Garage has been testing products for that, and to the best of my knowledge, none have provided any meaningful protection. I wonder how this product would fare?
Uv protection is minimal with any cleaning product. If UV protection is your main objective then DIY Detail Interior Ceramic Coating is the product to use.
@@diydetailofficial thanks. That's what they've been testing - ceramic coatings, mostly. No or very little UV protection. (it's certainly possible their testing method is flawed, of course)
@gregsullivan7408 Also modern paints do not really benefit from UV protection, there’s lots built in. For the interior ceramic UV inhibitors are very much present.
No buffer machine to clean the seats, I'm so disappointed! Spot clean your interior every wash, all the touch surfaces like steering wheel, shifter, touchscreen, door handle. Interior C&P is great or keep a bottle of rinseless wash mixed up, you can buy and fill a 4oz spray bottle to keep in the center console with a towel. It'll take you literally a minute each car wash to wipe these areas down and make the car more enjoyable to use. Every 2-3 months, I'll do a comprehensive rinseless wash wipedown on the interior, when I feel the inside of windows is getting a haze for example. Use a small contractor bucket from Home Depot, fill it half full which is 1 gallon, add a capful of rinseless, good to go, mixing made easy. Ensure to ring out the towel so it's damp but no drips, go back to rinse and ring out as much as you like. Use the power of dwell time on dirty areas, wipe and wait 15-20 seconds then wipe again before you try using a stronger chemical or abrasive media. Dry dust the vents with a soft detail brush or paint brush works too, but if cleaner is needed dip into the rinseless then shake out excess, clean the vents, and use a 2nd dry brush to finish or blow with air if you have it. Sequence: windows first, then go top down, spot clean the headliner, A+B pillars, gently wipe the seat belts, dash top, steering wheel and instrument cluster, center stack inc touchscreen, console/shifter/cupholders, arm rest, then I'll do the seats if leather and door panel opening by opening, and finish with kick panels with a melamine sponge very lightly on any scuffs and finish the door jambs if needed. To maintenance clean fabric, mix a teaspoon of Woolite into a 500ml/16oz bottle (like a spare DIY bottle) and fill the rest with water. Spray liberally onto a microfibre towel and wipe the seat or carpet (or headliner!), if dirty keep repeating using a clean side of the towel, then use a dry microfibre towel to buff until dry, keep flipping to a dry side of the towel to ensure no more liquid is being picked up. Whatever is left on the fabric will dry quickly, typically within 30 minutes. Vacuum regularly! Get a cordless vacuum and make it easy on yourself, otherwise you probably won't do it often enough. I have a Ryobi cordless that looks like a tool box, other tool manufacturers make them too, it's got too power for maintenance cleaning. And I have two extension wands so I can literally open a door, stand there and vacuum for 10-15 seconds and I'm done, move to the next opening. Again make it easy on yourself and you'll do it more often.

Generic Amazon brush
@@diydetailofficial thanks - hopefully they'll test your interior coating at some stage
I use swiffer fort dusting my interior
Whatever works for you!
For heavens sake, when people are doing the door jambs, open the back door so you can do the entire pillar top to bottom.
Yes
What about the sun visors? Start top to bottom sun visors first guys. lol
Good tip
Informative video, get rid of the MUSIC!
Thank you
What do you use for cloth seats to clean and protect?
DIY Detail Interior Clean & Protect to clean
DIY Detail Interior Ceramic Coating to Protect.
I could do with out the background music or at leaste lower the level of it.
Thank you
No buffer machine to clean the seats, I'm so disappointed!
Thanks for explaining your process 👍
I know how to clean the interior of cars real good. I just call someone else to do it. simple. :)
lololol maybe they will have watched our videos:)
@@diydetailofficial I hate hate hate doing the interior. I’m 6’5” and always hit my head shoulder or elbows on stuff. I would happily pay a small dude to get in there. Ty.
Ready
See you Sunday 👍
Get your products to India! So many dirty cars here😂 It's pretty expensive to ship the products otherwise
Please ask your favourite distributor to import it.
I'am Kinda BLOWN AWAY with the Interior Clean & Product, and the fact that you aren't spraying it ALL OVER EVERYTHING, and the Console arm rest and the SEAT, You Just WIPED it on and WIPED it Off???? Seem's like nothing got Cleaned, but you showed the Towel and it was Filthy??? Seems too Easy, and Like ya didn't leave any protection behind, But You Did. Hmmmmmm??? Do you ever Brush the Interior Clean Product to Clean Deeper??? Or just the Towel and Wipe and that's It? Very Interesting????
You can brush if you’re trying to make a viral video on social media, or you have lots of time on your hands.
You guys never clean a dirty vehicle..... what about detailing for country folk

@@diydetailofficial that's cute, but the video I commented on was about interior cleaning.
Most enthusiasts don’t allow their car to get overly dirty
@@diydetailofficial you need to take a few trips to the country where it's humid... impossible not to get lots of dust. Every Day
I hate seeing detailers using steam cleaners on electronics. Do you want to get sued... thats how you get sued...
Agreed
I don’t understand these videos, wouldn’t it be better to show and explain than to imaginarily explain things? We’re not reading a book here, we’re watching a video 😂
We did a fair bit of showing, is there something you want to see more of for a future video?
Why show this on a clean SUV. I want to see it work on a dirty soccer mom SUV. With french fries all over the place grease and grime in the cracks and crevices grime on the surfaces.
It’s the vehicle we had access too. The principals are the same
@@diydetailofficial Ok then show a true soccer mom vehicle and use the same technique on a dirty grimy dried up food sticky finger prints on all the windows from the kids. If the results show this stuff works the way you show and explain I'll buy some and use it.
@cbigruck1 go visit our facebook group, you will get many real world examples.

Guys I just unsubscribed from DIY. It is not that I don’t think you guys are good it is just so many videos is got to be overwhelming. I wish you well and I will look up DIY when I have something I am looking for.
We love what we do! Sorry if you feel like there are too many videos. We'll be here when you need us:) And thanks for all of your support so far
dude you can simply just look at the videos that interest you.
They’re some real dummies in this world .
Honestly love your videos. But cars this clean to detail really dont exist! Im cursed with dirty people. I did a porche yesterday and it was disgusting. People are lazy so that is money.
Correct,
Using a circular brush attachment to a shop vac works ideally for vents and the dashboard & nooks & crannies. The brush agitates everything and the powerful vacuum in the middle sucks everything up instantly. Makes it go so much faster too.
nice! Have a link or did it come with the vacuum?
