I produce all of my music and record all the vocals on my phone using GarageBand, I also use distrokid to put my music out. You’ve gotta work with what you have! 😜

@@babansingh7592 The secret to recording directly to your phone is to have the phone close to you. If the phone is further than an arms length from your mouth the audio will begin to sound tinny. You can of course over ride that by purchasing a U.S.B. microphone and attaching it to your phone. The magic happens then in post editing. I use a free programme called Audacity..First class audio editor..I use effects like E.Q, Compression & slight Reverb.

I was just about to do a recording session in my phone and an earphone mic close to my mouth lol. Never really thought of recording inside the car and using a pencil but thank you so much for the ideas. I was just having trouble with the breathing noises I make while singing and you just answered my prayers hahaha thank you so much~

@Amazane Channel @June Stay When you record in a car, you still get echo from the glass (or) the voice sounds squeezed in a closed out environment (do you call it reverb? Iam not sure)... So when I record two chapters of a book, Back to back at the same time in the same car, I find that my voice differs a bit in both recordings. One recording sounds good and one recording sounds as if Iam struggling for air.

Keep a distance from the mic then.
Maybe it's cause the breathing will push the air molecules to the Mic, creating muffled sounds, so that's why the girls said to use a cloth in front of you voice (maybe not too thick)

I'll try your tips next time! Usually when i record my vocals theres always those annoying buzzy noises which I can't clean up using Soundbooth or Audacity. I'll try turning off the air-conditioning & putting a pencil/piece of fabric next time

Ok we have this project in music, we have to write our own lyrics, and sing it with the like melody of another song. We can either record it or sing it live while we're in class. I dont like singing live, so i want to record it. I want to like go all out and like do harmonies and stuff and im looking for tutorials on like recording and stuff. So this is rly helpful! Thanks!
Use a mic splitter adapter for the phone..so you can use the external mic and earphones separately... It comes both in the USB type c version and the classic 3.5mm jack...

You can get headphones that don't have microphones so the beat plays out of the headphones but your phone's microphone will act as the microphone

Thank you so much! I haven’t tried this yet but this sounds really promising! I’m not writing a song, but I am recording audio for an animation that I’m working on! Since I’m the only one working on it and I’m using other people’s songs (like video game music since it’s an if I was in kind of animation) I wanted to at least use my voice for my character(s)!
