The drive sounds exactly how you would expect, but the clean sounds are WAY better than you would expect. Sounds like an amazing amp
Sounds absolutely fantastic! Surely the most sought after Marshall tone! So rich, deep, and harmonically complex!
That sound just made me smile! 🎸
best demo of this model on youtube.
Great visual too
Great review. That was well recorded.
awesome amp,great demo!!
Very thorough, thanks.
Goodness ..... Sweet gravy....
Great amplifier
Great demo !!!
I just picked up an 82 Canadian version in mint condition.
It’s all original except for the speaker, last owner replaced the old g12-80 with a g12-65
Great tone monster here
Cheers 🤘
Ho avuto tutto da jcm 900 in su ma grazie al tuo video me la sono preso.
Grazie! 🙏🙏🙏
English, international language.
Lmao Que mamon “international language” 😂
C'è l'ho ! Dal 91 ( stessa griglia dorata) non riesco a risalire all' anno(spesso ho pensato di venderlo ma dopo questa demo.. Smanetto con i Knob) Grazie
thankGod theres a 100€ pedal by LY-ROCK for this tone, Sweet Tea, and I have one arriving soon!😎
does this have the original speaker? mine has G12T-75...
What tubes you've got inside?
Why didn't you dime the normal channel? You get the cleans with the knob on the guitar.
Are the 2 channels knobs linked?
Does the amp have the original Celestion G12M-70 speaker?
sounds great! what year? Marshall said ths was one of their top 2 all time best sellers -badass
I remember seeing amp and guitar sales listed in every issue of gftpm back then and yes, these amps sold very well.
Do you ever notice that if you have high volume on clean channel, when you use the Gain channel at lower volume you can ear the cleaning inside and viceversa ?
What speaker 🔊 use insidie?
What year is yours, if I might ask? I have an 89 that I bought new many years ago, still looks almost brand new. Let me ask you, have you ever plugged your guitar into the effects return? Does the master volume work when, and if you do that?
Mi servirebbe anche indirizzo x eventuale service , grazie
What kind of speaker in?
I have this amp and have been using it as my main amp for most stuff for 10 years. Mine is an early one and has channel bleed that this one doesn't seem to have. I think they sound great and the cleans are good. Love the reverb too. Also, they sound really good by pushing the channel volume and having the master relatively low. When I changed to Tung Sol EL34B outputs, it sounds good quiet now too. Sound men!
Also, I still have the original Celestion G12M70 that most people dislike as there is not much bass but crazy mids! This means that it sits great in a band mix and really cuts through.
Also sounds amazing paired with a Fender Deluxe Reverb in a wet dry rig as the dry running pretty clean and using pedals.
They are really affordable too!
Funny you say that as I own a 1989 and it has the original celestion G 12M-70 .. I think it sounds pretty good, as it's been broken in over the last 30 years. Cleans are even better then what you hear in this video . I love the reverb and my tubes are GE , no complaints here... I can get a jcm 900 1 12 combo for cheap , but not sure if it will sound better then this 800? I know it has sovtek tubes and a celestion g12h. Might have to check it out , as it doesnt hurt to try. My 800 is immaculate, 900 is in good shape .
@@darrylcole5575 my experience with JCM800's and 900's in general is that the 800's always sound better. Not sure why. They just do. Don't sell your 800!
I HAVE A 4211 monster, removed 1 speaker, now I'm using a V30, and play with MASTER in 2....it's loud! I LOVE how it can sounds little vintage and modern too. All valver are JJ modern, in future will change for tung sol or another warm valves...long life for jcm800!
I have this same amp. What tubes are in yours? I love the tones!
I wanted to ask the same question!
whats the difference between the 4210 and the 4010?
The 4210 is the combo version of the split channel head. The 4010 is the combo version of the single channel head.
What year is this one?I hear people say that the later ones sounds the best but this one looks like the older version because of the grill cloth and i think this one sounds better then any newer ones ive heard!87-90
I had an 81 or 82 and it was a fantastic sounding amp. I remember it having big drake transformers and an 80w celestion. I now have a 1990 2210 and I love it, but it's a little cleaner sounding. The early 4210 was very distorted in a good way
@@ericandrews1661 I got an 81 and I love it. The previous owner had it modded to remove the clipping diodes I believe so I have to front end mine with a pedal to get this tone but I am cool with it. Sometimes I get the itch to sell it then I play it.
I love the cleans on it too. Great amp IMO. Schenker fan too so that helps.
Brian
@daddyslittlejunkies I think mine was an 82. But I remember being blown away by it the first moment I heard it, and the same went for everyone else who did. That's definitely one to keep. I'd like another one myself. I have the 2210 and love it, but the 50s sound great. I believe they have the drake transformers vs dagnall in the 100s. Love Schenker.
What year or what’s the serial number (letter) ?
Looks like an ‘86 to me....circuit changed in ‘87 (for the better in my opinion).....
do you know more about this? i read some conflicting opinions on the 4210, and right now i'm looking at a used 4210 for 500€ - which would be a 87 according to the ad
Did you use an overdrive pedal at all in this demo?
No!
@@ChopTonesOfficial sounds sick! Going to look at a used amp just like the one in your video; apparently they only made this style for a couple years
@@ChopTonesOfficial Is it stock in that the clipping diodes are in tact? I have an 81 that was clipped so I have to add OD in front to get this tone. Easily done though with a pedal.
Why does this sound 100% better than the newer DSL series ?
Probably the good drake transformers they used on these, plus the big LCR filter caps. Nothing against the dsl amps, but these were great amps
What’s the name of the song at the beginning?
One Vision by Queen
How does this amp compare to a DSL40 ?
I HAD both, the 800 way far better :) dsl40 is not a REAL amp, too much chips inside, a bug amp
@@jalaskabtu Thanks that's what I figured
Si ma che chitarra hai jombrez? Ahahaha non è solo l amplificatore a fare la differenza! 😉
Check the description :)
Am I the only one that gets warm and fuzzy when a cranked Marshall cuts loose???
What is the year of this amp?
I think 1981
Please, fix that M 😄
