59 year old woman here. Been doing this workout on and off for about a year. For those saying it’s not easy to recover between sets, pause the video and take a few extra seconds or use lighter kettle bells. I alternate between 15, 20 & 30lb kettle bells depending on the move and I can finish this workout completely. The key is LISTEN👏🏼TO👏🏼YOUR👏🏼BODY!!
52 here. Went sudden cardiac arrest while partially spinally decapitated. Got a pacemaker now and my neck fused front and back. I have sick sinus syndrome tachy brady of the heart and I have occipital neuralgia pain going into my head for life. But I WORKOUT . :-) Working out seems to keep my tachycardia episodes at bay and it doesn't hurt my head pain any more than it is. I did take like 5 years of from working out but have been working out the past 9 months.... bye bye dad bod syndrome lol
HEY FUNK ARMY AND FAMILY. - Hope you enjoy this amazing 20 MINUTE HIIT WORKOUT!!!! Please LIKE SHARE and COMMENT and grab those Kettlebells - MUCH LOVE - Funkster
@@babyblue7283 There`s always one. Yes the title you typed IS stupid. 🤣 He clearly said in the video anyone can actually try the workout but he designed it for men from 40 to 70+ for reasons he mentioned.
I'm 45. And reasonably fit to begin with. But by the time I started training seriously with kettlebell, 45 days ago, I start burning fat and build muscles like I was 18 years old. Everyone is noticing I way more muscled and lean in a very short time.
I'm new to kettlebells. Been doing barbells and dumbbells till now. This is a great introduction for me I'm going light initially and then progressively increase weight/reps over the coming months, as my 68 year old body adapts. Thanks for the great inspirational video Funk!
Try skateboarding doing ollies etc for 30 minutes at 44 years old , it's just brutal because ya constantly jumping and using ya whole body more or less , but this workout looks great . I lost 8 kgs just from walking the dog and taking up skateboarding again . Before I would just sit there and play games . Shit moving ya body you will loose weight , who would of thought lol . Took up the bow staff again also , good for the arms .
I have a physical job. I was on leave for 30 days and 2 weeks before returning to work decided to do this workout. Needless to say I was able to preform my duties without a problem. Salute to Funk who sold me on kettlebells.
Thank you for this workout. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish it cause I’m really out of shape but I did what I could. I’m gonna keep doing it until I can do it all in the 20 minutes
Keep it up James. I have been using kettlebells for over 16yrs now and they are absolutely worth sticking at. Sometimes you might not be bothered with training for a few weeks or months. But when you do its just there at your disposal. Its handy easy to use and you get a real benefits from it. A friend of mine is a keen gym goer and does lots of weights. I give him a go of a 20kg kettlebell and we did a 15 min workout non stop. He was blowing out his arse and couldn't believe how hard it was.
As a 49yo who's had many sports-related injuries over the years, I want simple but effective workouts that move and strengthen my whole body while allowing me to focus on good form. This workout was a perfect blend of form and function. Thanks funkmaster!
I am 61 yrs old and love my KBs. I love them so much that as an already qualified personal trainer, I got my qualification as a KB instructor. My clients love them and I do too. KBs are now a major part of my routines.
Thanks man. You saved my day. I'm almost 40. This workout help me get over crisis (contusions, lack of motivation and general burn out) . Thanks again.
Feels like this will help with my mountainbiking (Enduro/Downhill) during off season. I already have a bunch of KB's laying around. Thanks for the inspiration!
I just turned 59. I am Really out of shape, but Thank You very much Mr. Funk Roberts. I really enjoyed this and I was able to just keep up with you and it feels great. I will definitely do this everyday that I can. You are a blessing and thanks again.!!!
I'm an armwrestler, so staying stronger is the key. I have to say this type of cardio is fantastic for me. It burns fat and makes you stronger at the same time (depending on your intensity and how heavy you go). I prefer this over bike, running, or any cardio machine at the gym. Only swimming is my other cardio of choice.
WOW. I've spent the last 10 months losing 130lbs, and the last 2 months I've started doing light exercising and recently dusted off my old kettle bell. I've been following a basic full body rep based routine and whilst it working and i was gradually getting stronger, i decided to mix it up and try this HIIT work out. In my cockiness i said I'd do 3 rounds and i soon realised I'd made a big mistake. 1st round was getting warm, started feeling the heard rate go up towards the end, by the end of the 2nd round the heart rate was up, sweat was dripping and my legs were burning. But i was determined to do 3 rounds if it killed me, and i swear it nearly did, i could feel my heard ready to burst from my chest but got did it feel good. This is my new work out routine from now on and will check out other material from Funk too.
Thank you for this complex and explanations. I am 40. When I was young, I was a karate teacher. Then for myself I regularly did jogging , about 10 - 15 km. but for the last 4 years, due to work and worries about my little son, I did not train much, only yoga push-ups, squats. I started having some back problems. And I felt the power go away. Now I bought weights, so far 8 kg each. I didn't know where to start. Thank you very much. Very good explanations. And inspire.
Yesterday I purchased three KB 35 and 2 -25lbs. I did this workout this morning and went to the office feeling it. Great simple workout for me 51y/o who’s works out three X a week. I give this thumbs up 👍🏽
Hiya Funk, would just like to say thank you for your videos, im 65 and train 7 days a week using various workouts on a 5 week rota. Have just found your channel and have added it to my routines, great stuff keep up the good work....gonna drop some of your HIIT Workouts in in the future....thank you once again
I am over 50 female and been searching for a good kb that will show the proper way to swing the bell . I believe I found it and will give it a try. Thank you .
Hey Funk, you always have great workouts. I'm a man, over 40(64) and I workout regularly. Love what you and the wife do. Will do this workout. Love kettle bells especially after I've gotten older. Thank you and keep it Funky!
I tried this workout last night with the same weights you used. I was gassed during the last single hand swings. Probably could have used a lighter weight by that point. Exhausting but felt great! Thanks for the great workout!
Just hit the big 50.. Thanks for this video! Only have one bell right now but I'm sure the one will be enough for now..👍🏽👍🏽💪🏽👊🏽 Oh new subscriber now .
Awesome right now I only have a 35 LB KB, which is 16 Kilos but I'm starting this immediately I'm 50 yrs old Thanx Funk will also get your book. I also plan to get heavier KBs maybe 45 lber. Thanx Funk
💪🏽 Bro, great quick little workout. Sweating and heart rate is up. Nice little exercise routine for my break on night shift… and yes, I bring my KB’s to work just for that. Only have 45 lb’ers, but they worked great. Looking forward to your other vids. Great having my own coach while doing this too. 🤙🏼
My man Funk thank you sir you are truly an inspiration to me as a man over 40 trying to keep, build and condition to overcome or slow down the Aging process… keep the video’s rolling don’t stop we love it… big up to you. Peace
I love this video! Thanks a lot, will defo do it. As a 55 years old Inise the 12kg and 16kg. (The only thing I do differently is the swing, I bend my legs more so they generate the swing too.) Thanks again! 💪🏼
I'm over 50 and just discovered this which looks great and I'm gonna throw this in my routine, so thank you. The problem I have is when I lift it above my head the kettle bell hurts the outside of my wrist by pressing on it, is this technique, I'm just not used to it or do I need a lighter weight? Thanks
Thx for the video, it’s fun to follow it as it was live. I btw prefer to do the floor presses with a glute bridge, what makes it much more complex, firing the lower back, glutes and core and increasing the range of motion of the working arm.
Great workout. Used to hit the gym a lot and took an extended break and I got fat and turned 40. Great workout and great instructor! Glad to get back into the swing of things. Thanks I plan to follow more of your videos
Very do-able follow along workout! I’m much like you Funk man, focusing on older people kettlebell classes. Don’t forget to stretch afterwards but first & foremost warm up good b4 you start! 💪👊
Thank you for posting a great workout. I am new to doing a full workout with Kettlebells and this was very enjoyable and quick. I'll definitely be doing this again.
*By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*
Hi Funk ,.. I’ve worked the trades and by osmosis I remained in shape for over 40 years but not cut like you ( superb specimen by the way) I was hard and thick and my diet consisted of righteous super burritos and sandwiches. As I progressed in my career my job got softer, being in a supervisory role I got weaker but not fatter. I got a total gym and periodically crunch it out, also I pickup a 40 lb slam ball and walk it from one side of my yard and slam . I do this 5 times. I then put on knee pads and gloves and some hard shoes and crawl on my hands and knees around my pool. Not as easy as it sounds… half way through I feel like giving up. It stretches my body out so it’s good. I may try your work out … It looks superior to what Im doing… thanks for showing how it’s done… hope I can do it. I’m 64 years old by the way.
I'm 58 and need to turn a new leaf. I've always found kettlebell type work outs fascinating. I've ordered 3 KB's...25, 35, and 45 lbs, and am really looking forward to getting to that 'Old man strong' point like you obviously are. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to try this workout. Quick question...is it ok to do 1:00 rests? I'm pretty out of shape.
Iam 46 a little overweight and just did my first workout this morning. Almost made it all the way to the end. I can tell Iam out of shape. A hour after my workout and my body is still recovering
Hey Funk, How often do you suggest completing this set of exercises to stay in shape? Once a month, once a week? Doing it every day seems a bit much for me...
Love the workout, and the other 20 minute beginner kettlebell, but i can't for the life of me get the strict press. I use a 16kg kettlebell, and its perfect for all exercises, but I can't lift it if I don't support my elbow with the other hand, or if I go a little down in the knees and "pop" it up. I can't afford a smaller kettlebell just for the strict press, van you help with either a different exercise, or an alteration, so I can manage the strict press? Best regards, Esben, a teacher who have never worked out, but now have a 2 week streak with the kettlebell, all thanks to you.
Funk first workout after Covid-19 for me. alIbqas up to your 40 mins workoutv prior to getting Covid-19 . Starting again wity baby steps. Thanks for the workouts.🤗💪👍🔥 Abrazos Funk to you and your wife.
Hello Funk Robert’s I just found your Y.T video and subscribed. The timing is ideal. Every 90 days I develop a new strength and cardio 90 day program. I followed your workout out today added 20 minutes Battle Rope Tabata. Together it knocked on my 68 yr old body. Love it 💕 Heart rate 140. Perfect Thankyou You will be with me every other day watching you as I mirror you.
This looks awesome man , do you think you need to stretch before doing this or anything . I found a 5 kg one lying around the house . Need to start using it , not getting any younger at 44 . You might have arthristus in your wrists , I have it in both of them and the fingers . I found out I had it when I broken one of my hands , they had to laser the cartilage out of my wrist . Sometimes it's very painful .

Brutal. Loved it. Thank you for sharing this one - just did my first 20 min. Heart’s pumping hard.
Thank you!! Keep it up!!!

Yo Funk, keep knocking them out. Always enjoy your presentations.
Haha “Fanboying out on kettlebells.” Lol. Loving this workout. You’re the only one that’s making me appreciate the kb. Thnx
