Learning from Dr. Ekberg I startet going on a journy to experience my body better and better. My body gives such clear messages about what is good and what is bad which I had actually my whole life and now I learn more and more to understand those messages. I´m so greatful for all you do, Dr. Ekberg. And thank you, dear body of mine for talking so clear to me now and sorry for all I´ve unknowingly done to you my whole life.
I have a question about the butter, when you say butter do you mean we have to use like the real cream butter? Like land of lakes or the Irish butter? Because I know that stuff like imperial butter and blue bonnet butter is rather processed
Now, here's a doctor doing his part to spread knowledge and help people understand what they are putting into their bodies and the long term results. Totally, free of charge!!
Best thing about this channel is Doc don't post short click bait videos like others who just stretch it to 10 mins to maximize ads revenue instead he makes a full length video and leave no stone unturned to explain what he wants to say. I have replaced my refined Vegetable Oil with Cold pressed coconut oil long ago I think I did the right thing.
@@MReza-nq3pd Well, majority of people are idiots anyway. If you can't hold your concentration more than 10 minutes, that sounds like a problem, maybe consult your doctor about it. The video should be as long as it needs to be, when thoroughly going thorugh the facts and say what you gotta say to convey the most accurate and sufficient information to the listener. These videos could be 2 hours and I would still remain glued to the screen, these are just that interesting, valuable, and information packed videos. This speaks about the quality of Dr. Ekberg's content.
Or maybe the shorter videos are better for people who aren't interested in the detailed biochemistry behind the premise or those who don't have 30 minutes to listen to something that they may not understand or will remember. I enjoy and learn from both.
For the new watchers: Dr. Sten Ekberg's videos are a bit longer than some other similar channel's videos just because he is a great source who explains "Why?" and "How?" questions from the zero buttom, very clearly. Plus, you don't understand how the time goes with full of information.
At last ...a food nutrition specialist who speaks in plain simple english that everyone can understand and benefit from. I enjoy the graphics and the pacing of these lectures.
Thank you Teleflex. I really appreciate your feedback and so glad that you liked it. The purpose of my channel is to explain things better than other channels and help people understand the principles. I spend so much time on it because when we get "the why" and the mechanism we become empowered for life . Comments like yours makes it all worthwhile. 😄
@@drekberg No thank you, DR. Your channel has made me a more informed food shopper..and more importantly more informed about what foods I put in my body. Keep on informing, and educating us.🤗
@@drekberg Absolutely! The understanding of WHY eating (for example) 'reduced fat yoghurt' is so much worse for all of us than the ordinary /normal 'full fat' one is a lifetime lesson in not flooding one's body with excessive amounts of insulin - which piles fat on, locks it away and then engenders hunger!!! THANK YOU, Dr Sten, for helping all of us understand how this complicated machine known as the human body actually works!!!
@@paulfaulkner6299 Glad you mentioned this comparison .. I get a little confused over this. "Some" low fat/reduced sour creams & cream cheeses the carb counts really aren't that different than the high fat one's. Is it only the low fat yoghurts that you should stay away from?
@@shapienails3067 Hi Shapie. In short, anything with the fat taken out of it will have had some form of sugar (carbohydrate) put in it in its place. eg Low fat cheese - avoid like the plague! We have cave-man bodies. If it was around (meaning the foodstuff you're considering eating) thousands or just even hundreds of years ago (excepting any form of bread) you can have it in your diet. If it was "invented" within the last 60 or so years, leave it alone because you can bet your bottom dollar it will be bad for you !!!!
You have changed my life!! I am losing the weight, looking younger and feeling healthier than I ever have at 48 years old!!! You are such a God Send! Thank You So Much!❤
@@freedomofspeech4461 Thanks!! 😘 I do A LOT of prolonged fasting and strict, Clean Keto. It really has improved my skin and everyone who knows me tells me I'm looking younger. 😊
Healthy fats: extra virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, red palm oil (make sure it's responsibly sourced), ghee, grass fed butter, grass fed and organic meats, nuts and seeds (moderately as they have slightly more carbs), whole eggs (don't skip the yolks, those are the best part). Feel free to add anything I missed. FlavCity with Bobby Parish is a great resource as well. 😊
Healthy fats: chicken fat, goos fat, pork lard, beef lard, goat fat.... my great-grandparents lived on those fats and lived to be 99 and 103 without ever visiting a doctor.
@@Gesundheit888 true, beef and duck tallow are AWESOME! I make toothpaste for my doggies withduck tallow too. They are super healthy and have the prettiest teefies at the dog park too! 😊🧡
A well-presented lesson on how Keto works from the master himself! What a great video to recommend to everyone who asks me what changes I have done to my lifestyle! (I’ve lost 55kg = 120lbs, and trust me, everyone asks!!) Most who are as obese as I was, at BMI 40, pay little attention to the contents of the food they eat and do not even have the skills or interest to decrypt food labels. At this stage macros means nothing, as you or the signals from your body cannot tell the difference between healthy and unhealthy “food”. All that matters is to eat something that fills your belly when you feel hungry and you want it to taste good and be cheap! (because you are always hungry and want to eat a lot!). Exercise is just stressful; you risk injury if you over do it and going hungry is just torture! Low Carb “Dirty Keto” is a great introduction to a what you will experience from a healthy, “low insulin” diet and make you realise that your battle is not with fat, overeating or lack of exercise but with insulin resistance! Results are next to immediate! You truly do not get it until you feel the changes in your own body, which from thereon will the key motivator! Once your hormones and taste buds start working again, what you want and need, will naturally become different! You will feel great and be full of energy! Moving forward to healthy fats, whole foods and intermittent fasting is then something that will come naturally and will take things to another level!
I finally got mad enough at myself for yoyoing that I started intermittent fasting & combined it with OMAD. Been going strong for two weeks now & have lost 15 lbs, my clothes fit better too.
What Meat ? Pork , Chicken , Beef ? How do you know it’s : Grass Beef of Grain Beef ? Wher i live , it’s impossible to know this !!! If i’ll ask the seller of beef will laugh of me ! Will tell me what i want to hear ! What about colorectal cancer from high proteins and high fats ? Low fibers ( vegetables and fruits ) make colorectal cancer !!!
You're so thorough in your explanations that I feel almost as if I'm in a lecture. I have paper and pen and am taking notes, and I feel like if I watch enough of your videos I will somehow be eligible for some kind of degree or certificate.
Thank you robert curatolo for sharing your results. That is amazing. Keep it up until you reach your goal weight and then maintain optimal health for good.! 😄
Eating carnivore has been a total game changer for me. I'm 47 and I've been fasting about half the days of the month. I lost the same 5 pounds over and over. Also, my sleep was never great while fasting longer than 24 hours. I had about 25 pounds that crept up over the past 2 years and have felt like my body was no longer mine. My blood pressure sky rocketed and my blood sugar was in the pre-diabetic range. I felt hopeless until I heard about carnivore. I decided to try it and within 2 weeks I lost a pants size! I am now a month in and I am down 10 pounds! I'm not even exercising. My waist is so much smaller and I'm not bloated all the time. My arms even seem like they are getting firmer! I feel so good with this way of eating. I eat fatty hamburger, ribeye steaks, eggs and butter. Salt and pepper for seasoning. That is all. I can't believe the change in my stomach area....it has not been this flat in years!!!! I have had a few cravings and did have a day when I ate a few pieces of stevial sweetened chocolate and another day when I had a bowl of whipped cream... But I'm still losing!!! Just wanted to share. If I can do this, anyone can. Hard to believe I'm losing weight not eating vegetables, but I am!
I had much the same amd am also 47. After four months I've lost just over 50 lbs, although I was trying to heal my IBS. I find that fish makes a huge difference in my energy levels, must have eggs and beef makes me completely satiated. Doing intermitant fasting with the occassional couple of days thrown in depending on how I feel about it. Thinking about doing a longer fast soon, but working up to it. I was off my bp meds in two weeks! I could not believe it. Even my hair stopped falling out.
Wait until your hair starts to fall out and your insulin raise on all that red meat and problems with your hormones.. watch Stephanie keto utube videos on eating carnivore also keto mojo
Thank you for all your info. I was diagnosed with stage 2 diabetes at a A1C of 6.9. Four months ago I started keeping my carbs below 10 and started intermittent fasting and longer fasting like 3, 4,5 and 7 day fasting with OMAD. I’m down 80lbs and now my A1C is 4.7. I also started exercising the way you said to, thanks for your help.
@@scottheldibridle7325 What means carbs below 10 ? How did you lower your A1C from 6.9% to 4.7% ? How many months you need it to lover your A1C ? 4 months ? What you mean : 3 , 4 , 5 and 7 days fasting ? Without any food for 7 days ( just water ) ? Or One Meal a Day ( OMAD ) ? When you eat the OMAD ? By which hour have you eat OMAD ?
Don’t you wish you had teachers like this back in school. He definitely is a life changer if you can get The info stuck in your brain for your lifespan. Amazing
There is a saying: when you are ready to learn, you will find a teacher. I'm not saying the good doctor isn't very good; he is. But maybe many of your school teachers were also,, but you (we all) weren't ready for what they had to teach. Just a thought...
I only use cheap hydrogenated oil to lubricate my bicycle and tools. I never eat it. My go-to for cooking is avocado oil and for salad I use extra virgin olive oil.
I urge everyone to have their friends watch this video twice for understanding! This is one of the best explanations I have seen about the purpose of eating a low carb high, fat diet and clearly distinguishes which fats are healthy, which are unhealthy, and why. Valuable knowledge to improve the health of everyone!!!
Warning!!!! There are GOOD fats and BAD fats! These Dr’s are not releasing the warnings of BAD fats! They are promoting bad fats as if they don’t CLOG YOUR ARTERIES, they do!! While a high fat diet may be helping you lose weight, it is NOT heart healthy! The Atkins diet author, Dr Atkins died of HEART disease!!
I burnt myself out on keto and on IF...after 2 1/2 years, I felt so exhausted. Just started sleeping all the time. Finally trying the carnivore diet and it's brought me back to life! After only one day, I woke up refreshed, my chronic back pain was gone! No daily headache. I didn't have to struggle out of bed...my 'bad' knee seemed fine, too! I wd encourage anyone to try this for at least a day or 2. My friend had similar results...no more joint pain. My other friend 's a.m. blood sugar went from 400 to 140...that took 4 days. I'm avo-vore actually. I eat a small avocado with every meal. I'll add plant foods back one at a time to see which agree with me and which to avoid. Never going back to that back pain again!
, included avocados. Only about a week. Wd still recommend for anyone to try. In just 2-3 days, I realized wheat def' wasn't for me. Also found that dairy's OK for me. Ev'one's different. Good to check it out first hand! Also ditched coconut oil
I ate a yogurt and felt guilty. I wasn't happy or enjoyed it after the fact. That's how much of an impact this doctor has given me. I lost 25lb within 3 months. So happy. I can actually see myself getting rid of sugar and dairy little by little.
You can enjoy yogurt still if it's full fat, no added sugar, then add your own raspberry and or chia flax seed. Very yummy, found in one of his videos.
Thank you for more great content. For Christians, fasting has a double benefit. It is no coincidence we are called to fast and it has benefits for both our spiritual and physical health. I ask everyone to think about that for a moment. God is good! Have a blessed day! 🙂
Thanks. My vegan dr lectured me yesterday to only eat grains, fruit, veg. Last time i see him. I went in for eye infection. I've done great the last 2 yrs keto/carnivore
I really appreciate your clarity. Not everyone can teach well. You are excellent in communicating so that most folks can comprehend. This video finally clarified (no pun intended) WHY good fats are good and bad ones are bad. It also equips a person with what to look for on a label when grocery shopping so you don’t accidentally foods that may appear to be free of bad fats but actually still have them. Thus, you are very understandable as well as helpful in sharing vital information for weight loss and reducing inflammation in the body. Thank you for going into interesting and helpful detail so we can better understand HOW specific food choices impact outr bodies to either heal ir hurt. Best Wishes and keep up the excellent work!
Dr. Eckberg, I am so Grateful to you. I am on the journey, 460-385 in one year.. had some ups and down mistakes. But diligent. :) I usually have to watch your Vids several times and finally got myself notebook. Thank you,
The simplicity and clarity with which Dr. Eckberg explains complex matters is pure genius! He has a true gift for teaching that only someone who has a deep knowledge and understanding of a topic can have!
Both my grandparents lived well into their 70s and they did this by jumping instead of walking. They jumped everywhere they were. The grocery store, the computer store, the laundromat, the kitchen, the soccer stadium, the hallway, the medical clinic, the basement, the hardware store, the fire station, the recording studio, the pantry, the boat ramp, pretty much everywhere.
I added a vibration/oscillation plate to my workouts. It has 60 levels for vibrations and 60 for oscillations and each can be used by itself, thanks to two separate motors. I stand on it, sit on it, do pushups, squats, single leg squats, waist bends, crunches and isometrics by pausing at different positions throughout the exercises, and I swear my strength has improved very quickly. When I first started, I was sore for several days just doing simple movements. I read several articles that said the vibrations and oscillations work the muscles constantly, many times per second, even when you're just standing on it and keeping your balance. Well, they were right. After one month using it everyday for 30-60 minutes each day, the results were incredible. I purchased one named Bio Quake, which was around $200, weighs 45 lbs, and it is very sturdy. Some of the benefits are: weight loss, increased strength, improved circulation, reduced swelling, reduced joint swelling, draining of lymph fluid build-up, toning and building muscle, and improved flexibility. I never used one before, but I am a firm believer now. Combine that with Keto and it is a conditioning winner.
We grew up on Crisco and margarine. High bp and never weighed over 130, my heaviest ever. I'm 65 already had a small stroke. I think the fat went into my veins! Awake now, 2 weeks so far of keto and intermittent fasting! Better late than never!
Hi Dr. E, I just saw my doctor today and he is thrilled with my progress since going keto at his suggestion. I discussed my meds with him and told him I had been watching your's and Dr. Fung's channels. He said he thought your's and Dr. Fung's were two of the best channels to learn about diabetes and insulin resistance. I'm a long-time diabetic who's lastest (July 2020) A1C has dropped to 5.5. I was thrilled because I could never get below 6.1 even with lots of meds. Now I only take Jardiance and many days can even skip that. Hoping to be in the 4s at my next labs in January. Information I have learned from you and Dr. Fung has helped me achieve this goal. Thank you so very much.
Doing IF and keto for 3 years, lost 40 lbs. Last month, I started OMAD, because I was not able to lose weight anymore, and I still need to lose 30 lbs to get my regular expected weight. My waist started to shrink week by week, feeling great again! I eat at 7 P.M., and I consume various types of cheese, veggies, soup, salad (no tomatoes or things high in carbs) but with olive oil, and 2 handsful of pumpkin seeds everyday... counts about 1000-1200 calories. I am happy!
Dr. Ekberg, I thank you so much for helping me losing weight. For just a month I lose 8lbs. By just watching your informative videos that’s I watched I got it the proper way to lose my weight. You’re a selfless doctor and very generous sharing your talent for opening our minds that other doctors just want to put you into pharma. Again, thank you so much and please don’t get tired teaching us. God bless you and your family. God is good all the time. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Dr. Sten, your videos inspired me to start a low carb eating life-style. It started by replacing a meusli+milk breakfast with 2 eggs, then less and less bad carbs. At the moment I do low carbs, around 18:6 IS (skipping breakfast) and 1 x 24hour IS per week. I live in the Middle East, so I do not have access to all great quality products, but try to do what I can within budget. I do not specifically count carbs, proteins and fats but I try to keep to the 'formula' of high good fat, moderate goodu protein, lots of good veg + salads. I do only low key excercise at the moment, working towards more and more excercise, main focus is not to get injured. I am a 52year old man, 1.73m tall and initially weighed 83.5kgs. Today, 3months after the journey started, I achieved my initial target of -10kgs. It charged my life. I feel 100% better than before. I feel alive. Now the journey started to maintain the low carb eating life-style long. term. Thank you.
Dr. Sten Ekberg THANKS DR EKBERG, I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU, MAINLY YOUR PATIENCE IN ANSWERING ALMOST ALL THE COMMENTS, GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Dear Dr. Eckberg, on most levels I am in total agreement. The issue of organic and grass fed is where you loose me. When we look at grass fed who is checking to say it’s so. There is so much marketing in this area. Additionally, meat marked as American may very well be coming from South America, Canada, China etc. As long as it’s packaged here in the United States it can be labeled America. Unless one personally is purchasing directly from a farm and checks the feeding and process grass fed may just a way to up the price.
Thanksgiving: corn, rolls with margarine, stuffing , potatoes with margarine, corn bread, bean casserole with mushroom “cream sauce” And a little turkey with corn syrup sweetened cranberry sauce , Apple pie , ice cream , then a good nap. No wonder some of us wake up in the ER .
This will change how i am prep for the holiday dinner or dinners alone. The food and fat can heal or hurt us so what its gonna be??? Go cheap now and pay later or pay up now so later down the road it be a smooth sailing and transitions...
I just love Dr. Ekberg, straight forward intelligent information backed up by fact and education presented in such an easy way to understand. Thank you Dr. Ekberg.
Did anyone else spot the Gremlins reference at 13:22, you need to pause and move frame by frame to see it. Great video Doc, very clear explanations of what not to eat.
Me too and never hungry...but, lots of residual skin and fat hanging from upper arms and thighs...guess l waited to long to think of my health.. Don't think a 74yr old body can shrink skin any longer :(

Ok, how about lard ? It`s a forgotten food in the west, but central and eastern Europe still uses it - things like salo (unmelted pig lard, salted, sometimes smoked, eaten as a snack, with onion , garlic, bread), smalec - melted and stilled to a paste with graves, to smear on bread. Lard is also often used for frying, or to "grease" boiled buckwheat. Lard+groats, or lard+pea/beans was very popular medieval and renessaince food in central Europe. Often eaten with onion, garlic, and soured vegetables (cabbage, cucumbers, beetroots, etc)
TEAR INTO TO THIS DOCTORS VIDEOS.........tap his picture/tap videos, and DIG, DIG and DIG SOME MORE. He changed my whole outlook, understanding, plateaus, nutrition, and how I buy and eat at home. Wish We had videos and Doctors like this in the 60's, 70's and early 80's.
Great video Dr. Ekberg. Your teaching style is unique among all the excellent YT keto channels. It combines a very accessible framework of knowledge with practical examples. For so long we have been told by our doctors “just do this, or take this pill”. Part of the problem is the sad state of nutritional knowledge required of doctors and time constraints. Most med schools still don’t teach even the basics of nutrition. And much of the dietary industry is in the pocket of the large food corporations. I learned many years ago as a young engineer in manufacturing, you build quality in through good design, materials and processes. Our “sick care” industries are built to apply expensive bandaids to broken people following unscientific advice most often provided by the companies and industries that make huge profits “treating” chronic lifestyle diseases. Why would they ever want to change? It is up to the individuals to educate themselves, and their doctors. And to spread the message in a supportive non-judgmental fashion family and friends. I would love to hear more about how you got started on the path to studying medicine and nutrition.
Thank you HarvardBob. I was always interested in figuring out how to perform better. I quickly realized that medicine had nothing to offer in terms of improving function. Chiropractic was a hands on way to improve function immediately, but as I got into Chiropractic school, I soon got my eyes opened to how important mind and nutrition was in addition to structure. Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra were some of my early influences.😄
Great video! The last fat you mentioned, Saturated Fat, is currently my favorite. I mostly eat grass-fed lamb and beef fats (from local farm store). I buy them raw and cook them myself. My sand second favorites are regular grass-fed butter and Ghee (from local farm store). And then last come coconut and olive oils.
Thank you for your very informative and easy to comprehend videos. I binge watch everyday the past two weeks and have learned so much. I’m happy to share that I lost 5 lbs and I’m now fat adapted.
fantastic! based on your videos, I believe all those factories that make bad food and sell them as good stuff should be prosecuted! They are killers and they know it!
Dr. Ekberg, 👏 Bravo 👏, You are a born educator. You explain things so simplified and at the source of the problem. I totally, enjoy all your efforts and wisdom through your videos.
I wished my parents and my grand parents had this fundamental based knowledge. Thanks for sharing. I think we are one of the first generation who a responsible to grow with itand take it to the future.
Thank you Nakota Apache. This generation has more knowledge but also more challenges with more toxicity and worse food than ever before. We can't take health for granted anymore. The ones who learn and apply will be healthier than ever, 😀but the ones who just coast will be sicker than ever.😕

I’m so grateful to have found you, Dr. Ekberg. I’ve watched tons of other channels. Some are so full of misinformation and others don’t explain things completely and I’m left not having a complete understanding. Since watching your videos, I feel like I’ve come to understand my entire life, regarding health and how things, people, events have had such a negative impact on my health and even the ‘how’ it works in my body and mind. Thank you sir. I have finally been able to start turning my health around. You’re a true blessing.
I never originally planned to do Keto but intermittent fasting with a 90% whole food diet. After 2 weeks I’m stunned with my results 😳 Love how you provide so much information yet it’s easy to absorb.
I havent eaten marg for 50 years because I always felt that margarine was like plastic but in the years after WWII there was poverty in Holland and butter was very expensive. I have used olive oil and butter,
All the money I have spent on diets, plans, pills etc..little did I know it's here free! 😒🙄 I wish I would have known this 30 years ago. But I am on the road to the best yet now! Tks Dr.!
I made pizza with flaxmeal in the crust and my 89 year old mom did better with her memory the following morning. (You can make low carb pizza crust if you wish, but I did whole wheat in keep the insulin response reasonable for me. Keto dieters might want to use almond flour, chickpea flour, cauliflower, etc.) She won't eat fish anymore and usually turns down fish or algae oil EPA and DHA supplement. What is key for ALA conversion to EPA and then to DHA from the EPA is limiting omega 6 to a reasonable ratio to ALA. I do this by not consuming oil most of the time. Skip the oil and eat whole and minimally processed foods (could you make it at home?). I think flax seed chewed well or ground fresh is the ideal keto food. Purchased flaxmeal should be refrigerated after opening.
Because of this video I’m going to be reducing the 5 meals I eat a day to 4.. Mackerel for breakfast, chicken wings for dinner, steak for tea and a casein shake for supper.
Another excellent one, Dr. Ekberg...I know all these stuff already but still can't resist watching it all the way. You explain it very well in a layman's language.
I cringe whenever I walk past the cakes in my supermarket's bakery section. Not only do they use that Crisco based icing, but these days they put so much food-coloring in it that you can actually taste it. And there's often more icing than cake! Yuck!
@@rosemarycooper1572 I live in Germany and we've been to Austria many times, but I'm not tempted by any of the sweets there, or anywhere really. I gave up coffee last month though, and that's hard to pass up. My husband makes it every morning. 😭
Can you please make a video on why I’m having panic attacks on keto and IF. Also can you talk about preventing loose saggy skin whilst losing weight on keto.
Thank you Adam Khan. Not an easy one. All I can suggest is that you go slower in reducing the carbs and make sure you don't starve yourself. Anytime you change something your body has to adapt to the new situation.😄
Dr. Sten Ekberg. Thank you for your quick reply. I am consuming healthy fats and quality proteins, also very little carbs come from berries, nuts, avocados. My 4th week on keto and all of a sudden I am experiencing anxiety and panic. Maybe my body is stressed out and has to be adapt.
@@adamkhan402 if I may share from my own experience, when i started keto over 3 years ago, i used to get heart palpitations the first couple of months. Increasing my magnesium helped me a lot. Especially with muscle cramps & quality of sleep. I used to take 200mg twice per day (morning & at bedtime) Make sure you stick to the diet. Don't go in & out of ketosis. Your body needs time to detox & adapt. Usually after 2-3 months you'll be fully adapted & will feel totally energized. Also regarding the loose skin, weight training will help but depending on how long you were overweight, how much weight you lose & how fast, some loose skin is inevitable. But i've noticed over the past 3 years, my skin seems tighter overall. If the loose skin is around your belly, it may not fully disappear, but think of it as your "belt-of-glory" 😉💪
That's a job for a therapist, psychologist, seriously, no joke. Mine came back recently with all what's going on, I do keto and IF since November 2019, symptoms started 3 months ago.
I'm definitely interested in this but know so little about the subject. I need to talk to my doctor lets see what he has to say. I will keep you posted

“It’s not about not about how much fat you eat, it’s about how little carbs you eat!”
Thank you Doctor for clarifying that part for me!
Thank you Black Dranzer. You got it. That's what it takes to understand health and make long lasting changes.😄
10 minutes videos is majority of people favorite. He could talk about different fats about 15 minutes. Longer videos doesn't make them better.
@@MReza-nq3pd nah u can go away if u dont wanna watch this long videos for free.
For the new watchers:
Dr. Sten Ekberg's videos are a bit longer than some other similar channel's videos just because he is a great source who explains "Why?" and "How?" questions from the zero buttom, very clearly.
Plus, you don't understand how the time goes with full of information.

Thank you RTTGuy45. Excellent synopsis. Thanks for sharing.😄

70’s isn’t very old.
Better late then never? Nahh sounds like you started right on time :)
Wouter: down those 30 lbs now! No new blockage in arteries! Yay!

Well done Dr. Sten Ekberg. You are extraordinary. Thanks

I'm vegan and need guidance how to get that much protein w/o eating beans, which I assume you do not with such low carb macros. TY
Thank you so much Dr Ekberg for opening our eyes with evidence. How wrongly we have been taught through the years! Please keep teaching us.
I usually watch Dr Ekberg videos at 1.25 speed.. Seems to be the perfect speed...
Excellent video presentation. I really appreciate the fact that you take the time to explain your message fully and don't feel pressured into making sound-bite length videos.
Thank you Hedgewitch. I really appreciate your feedback and so glad that you liked it. The purpose of my channel is to explain things better than other channels and help people understand the principles. I spend so much time on it because when we get "the why" and the mechanism we become empowered for life . Comments like yours makes it all worthwhile. 😄
@@drekberg and that’s why I love you ❤️ I’m so glad I found this channel omg YOU ARE AMAZING ❤️❤️✨✨ I can’t stop playing your vids
Keto is the most flavorful “diet “ I’ve tried all kinds over the years. Keto I lost weight fast I wasn’t hungry and in two weeks I no longer had that 3:00 crash when I got so tired I couldn’t hardly drive home from work.
An outstanding presentation, Doctor! Thank you so much!
Could you also explain the benefits of sesame, groundnut and mustard oil? Also, how do they compare to olive and coconut oil?
i have been on a keto/carnivorish diet and switched to ultra high fat low protein. I dropped 10lbs in only 10days. a solid pound EVERY night 😱🤯😳 and i wasn´t very overweight... more than with waterfasting
I finally understand keto. I've watched so many useless videos compared to this. Thank you dr. Ekberg
Thank you Jose Ignacio. The many useless videos out there are one of my greatest motivations to make something better. I'm glad to hear you liked it.😄
When did Ekberg start keto as for 58 he looks decent but look at Lenny Kravits at 56 and look's awesome, he is supposedly vegan.
From singapore! Really love your channel! So informative and easy to understand :)

After 2 weeks I’m stunned with my results 😳
Love how you provide so much information yet it’s easy to absorb.
I havent eaten marg for 50 years because I always felt that margarine was like plastic but in the years after WWII there was poverty in Holland and butter was very expensive. I have used olive oil and butter,
30 minute consultaion that cost me nothing
All the money I have spent on diets, plans, pills etc..little did I know it's here free! 😒🙄 I wish I would have known this 30 years ago. But I am on the road to the best yet now! Tks Dr.!
BEST GUIDANCE! THANKS SO MUCH!
Can you make a whole video on how to do an entire whole body weight lifting session with rest times in between
Because of this video I’m going to be reducing the 5 meals I eat a day to 4..
Yuck!
Thank you elderwanda. I could never eat any of that stuff. Too artificial. I'm glad you realize what that stuff is.😄
And then you reach the candy aisles (plural)! So much health-destroying garbage. 😔
@@TerriblePerfection Donuts are the worst, but if you ever go to Austria their donuts are to die for, a real treat once or twice a year.
@@rosemarycooper1572 I live in Germany and we've been to Austria many times, but I'm not tempted by any of the sweets there, or anywhere really. I gave up coffee last month though, and that's hard to pass up. My husband makes it every morning. 😭
I cringe when I see my family eating breads and desserts. Can’t really engage in discussion, I think the best argument is my success.
You have made us health experts at no cost.
Thank you doctors.
Thank you for your clear, concise and informative videos. Will you please do a video on resistant starch? I appreciate you!
Just got schooled on what I thought I knew about my own diet - a year in. I am in a major plateau with my weight. I think that is about to end
I used to take 200mg twice per day (morning & at bedtime)
Make sure you stick to the diet.
@@EvaMariposa how did you feel during exercising ? Did you lift weights while on Keto ? I just started and I notice my energy level is low.
There can be as much as 10 times the trans fats in butter than in margarine. Butter: 4.8% - marg: 0.5%
Wow, he is too funny with that gremlin shot :) 13:22
I'm definitely interested in this but know so little about the subject. I need to talk to my doctor lets see what he has to say. I will keep you posted
