This whole album brings back so many memories of sitting or lying under many starlight Southern African skies. Very beautiful and emotional. Those were the best times o my life
To me, talisman is a sad song of death, and c'matin la (the next morning) this song is a happy rebirth. These two songs have been incredibly comforting to me and my family as we are losing one of our own.
Blissful music. This always calms my soul and often reminds me of my time in France 23 years ago. Feels like yesterday because this song takes me right back there. Thank you Air for Moon Safari. 💫✨💫
I can't really explain where it comes from, because I don't really think I had heard it before it came on in a cafe the other day, but this song gives me such an enormous sense of joy. It's like an intense sense of nostalgia for something that I cannot really remember. Like the soundtrack from a favorite movie that I have not yet actually watched. Like a concert that happened a summer long ago in a park somewhere, which I've heard great stories from but didn't attend myself. It's an abstract kind of feeling.
@@edkurkowski6561 I know, right? Are you sure the liner notes actually say that? Have you seen them by getting the physical album? I see that it says tuba on discogs and wikip. Could also be a translation error
God, that fucking book breaks my heart. And the movie was such an excellent adaptation, especially this scene. All the girls bathed in that golden light. Pure innocence....
I stumbled across Air around the age of 16 when I was beginning to find out what music I really enjoyed. I loved it. This album specifically is nostalgic to me. I could listen to this anytime any day. Its feel good music.
This song came to my mind when I woke up the night that the veterinary called me to tell me my cat had passed away. It has a feeling of gratitude and sadness.
i think the sixties were overrated. the only good thing that we got from back then was music. besides that, there was vietnam, a fucking drug epidemic, the start of urban decay and other shit like that. the hippies were rich kids who had nothing to do but smoke some shit. I used to like that time but now I think it was really stupid
John 14:27, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
10 minutes ago was the first time i heared this song and i love it, Moon Safari is a beautiful album, before i only listened Sexy Boy but Air come to my country soon and i need to hear the complete album and it was fantastic
Awesome! Thank you! I have Moon Safari as a very old CD (and all of your other albums on CD as well) but now both my CD player and my notebook with a DVD drive are broken so I can't listen to them anymore. I get "1 unavailable video is hidden" on that playlist in Germany though. Don't you own the rights to your own music?
I wokeup this afternoon and couldn’t find my Sophia, thus I shall search dream world after realm after realm to find her spirit. I think she got scared and is upset with what has happened in her life. I must find her I shall, I will not let her down for she is my past life lover. I felt so empty and sad inside, my love where did you go, thus wear the Samaria warrior suit again and take my sword to go on another quest to find her to show her I kept my word. No it’s not a dream these feelings I have for you are real, you need not run away but stay here with me in my arms where you are safe and free 55😘 Thursday 19 September 10:51pm at age 33 year 2024 ( here I go again battling in dream world to find my love ) but for her and only her it’s worth the fight. this women belongs to me as I belong to her. Unleash my soul, my everything. Sleep I sleep until I find her again 🎉
Lots of music has similar sounding riffs, but I don't think this is a rip off. I thought maybe you meant it sampled it, but it doesn't even play the same melody.
GODIN: This is the most childish song for us. It’s a reference to an old French TV show we used to watch when we were children, Barbapapa. We tried to do a cover of the theme in our high school band. It was a tribute to all the children’s TV shows we used to watch in the ’70s. It’s a very personal song for children who grew up in the ’70s watching TV.
Air's "Moon Safari" is the greatest album of the nineties. Period.
idk their virgin suïcides album might be better
I would dare to say, the best album EVER.
Nah Massive Attack's Mezzanine is better but it's easily top three
This whole album brings back so many memories of sitting or lying under many starlight Southern African skies.
Very beautiful and emotional.
Those were the best times o my life
One of the best songs all time imo
You’re the best song of all time
I've been looking for this song since the early 00s. I cried when the strings come in around the 50 second mark because I knew I'd finally found it.
godbless bro
That feeling 😁😁❤️
It’s just beautiful
Mir ging es genauso so🤪 bis heute🙏🙏🙏🙏
When the curtains close this will be playing at my funeral. It's just that beautiful.
Mine too

One of the best songs ever made. Look at this melody !
The best song from Air.

A strong contender, indeed
Blissful music.

This song gives you a 1970's After School Special background music nostalgia.

Wow, that's it exactly! Like from Midnight Cowboy soundtrack, I hear.
Perfectly stated. I can't think of another song that scratches that particular kind of itch.
That trombone is so good…
Why do the album credits say this is a tuba? Sounds too high pitched.
@@edkurkowski6561 I know, right? Are you sure the liner notes actually say that? Have you seen them by getting the physical album?

@@edkurkowski6561 I would definitely do this live with multiple trombone players to get the closest sound to the album
@@user-wl2xl5hm7k totally agree. Live last night in Seattle they played it on the synth.
One of my AIR's favourite tunes!
This Song has a magical sound. It feels as if it was in a dream I had a very long time ago.....a beautiful city of glass houses and friendly souls.
Simply amazing . 11/10 is the score for this magical tune.
"The trees like lungs filling with air
My sister, the mean one, pulling my hair."
God, that fucking book breaks my heart. And the movie was such an excellent adaptation, especially this scene. All the girls bathed in that golden light. Pure innocence....
this album save me for depression , all songs, all times, save me , thank you air, I make good sounds and us is my reference! thank you.
No,
Zank you.
it is a fantastic tune. I especially like it toward the end when the wah-wah guitar and the chorus join.

So much in love with this track (and the album), even after all these years. ❤️❤️❤️
Saw them last night in Austin. Cosmic, emotional, ethereal...everything!
В этой композиции прекрасно все. Обожаю.
It's been 20 years since I heard this song. I miss that time.
This song is so special. ❤

Curieusement ça me rappelle les musiques de films des westerns spaghetti d'Ennio Morricone
At 01:58 and onwards I visualize a character who for the first time sees the wondrous beauty of space.😊
If the question was, what song I think absolutely everyone should hear, this would be a strong contender. So beautiful
01:40 It reminds me French films from 60’s with Louis de Funes or Jean Marais
Crazy to see an official upload of this beautiful song happening so recently
Such a beautiful song ❤
This song came to my mind when I woke up the night that the veterinary called me to tell me my cat had passed away. It has a feeling of gratitude and sadness.
Sorry for your loss.
Magnifique, AIR juste parfait
I love that this song aesthetically sounds like it's from the '60s. Makes me nostalgic for a time that I wasn't part of.
It’s like the 60s without all the unbearable shite 😂

Wish you all the best, brother! :)
Around 0:43, you can start singing A-ha: "touch me.... how can it be?.... believe me.... the sun always shines on tv" 😊
This sounds so french. I close my eyes and see beggining or ending of any movie from Belmondo or Funes era.
pure love....................................💔❤🔥Angel wing love

Why do I discover bands like this when I'm in my 60s?
If summer was a song
In the air of today is tomorrows dust
make it a good one x
I remember bossa nova...when I was a kid and there was no problem. I now have many! but they don't exist, because that sound made me change
פלא גדול
This song was made in the past, for the future, using bits of its past, for the future to enjoy. Does that make any sense
Reminds me of my chilhood in the early 70's.
