What shows the test?
The test is to show how effectively engine oil protects the engine. Friction test, to simulate engine operation.
Metal components in the engine during operation (friction, eg pistons) can lead to scratches and scratches. The better quality oil, the better it should protect the engine, before they arise.
Each sample subjected to this test will certainly have some scratches. By measuring the sample, we will be able to check the depth of the groove.
How does the test run?
The new sample is subjected to metal friction under a 1kg load for 5 minutes. Then the sample diameter is measured at its lowest point. Each new sample has diameters of 2.92 from which the diameters of the sample to be tested. By subtracting both dimensions, we get a real measure of sample consumption. The result is lower the better.

In a motor the oil becomes hot, which adds weight to the oil film. I don't think this kind of wear occurs in a motor. Or you would need a rebuild between oil changes.
Nice. Can you test 10w-30 helix 7x? This is the one I used in the car of my sister Ford Everest 2.5L Automatic Diesel. How about Ultra Helix for Diesel is it safe to use when I change oil 80k miles? Whats the best oil i use everyttime I change oil? Ultra or Ordinary?
The oil in the engine works under the pressure of the oil pump, and the engine parts cannot come into contact with the oil pressure, but this test cannot be compared to the operation of the engine.

jeszcze musi być odpowiedniej lepkości, aby szybko rozprowadzić się po silniku i dotrzeć do hydro w jak najkrótszym czasie no i nie nadaje się np do HEMI

Questi test lasciano il tempo che trovano a mio avviso.Nel motore sono in gioco tanti altri fattori, uno su tutti, la temperatura di esercizio e la capacità dell' olio di non evaporare subito in condizioni estreme ed il raggiungimento di tutte le zone critiche che presenta un motore anche a regime di rotazione molto alti.

Y yo creía que el aceite mobil super s era mejor que Shell Helix Plus HX7, está comprobado que los aceites Shell Helix está hecho a base de gas natural ya que ese combustible genera menos fricción que la gasolina en los autos y ese aceite cumple su función al 99% por eso Ferrari prefiere Shell Helix

Im using this oil on my fiat punto, but now when i sow this test and results of other oils i am dissapointed, cant belive its average oil, and i taught its one best oils, and i sow a lot recommendations for this oil, but this result confusing me!? I think i will put fusch titan 10w40 next oil change... 🤔
Pozdrav, ovo ulje za punta ti je ok, mislim neće ti motoru bit ništa, bitno je da motor ima ulje makar bilo i prosječno. U alfu sam stavljao Seleniju, pokazala se odličnom, nakon toga, majstor stavio castrol 10w40 popilo je sve u par mjeseci. Sasvim slučajno našao Gulf 10w40 polusintetičko i je malo skuplje, za sad odlično. U punta mi sad bude išlo baš ovo ulje
@@Borna958 tek sad vidim komentar auuuu...bas pre neki dan sam sipao ovo ulje, samo sto je sad unapredjeno i dodati su neki flexi moleculs, koji navodno sprecavaju detonacije usled preranog zapaljenja smese u cilindru sto je cest slucaj u srb zbog loseg goriva, na ovom motoru...ja vec 3 god koristim shell tj odkad je auto kod mene, a pre toga u ch mu sipano agip ulje tako da, meni je shell ovaj najbolji izbor, i mnooogk dobro ispira naslage iz motora i cisti ga tako da moja preporuka takodje i pozdrav drug!

I don't have any info about your scooter, but please use Shell Advance AX7 10W40 or Advance Ultra 10W40. These two oils are safe for also wet clutches.

because i used to use motorcycle oils (4T) .... if you knew if car oils can do damage to my scooter engine please tell me
It's depends on engine and kind of scooter. In your scooter - if you have 150cc from shell you can use: Helix Ultra 5W-40 (car oil) or Advance 4T Ultra 10W-40 (SN/MA2).

Z drugiej strony to niemiarodajne testy, w silniku zupełnie inaczej wszystko pracuje.

O resultado de 0,12 pode ser considerado um bom resultado, mas há muitos óleos de motor com resultados muito melhores. Deve ter em conta que este óleo é muito barato.

yes. cuz this test is not at 100°+. so the 15w protect more than the 10w at low temperature. plus mineral oil is more thick and is better for example when your engine burn oil. The problem with mineral oil is that it lose his lubrication property very quickly.

Non mi sembra normale bagnare con olio solo una volta. Per 5 minuti. Certo ke si consuma . Almeno. Ogni minuto. Dentro il motore. E sempre bagnato d'olio.

Would you recommend this oil for a toyota 2az fe engine. Which burns oil due to the rings. Common fault.
Currently using lucas oil 10-40 which has slowed down the burning.

Yeah, no. This would have to be THE most inaccurate way to test fritction properties of engine oil.

I WAS going to use this in my high mileage MK 6 Toyota Celica that has done 167,000 Miles (269,000 KM)
It would make the engine wear out QUICKER using this oil... I will stick to 5W-40 Gulf Formular GX that I am using next time I do an oil change..
