      It's populistic. Real fans don't want it. Everytime Bartomeu is in trouble he buys a new player to shut the fans up. Real fans prefer playing with Ansu and Perez rather than Neymar. Yet if you made a poll, most "fans" would deem €300M appropriate for Neymar.

      In the past yes, but they no longer give young players a chance anywhere like they used to. It's sad how money & modern football has made them stop with their traditions of giving La Masia products a chance in the first team regularly but then again Barcelona are the posterchild of modern football. And before anyone tries to say 'what about Fati' yea well done, 1 example in the past 4 years. Barca are in the era of pissing 30 million on a squad player up the wall instead of promoting youth in the same position unfortunately

    McManaman, Fowler, Owen, Carragher and Gerrard all essentially came through their youth system in the space of a few years. Obviously they didn’t have the same success but the level of talent that came out together is amazing and worth highlighting.

    However, and this is totally off topic, I was wondering how is it possible that you guys have done over 20 videos about Barcelona FC's history and not 1 is about that brazilian player that resurrected the club from turmoil and unsuccesful results in the early 2000s, of course I am talking about the great Ronaldinho. Football is one of the few reasons I want the economy to go in recession, there is to much money in football and people who don't have football in their agenda are making decisions its like South Africa there is no pride in representing yourself cause if you do that you bolster the collective now football has been so overwhelmed with commercial objectives frankly I wonder if Alex Ferguson could have survived in this Era of no accountability

    What's happened to La Masia since, though? With Barcelona being as active in the international transfer market as any other big club, one surely must question La Masia's recent efficacy.

      Recently may rooms meant to house players have been turned to offices. New coaches who never had any prior association with Barca are in charge. And they no longer have any nutritional standards

    • @ObobWobob
      @ObobWobob 7 месяцев назад

      You can't rely on teenagers they take some time to mature. Personally I think they should focus on la masia and transfers as supplimentary. And they should use experienced players for cheap transfers during the transition period of the older and newer la masia generations

    1. Great great great video, thanks!
    2. Could you please please write out some of the names of the people you're showing in your videos? Not necessarily everybody, of course, since the likes of Messi and Iniesta should be recognized by the drawings, but some of the lesser known people.
    3. One minor correction (I think): Fabregas didn't return to Barcelona before the summer of 2011, so he wasn't actually able to contribute to the two Champions League titles. Ironically, he left in 2014 (which I still truly regret), so he missed the 2015 title as well.

    To you poor souls who have faulty memory, I am talking about one game in which this occurred. The fact that it happened says a lot about the direction Barça has been moving in recent years, and I clearly overestimated the intelligence of youtube comments when I thought that was obviously what I was implying.
