Thank you for sharing this. I got my Sentro 48 for my birthday in August. Haven't done anything yet. 😢 Trying to find the right yarn for the 22 needle was not good. I really like the cupcakes ladies but the Caron is too soft and will not stand. I am not sure what to use. All the other yarns I purchased did not work. It has made me nervous for the 48 needle. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and time to encourage us in this craft.
My first one was this sentro 48 and when I bought the 40 I realized it doesn't like some of the yarn that the 48 did. I'm not sure if the needles are closer to each other but they are definitely different I think the 48 is much better 😉
I decided to clean my Sentro after having it for 3 months. There was nothong wrong, but I thought I should. I followed another video. It worked fine the first few rows of knitting, but then suddenly made cracking sounds ad then I couldn,t crank it at all. I should not have taken it apart!
I know it's true they are never the same machine after you open. Take a look at the bottom screws and see if the top is properly attached to the bottom, sometimes that screws don't go all the way and leave space for the internal gears to move. And sometimes the too parts on top of the needles move as well, I actually glued both and that made it easier to turn the machine and do the bottom screws.
Hi Ann someone contacted Addi and they said not to open, but if its too noisy I think this grease I used works really well after everything I tried and read about it I think is the best option, but don't open if its working fine 😉
Is WD-40 all right to use? I have the Handy Pen which would be great on the needles but although they say it is all right on plastic, I want to be sure.
@@Creativeyarn Hi lady, first big respect for this video so now I am not afraid to take mine apart,It's really nice video. From my mechanical experience avoid WD-40 it might be bad for the plastic rather use an air compressor or just a wet towel to clean up the parts. After use lithium grease or silicone grease don't put it everywhere just on the parts with high friction. Regards.
Hi Cindy, yes I do treat them like babies, I have 3 now LOL... this days I only put White lithium grease and it works perfect plus it lasts longer then the other products 😉
Uufff I freaked when all of the pins fell out. That looks way over my head, and WD 40 makes me super sick. I've been thinking about pouring olive oil in it. Idk, It could work?¿? ♥
Lol... I did freak out first time they fell too. I'm not sure about olive oil, machine oil didn't work for me, it has to be something like grease that stays and doesn't melt
I know some of them come noisy from the start, mine didn't but the noises started 3 months after using, if you can't return I would try to open and grease it again like I did
You didn't see anything wrong inside? I think the noise comes from the black part rubbing the bottom and also the pegs, some of my pegs are more noisy then others for some reason

Merci et bienvenue sur ma chaîne ;)
Thank you so much for posting how to clean the machine! My 22 pin sounds horrible and I think that cleaning it will really help.
Yes it does help a lot try and use white lithium grease I found it was the best option for mine
This was really awesome. Have not decided yet😁which machine I will get. But this is helpful 👍

Thank you for sharing your video, I'll give mine a good clean and see how it goes. Cheers from Australia!
Thank you for watching I found out that lithium grease works best for this machines :) hope that helps
@@Creativeyarn thank you for a reply yes it does, I'll look for some today. Cheers from Australia!
WOW the rag shows just how much you out of it!
My goodness! I would be too scared to even try to pull it apart, in case I can’t put it back together! 🤣😂🤣
I was too first time but then it's easier after 🤗 but I always love to take toys apart when i was a kid 🤣
I have done that with my ADDI but I came up withe idea of taking a pic of each step so I would remember how to reassemble
Good idea, I put each part in a sequence, that helps as well
Hello, I like your videos and I like your beaded bracelets,do you make them?
Funny more people commented about them, a friend gave me because they were too small for her and since then I wear them everyday 😊
I just found this, thanks for this. Is it still working well...looking to do my machine?
Your welcome Tracy, mine is working well just grease it every now and then

Screwdriver I used. Works: "Phillips Size: #0; Shaft Size: 75 x 3mm / 3 Inch x 0.12 Inch (L*D)"
Exactly right thank you 😉

You're welcome Diane, I just cleaned mine too 😅

Hi can you tell me how these two products worked out. As I can’t find your update how they worked out.
I did like the dry spray but not the wd 40, it was grinding again after only a few days, the best product I used was the lithium grease
Thank you for sharing this. Is the Addi construction the same as the Sentro? Ann from Va.
Hi Ann someone contacted Addi and they said not to open, but if its too noisy I think this grease I used works really well after everything I tried and read about it I think is the best option, but don't open if its working fine 😉

Hi I tried wd40 but I think white lithium grease is better for the gears, with wd 40 I had to open again after 2 weeks because it was noisy again

@FactsAvenue-vi2wq thank you I'll keep that in mind
Do you recommend putting the sili one on the machine when first assembled?
Hi Cindy, yes I do treat them like babies, I have 3 now LOL... this days I only put White lithium grease and it works perfect plus it lasts longer then the other products 😉
👏🏻👏🏻🤩💯🏆😍🎉💐
Awesome video!!
Great instructions & advise!
Thank you soooo much!!
💕🤗💕
You're welcome I'm glad its helpful 🙏
thank you
fabiana. Eu fiz mais de 200 beannies e agora nada funciona
Tah na hora de abrir ela então e colocar uma graxa 😊👌
Thank you so much for sharing this information! :)
You're welcome Debbie, I'm looking for anything that can stop the noise the machines make :) So far the grease worked well!
Thank you so much!
You're welcome :)
Would it be easier to put the grease on a paint brush and spread it that way?
I think it might work as well 😉
What kind of yarn do you recommend?
Hi Cindy I recommend DK yarn or any yarn that has 100 gr and at least 200 m, they are the best to work with!
Uufff I freaked when all of the pins fell out. That looks way over my head, and WD 40 makes me super sick. I've been thinking about pouring olive oil in it. Idk, It could work?¿? ♥

As long as it is for Plastic.
My doesn’t work… it’s hard to spin with any yarn and always drop stitches
I know some of them come noisy from the start, mine didn't but the noises started 3 months after using, if you can't return I would try to open and grease it again like I did
@@Creativeyarn darn I did open and grease it but it’s still the same. I’m always jealous seeing how easy you handle yours lol
You didn't see anything wrong inside? I think the noise comes from the black part rubbing the bottom and also the pegs, some of my pegs are more noisy then others for some reason
Do you use both of the lube? Or one or the other
I used the silicone spray first but that wasn't really good I think this machine need grease or lube, so I think any lube made of silicone should work
приветь спасиба за инфармацию👍👍👍
🙏🙏
No,pongan en español
Yo no hablo espanhol 🙄
So, you treat your machine like a baby. Which it is to most of us.
What are the name of the products you used please? Have you tried on the Addi?
oi Carla white lithium grease ou graxa de silicone eh o melhor produto que eu usei, e olha que experimentei de tudo ja... rs
