I just bought the Sentro 22 and it arrived yesterday. Last night I made 2 beanies and right away it was grinding and sticking and wouldn't work with Super Saver. Today I made 3 tiny pumpkins and tried the Super Saver again and it stopped dead. It works for lightweight yarn but it is not smooth. I don't know why they keep selling it with the gear the way it is; why don't they just fix it and charge a few dollars extra? It really bothers me that I'll have to order parts to fix a brand new machine if I want to use Super Saver, but I am glad that this exists. I am very bad at putting things together. I see this video is a year old now; did the guy who made the parts start to include directions yet? Thank you so much for this.
@@craftykat oh I’m so sad to hear that it wasn’t working right out of the box. That is so frustrating. Grumpy head didn’t include any instructions. Personally if I bought it off Amazon I would send it back for a replacement or refund and look for a used Addi Express Professional 22 needle.
There is a shaft, I just took mine apart, and the end of the shaft is square and was not placed in the gear at all, nice a tight now........and I'm thankful for this video so I can put mine back together LOL...........dam needles LOL thank you
Hello! I bought a 48 pin sentro knitting machine a few months ago and it keeps grinding and clicking. My little brother has a 3-d printer so we printed a new gear for the handle but it still clicks… I’ve watched multiple videos and I’m starting to get kinda mad.. what should I do? I’ve also taken it apart multiple times. Any suggestions?
FYI, I used a flat head screw driver to remove the screw in the handle. It is made where you can use the Philips head or flat head. The philips head seems like it was already worn so not sure if that happened in the factory or what but use the flat head, jjust got to wiggle it a little to find the grooves.. And you do not have to turn it a lot because all it is attached to is the small little nut
I just installed this on my son's 22 pin and I'll let you know the grumpy head updated the tightening collar again. It's still really easy to install and it's already cranking beautifully!😊
Hi there, I just went to the grumpy head web site and couldn’t find replacement parts for my Sentro machine - 22 and 48. Can you help? My machines are already broken and I’ve only had them for a few weeks. I even have a broken needle on my 48.
I looks like he is moving to a new website to sell the parts when his Etsy store inventory is cleared. Here’s the new website address: www.grumpyheaddesigns.com I’m not affiliated with this company- I just bought and fixed my machine- 😀 His Etsy shop is www.etsy.com/shop/GrumpyHeadDesigns
So yea that is what I was thinking. I just watched a video and they did not install it. I am thinking ppl are spending money on parts when they just need to move the tapper gear forward with a shim to contact the gears on the rings. JAT@@StephanieBCreativity
I do not have one of those machines to take apart but I have understanding of how it is supposed to work. Since this is a toy they are not going to remold it it with tolerance @@StephanieBCreativity
Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. I did lube the needles with white lithium grease spray when it was all disassembled. I forgot to record it for the video.
you can put the gear on while its apart...........jesus...........why didn't you show us how you actually put the hooks in?? O yeah you put 3 in and then suddenly their all in wow..........
After showing how to slot in 3 of the needles I figured most folks would want to skip ahead to see the rest of the process. Sorry if you could that not as helpful.
The ring is part of the package with the gear. I didn’t expect the ring when I received the package. The ring has been upgraded and now is a split piece.
I couldn't even get the handle off😢. Anxiety watching you take it apart. You are brave❤
Thank you for watching! Anything is possible when you take your time and work methodically.

Wonderful! I appreciate the updates that Grumpy keeps doing.
How long did it take grumpy head to send it and or respond?
Hope he comes out with a kit for the 48 Sentro cause mine sucks. Thanks for this.💖💖🙏🙏💖💖
He does have a some for the 48 needle Sentro! www.etsy.com/listing/1413348924/ I haven’t got one yet as my big Sentro is still working great for me.
@@StephanieBCreativity Thank you I will check it out.
OMG I need your counter rofl😂 thanks for the tutorial!
Lol! It was my first upgrade! Row counter is listed in the description. Thank you so much for watching!
can you tell me where I can get a gasket ring for the sentro 22
Can you tell us about how you have the counter set up on this Sentro. Really appreciated this change of gear video
The counter was really easy- check the description for a link to the counter. I used the Clear Nanotape to such the magnet and the sensor.
can you let me know where I can get a gasket ring for the sentro 22

Tell me where can I buy a knitting masjine like this???
There’s links in the video description! Thank for watching
I think I just get a new machine LOL. I would be so frustrated .
That works too!
I looked at site but didn't your packaging. Is there a number
Hi it is the gear replacement kit for the Sentro Rabbit knitting machine.
What is the black ring for?
The black ring is a shim that helps keep proper pressure on the top ri g that holds the needle guides

My replacement gear only lasted a little while and now it's back to the same issues again. :(
Oh no! Mine is still going strong- was it from the same Etsy seller that I used? If so message him and find out what he thinks is the issue.
What is their phone number or ordering address ? Plus, what is the part number ?
Couldn't even get the handle off. 😢
Oh no! I hope you get it figured out- thanks for watching
You should have lubed the needles/pins while you had it apart.
Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. I did lube the needles with white lithium grease spray when it was all disassembled. I forgot to record it for the video.
Can you tell me how to Grease the pins please? What part I guess?

I looked up that replacement gear at grumpy head on etsy and never saw the black round thing that comes in two pieces. So what am I missing?
The ring is part of the package with the gear. I didn’t expect the ring when I received the package.
The ring has been upgraded and now is a split piece.
After watching this my thoughts are maybe you didn't need the new crank gear but only the extra black ring ?
That is a possibility- though replacing both parts certainly fixed the skipping and grinding. Thanks for watching!!
