Luds tournament is 1 tournament dude. Acola has outplaced Leo at 2/3 of their common tournaments. He also outplaced Spargo and tweek at 3/4 of their common tournaments. He's #1.
Tweek when he gets it going is crazy, but Leo is just the most consistently good

I think Mkleo isn't that hungry for wins anymore. I mean he still plays insanely good but his prime was 2021. But he kept winning. Tweek and spargoat still have that spirit since the want to be the best in this smash game. Leo just did it all. He won majors left and right. He said once "now im serious" and only dropped one game not a long time ago.

@@WhoIsRah im gonna be honest, for how long he's used him his byleth is just as "serious" of a character as his joker, if not even moreso for all but a few matchups like min-min. Joker is the better tier list character but byleth is the more "leo character" so in matchups where they don't have a large difference in performance on paper (which is most of them) byleth just feels like a better pick for leo.

Leo is still the best simple as that. Consistent as hell and when it comes to the biggest tournaments he always seems to be at the top. Everyone has their off days but Leo's are very few and far between.

Tweek has now officially bodied all three of Leo's characters
Which doesn't automatically make Tweek the better player. Such as Tweek vs. Goblin. Tweek has never once beat Goblin. The game count is really on Goblins' side, too, like it's actually not close. But nobody would ever say that Goblin is better than Tweek. This also means that Tweeks' recent wins over Leo don't dictate much of anything.
@@Contrary22 they dictate how far Leo makes it. If he didn't run into Tweek he probably would have gotten to Winner's Finals for at least 3rd instead of losing to Sonix for 4th. Having a bracket demon is bad either way

What's the point in Leo winning so many majors for so long if it takes one win for Tweek to be considered the new best? Happened after Summit 3, happening now. The bar is so high for Leo and in hell for everyone else, for some reason.

The bar is “not in hell for everyone”, you would see if you looked at the results that stats wise multiple people are doing better than leo right now ESPECIALLY sparg0 who has taken no bad losses all year and had a lowest placing of 7th all year once. Tweek himself is probably not going to get to the number one level and Leo will comeback stronger, but there’s obvious reasons why people think Leo’s #1 position is shaky right now (he is obviously #1 of all time though). And Marss title is clearly joking, he even said in the video he always bets on Leo winning

MkLeo is more consistent and has better mental. But tween at his best is the goat
Tweek's mental has gotten significantly better, which was probably his biggest barrier to consistently performing like the best.

there was a period of time when mkleo was 100% the best which i think is incredibly impressive and close to impossible to achieve. he might not be undisputed anymore, but he’s still in the running along with a lot of insanely talented players. i don’t think there is a best player right now, meaning if the top players had a tournament you couldn’t really count anyone out. tweek is crazy locked in right now but he’s still got a way to go before he can be called the undisputed best player. mkleo is the goat cuz hes had that status before, but if tweek keeps it up he can easily join the goat convo

What makes Leo great is consitancy. Who else is as consistent as Leo? Teek is good, but results wise, he isn't very consistent. He is definitely on a hot streak, but winning 2 tourneys doesn't make him #1. Imo.
