This was the first video I ever saw from her two years ago MIND FREAKIN BLOWN!! As others said this was from the Oscar Nominated Movie Yentl. Directed and starring Barbara Streisand. In fact the composer from Yentl Michel Legrand who worked with Barbara also worked with Regine on an amazing concert. He felt she was every bit a great as Barbara. He recently passed away as in a few days ago. Regine was one of his favorites. I remember the vocal collab video with Morissette and the vocal comparisons to Mariah, where Regine was being hailed as keeping her own style. THIS is where Regine sounds like and channels Barbara. Youll notice as you see more performances where she isn't doing Streisand, her vibrato is not as narrow and (Streisand like) and her vowels are less "Striesand like". Definitely have to do my favorite "What Kind of Fool Am I" she literally brought me to TEARS at one point with that one. The one in particular I'm referring to shes sitting with a red dress! Welcome to the world of Regine!
In addition to Regine and Barbra, Michel Legrand also collaborated with Sarah "The Divine One", which means, with the (except Whitney) greatest female singers in the non classical area. Therefore, there is hardly anyone who can better classify the LIVE qualities of a songstress in this field of music. And after listening to pretty much all the studio recordings of Barbra, Sarah and Regine in the best in Europe available quality, I can only agree with his valuation.

At last. I really wanted my fave reactors to do a reaction on this rendition of Regine. Others have already done it but you can easily see that their reactions aren't genuine. They clearly do that to attract viewers and put their 'shocked' image as their thumbnail. Whenever I encounter such reactors, I simply close it immediately and will never watch any of their videos ever again. I am subscribed to at least 5 channels including yours. Only a handful of RUclips reactors catch my attention. Shout out to Dan, Ms Rebecca, and Ovela.

It's not mixed voice. That's her full chest voice hiting F#5. She can do full chest voice with ease at G5. Regine in her prime has a thin voice timbre sweet and feminine and that's why some reactors think she used mixed voice. She has her own version of Let It Go. She's 48 she can still sing this but with a rounder voice and obviously not effortless anymore especially if she has her acid reflux attack.

That is the caliber of Regine, none from today's singers in the Philippines can match that, and they don't dare, do or copy that song the way Regine sang that song. This performance was a long time ago. None of them today will ever come close to Regine during her prime.

Agree and one thing about Regine that makes her so REGAL is her TONE and she NEVER DO EXHIBITIONS!!! She makes sure her belting and runs and riffs is IN-SYNC with the song! Not just for the heck of showing off! Love that about her.... ARTIST at its best! Btw --- I don't think Charice needs to compete with her because she has high respects for the QUEEN and her voice is totally diff from Regz! But i say --- singers of today are soooo lucky that Regine has already semi-retired at her age and that Charice has transformed. Otherwise ---- they will have a HUGE problem! Lolz!!!!
