When i was younger i was heavy bullied in school for many years. Speaking up for myself?No way! I was always fat and fat shamed all my life.. My mother was a drinker and life was a struggle all my life. I worked as a waiter,bartender,in shops etc.while i studied. Terrible times. I had no self confidence,no self esteem.
I got a pre-record deal by universal and got dropped. I lost almost 10 years of music history. Music i could never use again.I was broken and felt into a depression.
I became a teacher in 2011 and it l saved my life. Literally it saved my life.It was the best choice i could ever make in my life!
I saw myself in my students,struggling with the same problems,confronted with life and feeling like i felt.
I saw the hope in their eyes,the feeling of being understood and how i could help changing their life.
I saw the passion for the arts,i saw their passion for growing.
I dedicated my life for people to never feel how i felt.
My Mission is helping people to use their voice as a weapon!

What is your profession? ➡I am a professional studied singer,actress ,Vocal and Drama teacher🎤🎤🎹🎼
I studied in Germany and worked for :stage school,stage coach,On Stage,Universal music etc. as a Vocal and Theater Coach some of my Students went into the THE voice Kids show etc.

This was her PRIME. 2000-2005. She was offered many times to do broadway or musicals that she refused to take as she didnt really see herself a cut in that industry. She sees herself more in POP as she is very experimental. Anyways during her glory days she was unparalleled and nobody was in the same level as her. Every artist in the Philippines respects and bows to her as the queen.
Regine Velasquez is the Asia's songbird, the best selling female artist of all time and the greates asian living singer. She has influenced new generation singers like Sarah, Morisette, Julie Anne, etc. She is the prime queen of Philippine Original Music.

Regine won first place in "Asian song festival", I think she was just 17 18 years old. They call her "Asia's song bird". She sings different songs, not only broadway style. I like her singing "wings of love".
Just a correction. Its Asia-Pacific Singing Competition wayback 1989.
Regine did not pursue the world stage unlike Lea Salonga. Rather, she stay in the Philippines and became the country's leading diva. Today, she rarely stages a concert but once she does, it is epic, she hosts her own cooking and musical show in a local TV network (GMA Network). Despite her unpopularity in other parts of the world, she is very known to every Filipino and her songs has been sung since 90's.
She is in AbS CBN now.

Hello Coach. As a member of an orchestra for several years now, I am still amazed by the quality of talents Filipinos have. 7 out of 10 Filipinos can sing and most of them have not undergone any formal training in music or singing. They just discover their techniques, the range of their voices and breathing, all by themselves. Plus they only learn to read notes later and why I interviewed some of them, I asked them what made them sing so well, the common answer was PASSION and LOVE for the craft. I love the way you give your technical analysis and very objective comments. Keep up the excellent work!

It's too bad that it's an old video because the quality doesn't do Regine's voice justice. She sounds so much better listened to live. That's why her concerts are always sold out fast.

Regine's international time was in the 90's - 20's During her prime she can easily sing with the great singers and is/could have be known together with them around the world as a house hold name. She dedicated her career singing in the Philippines. She is still going strong with 30 years in the music industry.

Yes you are correct that some words are not necessarily suppose to be nasalised but for the expression of the song it is not a bad thing not all people have a pitch perfect ear. For broadway musicals it is necessary to speak or sing clear that is where those exercises and vocal drills comes in

Her dad taught her how to sing. When she was a little girl, her dad asks her to sing while while submerged in the sea from neck down. They dont have money but her father recognized her talent and did his best to teach her.

Thank you for reacting to this master piece. Just to let you know, she had an offer to pursue her career to Hollywood, however, her father told her it'll be enough in Asia because her father knew what's going on in Hollywood.
Since she had high respect to her father, may he rest in peace, she followed him and she didn't regret at all.
She's the best selling artist of all time in the Philippines and is well-known in Asia. She's 49 and until now, she's the undefeated queen. 😊
