They're smart, they're passionate about what they do, and you can tell they're open-minded and curious. I guess that's why their answers are thoughtful and not just blah blah. These are two remarkable young ladies.
I was lucky to hurt my back last week hauling log splitter and wood. I’m couch potato since and discovered you, Hovak and Ellen. I love your site. I watch many half hour clips everyday. Makes my day. I play piano all my life since 7. Now 78 and you are such a Joy to watch and listen to - the Q&A and bass lessons and life lessons. All the best you all!!!
So cool to see these two and pops chatting away. They're brilliant musicians and very interesting human beings. I feel like you could ask Charlotte anything and have a 2 hour conversation if you both wanted to.
I would say that these two, fellow musicians and collaborators, friends and family have already made this world a better place. It has certainly lifted my spirits watching them all perform and play so well and so joyfully. Love and best wishes to all. Be well.
I’ve loved watching Ellen and her Dad with their amazing relationship and her fearlessness and hunger to play. Charlotte is equally amazing. She shreds on guitar and is so poised and we’ll spoken. Kudos to some amazing parents!
Algos are reading My mind. I was just thinking of how long it's been since the last I saw of Ellen. I could see Her face; I forgot Her name. This is a good day for All.
Ellen giving away Hovak's age, was so funny. We also had to play the Recorder back in the 60's when I was in Grade School. Ours were just a basic black plastic recorder. Our parents had to buy them for us. They did not cost much, because all schools were doing this, and there were probably millions of them being made. Definitely could spot the kids that were tone-deaf. I eventually worked my way into playing the Coronet in Grade School and High School. Hopefully we can hear these two young ladies play some music together someday.
That was an awesome Q&A, I loved everyone's candor and honesty. Yes, if we could all just be nice and accepting that would go a long way, and if everyone were made to like at least five Beatles songs that would be the icing on the cake!
I just now ran across some videos of Charlotte from age 12. What an amazing talent. I have also ran across videos of the nine yearl old boy and his band. I have to admit the kids who make up your band are incredible. Wow! So much talent!
It's always nice to hear from our favorite musicians !! I'm glad the Little Whippersnapper Ellen put Hovac in her list. I think so too ! I could live on coffee alone. And Ellen, they still won't let me fly by myself, I HAVE TO USE A PLANE LOL😅
Though she is a young child, there's a very old Bass player somewhere inside :) I played in my bands for 30+ years out there and I would have been proud for her to play with us. :) Dad, you did VERY good! :) - Herb
"...why would I pay you $6.00 for homework? " That made me actually laugh out loud... I'm an elementary school teacher who has seen the recorder playing for 31 years now!! I love that question about being an adult. It shows the difference between the thinking at the girls' ages. Both are interesting. Charlotte is a very mature, well-spoken teen. Two wonderful kiddos. Adults should ask kids more questions.....
The second chorus of the intro to Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven had recorder recorded in the intro. Don’t be ashamed to overdub unusual different instruments in certain songs as it has worked well in certain Classic Rock songs.
As a bass player / guitarist, I’m so blown away by the love and passion for music but more importantly your instruments of choice. You are the future. Keeping it alive❤️❤️
Hi Ellen and Hovak, hope all is good and well with you both, it's been a while since you last posted a video here, great to see you back!! Being as I'm from Liverpool, UK, the home of The Beatles, it's great to hear and feel your love for that legendary band!! I don't know if you've ever been to Liverpool, but I know the two of you would love it here!! For true Beatles fans like yourselves, there is just so much to see here that is Beatles related and I really believe you would absolutely trip on visits to the houses in which John and Paul grew up, amongst all the other places to see and visit!! Keep up the great work you two, whenever I'm feeling down I always watch your videos because your enthusiasm, musical passion and spirit is so uplifting and intoxicating to watch!! Take care and like myself and my fellow fans of Liverpool FC say, our local football team (Whoops, I should probably say Soccer team for you!!) "You'll NEVER Walk Alone!!" All my love and support to you, Andre!! xxxx PS. Sorry Ellen, I love watching movies, after music, it's probably my second favourite thing to do, but I absolutely hate Avatar!! I really thought you'd have said School Of Rock was your favourite movie, now that is a brilliant film!! Keep doing what you do angel, I'm a long standing keyboard player myself and I am absolutely in awe of yours and your dad's talents!!
Just amazingly adorable watching these intelligent girls! Big kudos to Daddy who is doing so much inspiring and important activities which develop those amazing abilities. These girls will become big names in no time. "What would I wish out of this video?" That Paul McCartney would be able to spend an afternoon in a studio with these girls! Ask for an invite and fly them to London! If James Corden can do Carpool taxi with Paul, which is by far the best one and my favorite - I wish Paul would spend the time with these young fans who are 60 years younger!
Omg shes gonna be a superstar!! Her dad is such a great mentor. Being a gifted psychic, all I can see of him is suuuuuuuuuuuuper incredible. He past the test of being super dad...
Charlotte is very smart and calm to answer questions. She is very mature, I didn't know of her. Great to see new talents especially at such young age. Ellen is just so adorable and sweet. And very smart to answer as well. But one thing I'd like to know is, what other activities do they do? Because it looks like it's music all day, which is great for their growth, but do they do other silly activities like playing with a dog, biking, play with dolls, watch TV, things like that?
John Lennon ? So far before their time. I grew up with the Beatles, I was 17 when the album Help came out and went to see it in Doncaster, where I was training to be a gunner in the Tank Regiment. The Beatles are IMHO the best band ever, then perhaps Pink Floyd for me. To hear such young musicians paying tribute to John Lennon really is special for me. What a writer, singer and songwriter. R.I.P. John Lennon and THANKYOU :)
Great to see you back and what a great interview. I am amazed by how talented you are and I think it so cool how your father is helping you find your way. Also, it's heartwarming that you have so much appreciation for older music!!
AWESOME answers from both young ladies! Loved hearing about their influences, favorite songs, etc. But I gotta tell you- BOTH answers to that final question were absolutely perfect. Add more musicians and be nice to each other. I can't think of a better way!
Love you and your wonderful dad and your playing of course. Amazing. Do you like fret less bass? I have played finger style acoustic guitar since I was a little boy (I’m now 69 years old). My father was a jazz guitar player who did gigs and club dates with Billie Holiday and many others. Your playing Ellen is so great to hear. Your dad’s instruction seems so kind, perfect for you and knowledgeable. He is an impressive, masterful guitar player as you know of course. Just want to say congratulations on the beginning of your life in music. You will go so far. I know your dad and family will protect and guide you through your journey in the world of professional music. You have such a bright future. You also, because of your wonderful dad and family, are obviously an amazing human being. Before I finish this comment I would like to answer two of the questions that were asked in this video: Worse food I ever tasted: I was a special forces soldier in Norway’s Jaegerkommandoen. During basic training on jungle survival we had to eat these disgusting long white worms that live inside palm trees. It was just awful! Next, one food for the rest of my life? Easy, real Italian Spaghetti Bolognese! So, best wishes to you and your dad. I will follow your playing and your career as you grow into your future. You are a gifted natural talent. You remind me of my daughter when she was your age and also my granddaughter. Best of everything to you! Love your videos and your playing and your great taste in music.
Just a little info for you try a young singer "Angelina Jordan" originally from Norway lives in L.A. now here's her beginning her career (ruclips.net/video/O2bX15tYFVk/видео.html&ab_channel=TALENTKINGHD )
This was so much fun seeing and hearing from our favorite young musicians! 😊 Ellen cracks me up. Thank you so much for this today. Best wishes to you all and happy jamming! 🤘🎶🎸🤘
Brilliant to see you back, been so long since your last post and great to see you doing so well, thanks for introducing us to Charlotte, you two girls are utterly amazing
6:11 Young female guitarists are so inspiring. Nearly 50 years ago, I went to a Norton Buffalo concert in Sacramento, California. Bonnie Raitt was the opening act. She blew me away with her mad guitar skills.
Great interview. Some of the answers definitely showed the girls youthfulness. Silly but answers that were innocent and naive. Great answers and I really love that they appreciate and respect classic music. Thanks for sharing this with us. Keep on rocking girls
So good to see you back. Incredible interview. Both of those young ladies are so talented. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love
Ellen, you have a wonderful dad. I love it when you see the parent is involved and everyone is having fun. Love this video, it was great to see Charlotte as well, now I need to check out her RUclips videos. Maybe Charlotte and Ellen can be in a band together. You need a drummer, have you checked with Ringo and see if he is busy. lol I for one would love to see you a form a band and do some covers of Beatles. There are plenty of Beatle Festivals that would love to have you.
One of her top five guitarists is John Lennon. I absolutely love that. He is not a guitarist who is usually in someone’s top five. Though he was not flashy, and didn’t possess great technical prowess, he certainly used his guitar to write some great material that will last forever. And his rhythm guitar playing was excellent.
I think these young ladies ard really amazing, not just their abilities, but their willingness to work, learn,, and apply repetition. It can be hard at times to keep the "fire" burning, so I found learning something new would get the creative juices flowing. Good luck in both of your futures, I'll be watching for you!💜
Such bright and talented young ladies. So cool that Charlotte mentions School of Rock. I saw it in theaters when I was about her age, so it's great that the younger generation still likes it and gets inspired by it.
I love this q and a with the 3 of you! Stay safe and healthy and keep surprising the world with your music. Love what you're doing. Love from the Netherlands ❤
I would love to hear Charlotte and Ellen playing together in a recording like the, ¨Ellen & Hovak (Father & Daughter Duet)¨ or, Ellen & Hovak - Don't Stop The Music (Father & Daughter Duet) it could be really interesting.
Watching Ellen play makes my day. Playing is one thing, but her joy of it, tops it all. Have you tried Moody Blues on her? Seems like they have some interesting bass.
Nice well-structured Q&A of each other! It was also very nice see and hear your special guest, Charlotte! Her and Ellen sure do complement each when they jam! Thanks for sharing the Q&A. Peace
Hovak, being around those girls is going to keep you young (along with playing rock and roll). They are also such fine examples of the good type of young people that never get headlines but really makes the world go 'round. Thank you all for sharing yourselves.
Great interview. You can tell that they both have the fibre of professional musicians already, even at such a young age. Now guess what’s I’m going to do now… practice! Because unlike Charlotte and Ellen, I do need to be reminded. ;) Cheers!
These two up and coming talented girlls are being steered the right way by thier patents introducing them to older music that great musicians drew thier influences from. Ellen always astounds me and this is the first time seeing Charlotte. Her musical maturity and playing at 13 is remarkable and 👍👍for her guitar influences. 🎸🤩💫
I don't think you two will have much trouble finding another kid about your same ages to play drums. Just promise when you do to make more youTube videos of you playing together. And thanks again for another delightful video. You make me remember what joy it was to start playing music when I was 9. I saw the movie "A Hard Days Night" and Ringo (and The Beatles) was all it took. I After that drums were all I could think about.
Ellie can’t help but to smile when she talks, I feel like Adults can learn a lot from kids about not sweating the small stuff, & not taking life so seriously.
What a fun time interview with two lovely and talented girls that are lovers of music. Maybe a fun video with Ellen and Charlotte would be nice. Go girls and rock on!
These kids are keeping rock and roll alive...keeping it real one instrument at a time!
Thanks for introducing Charlotte, she is so talented and has immaculate taste in music and guitarists. She is going places! This was a fun interview
I like how her father is always having her use correct terminology and stating the song, artist, album and year of every song she plays
They're smart, they're passionate about what they do, and you can tell they're open-minded and curious. I guess that's why their answers are thoughtful and not just blah blah. These are two remarkable young ladies.
What charming and creative young ladies we have here…. just what the world needs!
Hovac! Please keep producing these videos! The world needs this uplifting dose of cuteness! (You're saving the world, one video at a time...) ;-)
Thank you sir, I appreciate it.
Amen 🙏 The girls innocence is so refreshing. I enjoy the smiles and laughter.
I was lucky to hurt my back last week hauling log splitter and wood. I’m couch potato since and discovered you, Hovak and Ellen. I love your site. I watch many half hour clips everyday. Makes my day. It was very uplifting to hear the views of the next generation of musicians!!!

After Hearing that $6 , I actually had anger feelings. Requiring that instrument then looking for an additional way to scam cash.
Very very very nice video , thanks all of you Ellen , charotte and papa.
It was the funniest until she asked if John Lennon was a guitar player...boy did I feel old!!
The second chorus of the intro to Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven had recorder recorded in the intro. Don’t be ashamed to overdub unusual different instruments in certain songs as it has worked well in certain Classic Rock songs.
That's those liberal schools for you!!! I am surprised they don't charge to use the restroom.😮
As a bass player / guitarist, I’m so blown away by the love and passion for music but more importantly your instruments of choice. You are the future. Keeping it alive❤️❤️
Charlotte Milstein is the most talented guitar player and she's so smart too!! 🎸🎵🎶❤️❤️❤️❤️😊
Good to see such talented young people. The torch is in good hands.
these young ladies are keeping rock alive thank you thank you thank you rock on
Great Job dad ! For being what two many parents don’t do . That’s helping your children accomplish what ever goal or dream they get into
Pure moment of joy watching you three childs! don't change 💖💖💖

Ellen, Drums & Piano are percussive. Slap Bass is also. Try piano again.
She loves the freedom of walking alone, or going somewhere without asking. That's a deep insight.
Things we take for granted for $400, Alex!
Two wise young heads! My answer to the last question would be: to keep watching this channel, you make the world a better place already.
Nick
So happy to see Ellen return to RUclips. It has been too long. Great interview.

I loved Norton Buffalo back in the day. His music flowed. Another Day is a favorite. Bonnie Raitt has always been incredible.
I enjoyed the Q&A and it was well done. Charlotte is very talented. Great Channel!! Keep up the good work, Ellen and Hovak!!
Great interview. Some of the answers definitely showed the girls youthfulness. Silly but answers that were innocent and naive. Great answers and I really love that they appreciate and respect classic music. Thanks for sharing this with us. Keep on rocking girls

You got to love these young ladies. They are amazing musicians at such a young age. 👍👍❤️☘️

Just watched Ellen and Charlotte jam Muse 😮 Amazing job ladies! 🤘
Thank you for a good video. It`s fun to see and hear your answers 🤩❤

Great to see these young people so interested in music. I cannot say how many times music has pulled me out of something negative in life.
I think these young ladies ard really amazing, not just their abilities, but their willingness to work, learn,, and apply repetition. It can be hard at times to keep the "fire" burning, so I found learning something new would get the creative juices flowing. Good luck in both of your futures, I'll be watching for you!💜
Fun questions and great answers! Makes me happy to see such smart, engaged kids.

We just posted two videos on the Facebook page, RUclips blocked those here, so Facebook is the only place that you can watch them.
@@EllenPlaysBassoh to bad. I don’t do Facebook. Darn!!!! 😢
Two very awesome young talents
I was so glad Brian May made the cut of influences. He has such a smooth and flowing playing style.
Wonderful interview! Thank you.
Watching Ellen play makes my day. Playing is one thing, but her joy of it, tops it all. Have you tried Moody Blues on her? Seems like they have some interesting bass.
These kids are so mature for their age.. I don't know any kids with this kind of maturity...
Nice well-structured Q&A of each other! It was also very nice see and hear your special guest, Charlotte! Her and Ellen sure do complement each when they jam! Thanks for sharing the Q&A. Peace
Very nice interviews. The girls are so talented and still so natural and happy - thanks for guiding them so carefully!
Hovak, being around those girls is going to keep you young (along with playing rock and roll). They are also such fine examples of the good type of young people that never get headlines but really makes the world go 'round. Thank you all for sharing yourselves.
Fantastic interview by two very intelligent young ladies! (And insanely talented! Of course!)
Yes. You must let Ellen and Charlotte meet Paul McCartney, and make a video. Before it is to late. Love from me.
Be compassionate to each other.😊
There such a breath of fresh air.
Great interview. You can tell that they both have the fibre of professional musicians already, even at such a young age.
Now guess what’s I’m going to do now… practice! Because unlike Charlotte and Ellen, I do need to be reminded. ;)
Cheers!
So wonderful!
It is impressive to see two such mature young ladies in this format.
Great that the Beatles are still loved❤
Awesome! I really enjoyed the interview!
I loved this interview! Thank you all guys!
💜👏👏👏
Ellen and Charlotte WOW!
Can't wait for Ellen to start singing!!!
This was a nice video. Got to see more of Ellen’s personality.
It’s great to see such wunderful young ladies grow up! Musically and … you name it!
The beauty will safe the world.
Great interview what I can't wait for is to see this band that is formed with these girls I can predict will be one of the most awesome bands around.

God bless all of you. Wonderful people.
What a fun time interview with two lovely and talented girls that are lovers of music. Maybe a fun video with Ellen and Charlotte would be nice. Go girls and rock on!
Eleanor Rigby is definitely my fav, I bought a fretless because of you, Keep Rocking Ellen!
Two outstanding young ladies you interviewed there. There is hope for the future! Just be a good human being…
Awesome ! Charlotte , I love your taste in Guitar Players.
Nice video. I’ll put Armenia on my list of places to visit.
Thank you for the post sure have been missing your post😢
This was fun to watch.
Very cool interview, great idea, thanx :)
Hovak, kudos to you sir for the incredible work you do to advance these young prodigies! My F4 pick-Penny Lane or Paperback Writer...
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
