I can't get over how Ellen's focus just locks on that bass and she grooves even before having plugged in as if she's been playing this bass for a good bit of time. Adjusting to the different scale so fast is not as easy as it may seem. This video also shows her hand positions and her technique which is getting better and better so quickly.. Awesome.

Every vid I see of Ellen playing, I am astounded by her sense of melodic rhythm. If there ever was a "natural" bass player, she is IT. Very cool of Mayones to send her this, and very smart, as it will return many times over in positive publicity for their fine instrument. Thank you for sharing this. Very fun.

I know that she was just playing around and getting a feel for the instrument, but what she was playing triggered a memory of a bass-line that I couldn't quite put my finger on. I literally sat there for about five minutes trying to figure out what song it was that sounded so similar.
Then I remembered:the Steve Miller Band's "Space Cowboy"!
Maybe it's only the bridge section that I'm thinking of, but that's what I heard.
Ellen definitely shows great talent and potential.
