Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Talking with a couple of friends today who mentioned your channel as being their favorite. Also talked about selling my 30’ center console a couple of weeks ago and now being totally dependent on my little 17’ scout. One of the guys said he thought my little boat might be the same as yours. It is. Got to say you are already now one of my favorites.
I just got into fishing and I gotta say I really enjoy your content your one of my favorite fishing channels and the fact that you always mention Jesus Christ is fantastic keep up the good work God bless you brother
Great idea with the dressing. I have only used some sort of salsa. Pineapple salsa goes well with it, but now I have to get some of that yogurt dressing.
I love croaker. They are my fallback target fish. I can always catch big reds and specks in the fall, but in the hot summer months, it can be a challenge. Thank God for croakers. They are always there, and FishBites are the best bait by far. You are the one who introduced me to popper fishing in the Gulf. Thanks for that. I've lost a few lures and caught schools of Ladyfish, but I've never gotten into the specks and blues the way you do. It will happen one day. It's probably going to be the day I get up extra early. By the way, these are uncertain times for everyone. Your videos and upbeat presentation serve the special purpose of getting all of our minds off the tumultuous times we are now facing. Do not underestimate its importance.
in the process of selling the farm, moving not far from where you're at....your videos keep the much-needed motivation!! you'll be at 50K subs by this time next year!!
Just found the channel through tiktok and love it! I’m over in Mobile and my parents are in Gulf Shores so everything about this channel is relevant to me, maybe I’ll see you around the area when I’m over that way.
compared to South Florida definitely seems like a place I would completely slow down and enjoy the the gulf shores later sometime . Completely different ball game! thx for sharing Bama!
Love that flat gulf, i looked at chart the other day that showed wave height by month in gulf based off of 42012 and August, September and October have a lot of these flat days.. And ya that yogurt dressing is my of my favorites, that cilantro just makes it so refreshing. Keep doing what you're doing, it's working.
I love a flat gulf too ! Haha lake of Mexico. Yes that dressing was delicious. I’m going to use more of it for sure in the future .thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Been there too my brother, 1. Cast net malfunction. 2. Remora hook up putting lure in the water. They didn’t get the memo, we don’t want to catch you. Lol Great videos 🙏
I’m coming to gulf shores at the end of October I’m from east Texas would like to meet ya an maybe do some surf fishing I’ve never fished the ocean so guidance would be a plus
Not 100% for sure, I know that the "crazy fish" is an Atlantic Bumper. Theres another one that's not as tall/wide called a Leatherjacket that'll light ya up if you get poked by it. The Crazyfish do make pretty great Tarpon/king bait if there aren't any Sardines or Pogies around.
I’ll have to say the catch and cooks are my favorite for sure. Great video. Thanks for mentioning the baits and gear used for the different styles of fishing and species. Like, using live shrimp and a popping cork. Something I’m definitely going to try. I’d love to catch a redfish. Or a keeper trout. I’m also noting the artificial baits used.
Dude, Awesome fishing 👍🏻👍🏻. I have a suggestion, go to the store and buy a bottle of Bar keepers friend and it will clean that Blackstone right up. Then purchase a cover for it.
It's always been my moto, if you have to put more than salt-pepper on a fish just to eat it, then it goes in a crab trap...lol... Get that pier fixed so I can come camp out on it...LOL... Keepm tight brother...."RTR"
Is that a new law?? Because I live in Florida and I have commercial fished and charter fished my whole life and and we use treblle hooks on our stinger rigs And we will use just a single travel hawk and throat hook pilcher's commercial fishing for king fishI mean everybody likes the triple hook rig now But as old school people will still use little piece of number 3 wire and a treble hook
@@BamaSaltwater that’s what I thought I’m about to get me a pair. Do you like the 7” or you think the 6” would be better for you. We do the same type of fishing I’m from South Alabama also.
@@blakejernigan1518 I use the 7" on everything, they may not fit in a smaller fish's mouth, but they are great for big reds, trout, snapper, kings etc.
Go do a catch and release video targeting cobia, help bring awareness to the cobia population in Alabama which has drastically decreased in the last 6 years
No gaff?? What was your plan had you caught a king? Cause you wouldn't be able to boat flip a king like you did that Spanish lol. Nice remora too!! 😂 😂
My plan that day was catch and release/pop em off until I caught that nice Spanish ! Hahaha. I had enough meat for the freezer but it’s hard to turn down a fresh Spaniard
Not enough mercury in these fish to harm you unless you over consume them. Spanish mackerel have much lower levels in them versus big king Mack’s . I’m not a scientist, but just from what I’ve heard.
Where are you seeing that trembles are illegal for Pelagics in FL??? This is a serious questions bc I can't find any literature within the FL Fishings Regs that states that! I know it's illegal for Reef & Coastal fish but wasn't under the understanding that trembles couldn't be used in FL for mackerel fish which are classified as Pelagics! Just need to know where this has come about as I can't find any data on that and if so, my entire array of King rigs and Dusters are alllll illegal then....yayyy!!!!😳

I really like that there is not any cursing on the channel. Super positive and great stuff!
Keep cooking up all this good food and we’ll have to start calling ya Chef Bama Saltwater lol
Love you how take 20 seconds to describe your set up (bait, rod, reel, line) every time. Really helpful
That fish was so good. I could of eaten it with a baked potato & salad. Yum.
I believe i met your brother at a tackle shop, bought some tackle for vacation at hooked up and caught a 17.75 inch pompano later in the day
Wow . Nice size Spanish

We do the same thing at my house, only we use tuna and make a mango salsa, and use a Sriracha mayo on ours !!! We love em !!!!

Those are the size Spanish we all hope for! Great video, brother! 🤙🎣🎣🎣
Thanks for the Cilantro Avacado Yogurt dressing idea.
And, yes, that was a Stud Mackerel!
Looks delicious bud 👍🏻

That looks good !
I just ate lunch and I want a spanish taco now.
Thankyou for cooking those tortillas!!
You know it!

Love ur content. U make it looks easy. I fish 3-7 days a week here on beaver lake AR. ( striper guide). But I’ve always loved fishing salt water.

Good vid! What store carries the cilantro avocado dressing??
Rouse’s Market
Great video brother ! When you gonna make a video with bama beach bum ?
Is a cigar minnow a mullet?
Negative, cigar minnow and mullet are two separate species . Both excellent baits
Yummmmm
What are the pliers you always have in that sheath on your hip?
They've the Van Staal 7" Pliers. I received them as a gift when I was in the Army

You really can’t believe the remora ate the Bait you kept putting in his face!
I was trying to show the action of the lure one handed with a camera. Remoras do not generally hit plastic lures.

Why don’t you bleed them?
I do, they bleed out on the boat, RUclips is funky when you show lots of blood so I choose not too !
I thought mackerel from the gulf weren’t supposed to be eaten due to high levels of Mercury.

Treble hooks are legal in Florida on certain fish and kings is one of them.
