Hey Bama. I've been watching for a while now and I want you to take this is a whole hearted compliment- you have a Bob Ross vibe and energy. Your content is awesome, your energy is warm and welcoming, and you're an amazing fisherman. I look forward to more adventures!!!
Really felt that having trouble coming up with all the words when you took the break otw out. Nothing like the peace out there when you can escape from the day to day grind. Does so much for the soul.
This episode has to have been one of the best fishing episodes of all 2022 from any creator. I absolutely loved the cooking technique at the end. I'm inspired to cook whole snapper in this method the next time I get my hands on some.
Hey Stephen, I'm sitting in my truck at a truck stop in Virginia right now. It's 31° outside and dark, but watching you makes me feel like I'm on the water. I love watching your videos, your Bob Ross approach, and that you're a fellow vet. Tight lines brother!
Yet another amazing video!!!! Give me offshore fishing fever every time I watch. Ive said it several times. Get that charter going man!!!! I want one of the first trips!!!
Super genuine bama. You have a very warm and welcoming personality. Been watching for so long and I really appreciate how you thank the good Lord for everything that you have and been blessed with. Very few good RUclipsrs like you. I believe you truly do it out of enjoyment and not for monetary values. Can’t wait for the next video.
Boy those half shell reds look great mouth watering UHM UHM good. I enjoyed watching you and your mother catching those redfish. Really nice fish! Oh I just wanted to take a moment to wish you, your mother and family aMerry Christmas of our Savior coming to earth for us. Such a precious gift.
"Cuz the snapper can take it..." Such entertaining narration. Keep it coming, your videos are gold. I have learned so much watching the prep and cooking.
Yessir great video....... like the support of the local bait shop like the realness of your unexaggerated and mellow excitement I always pick up new ideas from your vids cheers
Loving your content, watching your channel keep growing. Best of luck in 2023, hoping you'll hit 200K subs and beyond! I'd personally love to see a video of like your "top 10 catches of 2022" to close out the year. Maybe throw in some commentary about them and why you chose em, but of course that's just an idea!
I absolutely love it when you take us for the ride out, from start to finish!! All those sharks, how do you feel safe enough to not wear a life vest, as much as some of the awesome fish fight you! I love every minute of watching you! and actually I suppose the life vest won't help the sharks not get to ya!! So hold that foot in tight between that rail lol!
Great video. Just arrived in Gulf Shores from Cincinnati last night. Went to the pier today. Super windy. Hooked one fish but broke my line. Going on an inshore charter Wednesday. Great channel 👍
I just found you a few days ago trying to prep for my three weeks on Pensacola Beach. Bringing my little zodiac and four-horse, hoping to tear it up! 🤞 for some slot reds. I love that you go out into the great wide blue, or even up into the river mangroves, all on your own and enjoy the hell out of it. Heck, you just roll up on the beach with your mom and have a blast. You've got a special way of doing things, and your channel should only grow because of it. Love the cooking aspect too. 👊
Fishing is my fave hobby and I will fish any day of the week if possible. However, I am a catch and release since I don't eat fish, but this fish on the grill with the jerk sauce looks delicious. I would definitely give it a try.
Amazing stuff there my brother! I have been around for a while and love to see where this channel is going! All your hard work is paying off! Merry Christmas to you and your Mom !
I'm retired Army and I noticed your 1st Cav hat, good old Ft. Hood Texas....Love the channel bro, been watching for a very long time. I'm going to try that grilled Snapper recipe next time I get snapper
Left the boat ramp a few months ago. It was so foggy I spent an hour netting bait away from the channel. Too many full throttle boaters with radar. Nothing more scary than hearing outboards behind you when you can’t see them. Nice snappers by the way. Keep up the good work.
Nice work Bama! Beautifully cooked, great camera work, loved seeing the sharks and the remoras always make me laugh, if you go bald they'll stick to your head lol
I am far behind in your vids. but this one really was great. That snapper looked so good I had to have dinner right after watchin the video. Keep those videos coming I love them.
Hey Bama, great video, keep ‘em coming! Try snapper with olive oil, oregano lemon and salt and pepper. Greek style. It’s the only and best way to have it! God bless you brother 😎
I always love the Remora trick and think it’s great for people to learn about what those fish are if they don’t know. However, when removing the sucker from a surface. Gently slide the fish at an angle until it frees itself. It can very badly damage those sensitive sucker patches if the fish is just snatched and pulled on until it pops off. Just a tip because I know you care about the animals you dedicate your time to. Keep up the content!
Alabama sounds like Pa with all the rules, I really have a lot of respect for you doing all this all alone, sometimes you put my m on,you should do and entire episode were you are the cameraman and let your mom fish in your boat with very little editing, Wonder what your mom would think of that? Also if you like it kicked up try GRACE yellow Scotch Bonnet sauce ab fab delish
Great work with that bait and rods, hell of a job showing everything about grilling that way. Have to grill up some snapper that way. Also liked that 1st Team hat, to bad they don't have 1st/8th to go with it.
I went to fort morgan pier that day it was very foggy and catched 3 flounders, saved this video so when i catch it ill do that same recipe, great video👍🏻
That was a great video as always👍👍 I loved that you stopped outside the fog and just took it all in.... so relaxing. Everyone up here is Atlantic coasters and when I tell them about how flat the gulf can get they can't believe it. That fish looked amazing. I'm land locked when I fish down there so snapper isn't a possibility but I'm definitely trying that on redfish!!!!!
Great video this was fun for me and my son to watch like we were right there in the boat with you…… intense when you could see the sharks coming for the fish😮😬 When we vacation in orange beach we should have you charter.😊
Best catch and cook yet. I'm a chef from Obx dish looks amazing. I hope you wear a pfd when fishing offshore as well as the kill switch lanyard. I've fallen out of a boat in cold water solo scared me straight. Love the vlog
Thanks! I love being able to cook a fish whole, so many different meat on the fish (behind the fins, cheeks, etc) that just make it so much better. And yes, I try my best to wear/have safety equipment while solo! I always have a PLB and typically wear the PFD when it's not flat calm or when trolling.
Dude, I love watching your channel. I have fished in the Gulf down near Port Aransas, TX and these are fun fish to catch. I live in Rhode Island and we fish northern salt water stuff, but we have some fun with Black Sea Bass, Striped Bass, Tautog, Fluke, Flounder...and the occasional Great White Shark lol.
We use fish eyes for bait through the ice.. I believe one of the big companies already sells artificial eyes in a jar.. my old timer pals actually have a tool for eye pluckin’ great channel brother!
Love your videos as always man! Told my wife this evening that my 20 year goal is to retire out of TN around the gulf. So jealous of your lifestyle. Keep up the great work ❤️
Howzit, thanks for the great videos. Keep it up, really enjoying them. I fish in South Africa 🇿🇦 and the 🇦🇪. I have never been a fan of Circle Hooks, but watching your technique has changed my opinion. Will definitely give them a try.
I just wanted to say that I think you have the best fishing show on RUclips! I really like the fact that you tell us what type of Rod and Reel and line that you use and different types of rigs. That really helps a lot, but the cooking at the end bothers me a little because after I watch your video I'm starving for fish!! But seriously I think you do a great job and I can't wait until the water warms and I can get back out there. Oh and there's one more thing don't forget to have yourself a great day- Mike

Brother you keep living the good life, your content helps me get through the week. Thank you so much for clean, no bs content! Honor and Courage!
Love the KALIK beer shirt from Xuma. I grew up in the bahamas and it caught me off guard to see someone from the states wearing it.
Haha that’s awesome !! My brother got it for me as a gift when they went to the Exumas. I’ve never been but would love too one day
Yet another amazing video!!!! Give me offshore fishing fever every time I watch. Ive said it several times. Get that charter going man!!!! I want one of the first trips!!!

When it comes to cookin fish whole tin foil is a MUST! It just works so well. I use a lot of butter in the foil, so delicious!
Steve brother, you have the best job ever and you get to eat the best food. Your truly have Jesus in your heart.
Boy those half shell reds look great mouth watering
UHM UHM good. I enjoyed watching you and your mother catching those redfish. Really nice fish!

Don't get to go to the ocean very much, so I'm glad you can share just part of what our wonderful Lord made. Fantastic video. Beautiful fish.
Yessir great video....... like the support of the local bait shop like the realness of your unexaggerated and mellow excitement I always pick up new ideas from your vids cheers
You're just about to hit that 100k subscribers. Triple tail is probably one of the must underrated, best tasting fish in the Gulf. They are delicious!
Man, that Jamaican red snapper looks GOOD! never had it with a sauce like that. Will have to try that for sure!
It turned out 100% better than I thought it would. Imma have to do it again
I love how much fun he has.
-Love from California

Only problem was fog. It was perfect sea conditions for sure!
Great video. Just arrived in Gulf Shores from Cincinnati last night. Went to the pier today. Super windy. Hooked one fish but broke my line. Going on an inshore charter Wednesday. Great channel 👍
