102 days without posting. I couldn’t focus on my videos, was overthinking and decided to focus on the offline part of my life. I think I’ve experienced a burnout that is over now. It feels good to have the desire to create and the desire to share again. I hope you still remember me and my channel :)

I hope to find a nice place in Hội An. One of my favorite RUclipsr's lives in Ho Chi Minh City. I freaking love that country.

We stay in Da Nang, and Vietnam nowadays overall isn't that cheap. We rent 2 bedroom in a huge apartment complex with a swimming pool for 11mil and it's a fair price. After living in Egypt for 2 years, everything here is two times more expensive. But the quality of life is much better, the sea is warmer, the cities are cleaner, the food is tastier :)

Fascinating video. Thanks Niki. For those of us that do not travel, this view into your life in Vietnam is very interesting. I love the coffee shops. The expenses are incredible. I live in Toronto Canada which has become one of the very expensive places to live. Our grocery stores look very similar except yours has much better selection of fresh fruit and veggies. Your cost for meat, fruit and veggies is a fraction of what we spend. When you talk about $9 per day for accommodation it is hard to believe. My home is being repaired so my insurance paid for a nice place by a lake. The rental rate is 1,800 per day. Stupid expensive, but meant for 5 couples and Tom Hanks has a place near by. Chicken breasts at the store are $27/kg. And a case of 12 cans of coke was $11. It is a tourist area, but not so different from what I see in your place.

You mentioned the 5kg bags of rice, but they are, in fact, NOT common in Asia. They're common in Europe and the United States, but the common amount of rice to purchase is a large 20kg-30kg sack in all of Asia. It takes about 2 months to go through each 20kg bag of rice for a family of 4, and it is MUCH cheaper to purchase 20kg-30kg bags than those tiny 5kg bags. Here in the United States, my family and I only purchase 30kg bags of rice from local Asian markets, because regular grocery stores do not have them - but every Asian market, even the tiniest ones, have hundreds of 30kg sacks of rice.

I'm so happy to see you are ready to post videos again. It gives people who live in unstable countries hope. You have made it through a very scary intense life altering situation. I'm glad that you didn't get conscripted into that stupid war that no regular American wants to fund. It's horrible that people are dying to fund greedy corrupt American billionaires who are aligned with greedy corrupt Ukrainians. The corrupt thieves aren't dying on the front line. Thank you for your wisdom and courage.

It blows my mind at how inexpensive it is to live a very good life in Vietnam (especially if you have a decent income). Here in the United States inflation and the cost of living is so high. I love the scooter! One thing I like about many Asian countries is the widespread use of scooters. They are so much more practical for around town use than cars. I once had a Honda scooter here in the U.S. but riding in the midst of so many cars is a bit scary. Because there are relatively few scooters and motorcycles here, car drivers sometimes don’t notice them, and collisions are all too common, and never good for the cycle rider.

It is refreshing to see your channel is back up and running again. You have good content, otherwise you wouldn't have over 200,000 subscribers, right?!

That's pretty cheap, it cost me less for housing here until I have to repair or replace something because I own the house and the land it sets on. The place you have there looks like a pretty nice appartment. I'm glad you are doing well, thanks for sharing that with us.

Have not seen a recent video of your Niki, but i thought you have moved to Georgia for some time, maybe even extended time. Yet i know you like Asia and that region so good to see you back there. Thanks for your video, and showing us how you live and what it costs to stay. Looks nice, wish I could travel like you do. TY

You are a good travel blogger. Will follow your channel as you travel. The only thing that confuses me is the Vietnamese currency

Vietnamese currency confuses me too. It took a long time to get used to all those 000000

Me and a friend lived in Da Nang for 6 months last year, beautiful place. We found Go very expensive, we mainly shopped in local food markets which are much much cheaper. I wouldnt buy meat from them markets, but eggs fruit & veg I did.

Da Nang is a nice city! I enjoyed my trips there. Sometimes I also go to local food markets, especially when I want to buy a lot of fruits and veggies

So glad you’re back, Niki!! Glad you are continuing to enjoy living in Dalat, and I’m glad that your friend was able to get out as well. You have a lovely house that looks comfortable. I looked up Dalat on Wikipedia because I was unfamiliar with it, and didn’t realize that it had such a fantastic climate (minus rainy season) and isn’t so hot. Apparently, it was built up in the early 1900s by the French Colonists as a resort town, and continues to be a huge tourist area. You might look for pork products as those will be cheaper than beef in Vietnam. A lot of Asian people are lactose intolerant/sensitive and so there is less milk products used. Also, cows take up a lot of land, and I don’t know how well they’d do in Vietnamese climate. Thank you for showing the supermarket!! I love the foreign supermarket tours, thanks for showing them! For bread you’ll enjoy…order a bread maker from the internet, you can easily make all the bread in any way you like to eat it with no bread making skills (put in ingredients, press a few buttons, come back in 60 min to 3 hours, depending on what you’re making, and it’s done!) Hopefully you are able to post videos more often, but that’s selfish for me, mostly I hope you are able to live your very best life and be happy and live your dreams.

Thank you very much, Molly! Dalat is like a hidden gem in Vietnam and more and more people discover this place. And I keep discovering local groceries and food options :)

Lovely town. I spent some time there myself. Much nicer climate than the coast.
