I am the Clanfolk Dev. Thanks very much for playing! There are so many new players on the demo today as well. I really appreciate you getting the word out. If you play more in the future and get into Fall and Winter, things will get pretty serious survival wise as well :) Also for anyone who wants to try the SplatterCat Clan, use 34115 in the world seed panel (you can change the seed after that too) What an excellent day. Thanks again!
Splat: I'm kind of a risk-taker when it comes to food. I like to try new things. Also Splat: I have 7 different types of oatmeal in the cupboard right now.
I played this well past my bed time last night and its been a while since I've done that. Not many games like this do I enjoy but this is the best colony survival I've plaid. It's easy to start, forgiving and updated frequently.
Some sort of "Clan Pride" mechanic could work for the Plaid stat. Have them do things that boost or reduce their pride in being a member of their clan. Having buffs for strong pride and debuffs for low pride.
Me and my grandparents used to play a version of poker where you played for coins, a very small, fixed bet type of poker, you could say. One of my most favorite things was sorting and stacking the coins, so you're definitely not alone.
Saying about the visibility for the colour of the tasks - I love that they didn't use red, especially with so much greenery. Red and green while supposedly opposites, can be quite had to distinguish and red/green is one of the most common variations of colourblindness. It's one I struggle with.
14:07 Yeah. It's pretty much a family motto that if the price isn't in the menu, it's too expensive. We take money management very seriously- though we can also joke about it. When we have family reunions we like to play "penny poker," and it's not uncommon for people to throw in the proverbial towel after someone tosses a dime into the pot. "Ten cents? Pheeew... That's too rich for my blood!" [folds] Frugality is underrated, yo.
Our family plays Mexican bingo, but the tokens (and prize) are all Pennies. Play until you can’t afford to fill another card. We all save up our pennies until the next game. I guess it’s not out of frugality, but rather finding a use for change.
@@Phontoz That's strange. I know for sure that you can buy stuff for the old price if personnel haven't changed tags yet even though price already changed.

31:05 Umm... Scotland WAS a wet place? Yeah, I suppose you're right, it's now the other other desert when the wild haggis over-populates. In order to get humidity back, Scots need to constantly hunt clockwise and counterwise wild haggis so they don't chase away the storm clouds. The next time you buy some haggis, and you eat it, realize that you're directly contributing to the continuance of Scotland being graced with wetness. Also, Unagi is amazing. Love it.
Watching this from the highlands of Scotland, just wondering if your clan will be driven mad in the summer by midges, the bane of life in the highlands. I can also confirm that those small lochs where water collects but doesn’t flow are not good for drinking or washing. The bugs would eat you alive. I do t even let my dog jump in those and she loves swimming.

You haven't lived until you've found out you have to buy "caliche insurance" in case the dudes digging your pool hit it. If they do, they have to bring in heavy equipment.
I lived in caliche country most of my childhood and have many fond memories of trying to get it off shoes or the car after it dried, and less fond memories of using a pickaxe to try planting a few roses

This game looks amazing!!! Definitely up my alley and can't wait to play it!! It sounds like you were in the FLDS or an extreme homeschool group, which...honestly in my experience are often one and the same! 😂 I was homeschooled exclusively and while my family was a little more liberal in some things, that (and religious extremism) was very much the environment of me and my peers. It messes with you if you're a female, can't speak for the dudes. But me and my sisters walked away and are all gay, trans, or both! 🤣 The majority of my female friends from then also left with similar outlooks, but the few who stayed are exactly like their parents. It's a little sad and creepy. Like...they didn't survive the brainwashing. Ah well, so long as they're happy I suppose all is well?
I been loving your channel, your so great guy and funny as fuck. Your reviews are so on point. I love this new games that I been discovering thanks to you. So keep up the good work!
This seems like I might enjoy it. I just picked up Rim World last night, but I've not played it yet. It seems with RW you need to do certain things like set up a corridor full of traps and walls to kind of cheese the eaves that get thrown at you. If this game doesn't have all that, I might enjoy it more to start with. I really want to get into Rimworld, but also wouldn't mind something similar that is less stressful.
I know many people will compare this game to Rim world but to me it doesn't feel like Rimworld at all I could never get into RW after several tries but instantly got into this. It's much more Zen.
- The wall design remind me more of Prison Architect rather than RimWorld, just from the graphical visuals, haven't played in a while, but the walls are definitely more close to P.A. thank R.W.
- I was listening to the story, and my biggest thought was "Was he a part of this community, or was he just in the vicinity, like knew the people, but not part of their actual culture?", as the story seemed a little vague, not specific on that point, perhaps on purpose, or perhaps just a coincidence.
oh I had no idea a crowbar was required for making bread THATS what Ive been doing wrong all this time oh and the flying eyelid thing yeah thats definitely something to watch out for
I'm looking forward to this one. Rimworld is cool but I feel that all the ranged guns and technology make a lot of stuff like melee just not as good. I'm looking for a better balance and this might be it.
Rimworld is space age, melee combat is dead in the 21st century and has been for several centuries for a reason Besides, in the game as it is now, it's perfectly viable, it's even optimal to have several heavily armored melee dudes
