Can't Stop the Blues was a life changer for everyone invoved in the weekly live stream show - with a world wide audience night after night CSTB helped pull the world through the darkest of days and nights - helped musicians , bands , vocalists get through the pandemic and shutdown , and supported live music night after night world wide. Many thanks CSTB !!!
DUMP THAT TRUMP! ... one of the highlights in musical and cultural history! ... DUMP THAT TRUMP! even comes from Europe/Austria!... all the best to Rick Estrin & The Nightcats
Hope to see the cats out midwest somewhere. Id drive a couple hundred miles to catch a nightcats show again. Last time I saw Rick in action was a couple years ago at the Mike Ledbetter memorial show at Legends (RIP Mike)- while a somber event Kid and Rick destroyed the place. In fact everyone destroyed the place and melted my face off. I asked Rick for an autograph after the show completely hammered and said something stupid like "I'm only 23" like a weirdo. He was like that's nice kid enjoy 23. What I meant to say is that your blues transends all age and that this shit is timeless. Thanks for doing your thing.
Tears of laughter with all the comedy parts.... tears of emotion with Charlie's appearance from heaven.... Awesome show, thanks Kid, Rick, Lo and D'Mar!
Kid - I had tears in the bit when Little Charlie came back to earth to jam with you... thanks so much, a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining show start to finish... I don’t usually watch entire youtube videos that are this length (at least not in one sitting) but you held my attention with all the great music and comedy. Brilliant!
Thank. Rick., Kid, and the Nightcats. Jeff here from the old Soup Kitchen Saloon in Detroit, Sully's in Dearborn, Sisko's from Taylor, George & Harry's in Dearborn, Callahan's in Auburn Hills clubs in Michigan. When this blows over I hope you'll blow into Michigan again. The Token Lounge is worth checking out. It's getting a bunch of blues bands. Best of all, it's 3 miles from my house. R.I.P. our friend, Charlie.
Hey Rick, Kid, D’Mar, Lorenzo that is the most AWESOME streaming vid I have seen out of everything coming out during this shit show. Hats off to you Kid for pulling all together. Great songs Rick...Dump That Trump is a classic and needs to be said...Bravo! The comedy, the music, the message!. Wow! I loved the sweet tribute to Little Charlie. He will be missed and so glad you could pay tribute. I remember my first tour overseas and playing with Little Charlie and the Nightcats for the SF Blues Festival in Italy...1980something! Glad you stopped bitching and kept going Rick!! Keep up the great work and thanx for putting some positive energy into this dark time! Your Friend Along The Way....Mitch Woods
Wonderful work, thank you to all you cool and talented “cats” and let’s dump that orange menace ASAP-fight voter suppression, campaign for Joe B. -whatever it takes...
Can't wait for your return to live music. The Bull Run in Shirley, Ma. would be ideal for me......I live right next door. Love the new Dump that trump song by the way.....
Peter, the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River is another excellent venue for live blues and other styles ---- we've seen Tab Benoit, Sonny Landreth, Los Lobos and Albert Lee play there.
Hey! Just saw you live at the W.D. Handy Fest in Henderson, Ky. (6/19/21)! You guys blew it away! Kid! What was the white guitar you were playing? Best sounding guitar i've heard in a long time! Also, the first time i've ever seen a player change tunings (well, the top string) while playing! Your use of the looper was very interesting as well! Also, Rick, sorry to say but I just do not like the sound of a chromatic but you changed me from that performance! So now I like Rick Estrin;'s chromatic sound! Badass drumming and keyboards! I'm very old-school but I didn't miss the bass guitar! Too long, so i'm out of here now!
Thanks! The guitar is a Grez “Mendocino” that was custom made for me. Thanks for the glowing kind words :) But.... I don’t know how to say this.... but didn’t you pass away like two weeks ago?!?
@@KidAndersen That was the guy who was using my name! I work in radio and met him at a radio station convention in the mid 80's in Nashville. Not to speak ill of the dead, but he wasn't very receptive that I was using my real name. I even showed him my driver's license! He could sing s LOT better than me, but i' would've taken him on in drumming. I've added guitar (basic acoustic "cowboy chords" and the open e blues scale) and very weak blues harp to my abilities. I will stand up and say i'm a solid drummer. Going right on 50 years since my first drum kit! Again, you guys were the best at Handy and thanks for the info on your guitar. You were great and it had a sound that was so good i've had trouble coming up with adjectives to describe it! Pedals?
EXCELLENT! New fan here, been missing live music so much, please put So Cal on your schedule whe we are able to have concerts again! PS LOVE the Dump that Trump video! xoxo
Happy birthday, Rick❤🎉🎂🥳🎉🎊❣️
