The bass goes into the basement and stays there...the percussion is on point...CASTINETS! and all done in TicTok style as a throwback to the viral Wellerman video.
Tim was at his brother-in-laws house standing in the yard (no explanation to the neighbors) in Chances boat. Since Chance lives in LA he doesnt have a place to keep his boat of course you ask your buddy and they store it because they may need to stand in it some day for a video lol Tim couldn't move or he would tip the boat over lol
Huge new fan! My newly dearly departed father was a professional percussionist. He would never say that because he called himself a drummer. I miss him very much. Thank you so much for your channel and the energy and the intelligence. Peace
I also like how Adam the beatboxer added in the clackers. They're not maracas but I forget what they're call them but you can hear him clacking with them within the beat.
You are the only reactor that mentioned Adam's castinets did you also catch the wave sounds. Loved your reaction have you checked out one man band and workin for a livin both fantastic
Not the only one, I've seen several others mentioning it. It's really hard to pick up everything in one listen, especially when you're also watching the video and trying to find things to comment on. Jarvis obviously has the ear and knowledge to pick things up more easily.
Home Free having fun. Austin is displaying all his theatrical skills in this video, Adam's castanet sounds added greatly to the video, Rob looks like the captain of the ship. Adam is great with the beatboxing and castanets.
I enjoyed your reaction to this fun production. Adam Rupp’s “castanets” in the last song were so extra, he keeps learning more sounds and improving. Tim’s deep bass anchored it all as he stood so carefully balanced in the little boat in a yard with his very serious expression. I needed that laugh. They really can do anything well, amazing. Austin and Rob even did Nessun Dorma and went full operatic on it.
Country a cappella group does a sea shanty medley complete with castanets (something a beatboxer for a country a cappella group needs to know, right?) and costumes. They did this one lives at the last concert I was at. It was a banger.
Jarvis, I love how you notice things other miss! I'd really love you to react to Rob and Austin singing Nessun Dorma. Even if opera is not your thing I think you'd love it. Also Austin does an amazing solo with Bring Him Home from Les Misérables that is super powerful, emotional, and simply angelic. Have tissues! I was in tears at the end.
Great reaction! This is one of my go to songs when my mood or energy levels are low! The rumbling bass, the driving beat, and the awesome vocals are just perfect for mood lifts. ❤
Thank you for a great reaction to this song. The guys were amazing. Chance was the one who talked the rest of the guys into doing this song(s) oops, apparently it was Austin did that, my bad. Adam making the sound of castanets, Rob and his mustache curled up, Austin with the sword and Tim going all Jack Sparrow were all so good. Oh and I didn't catch on to Tim standing in a boat until I was told. LOL. Enjoyed your explanations. Thanks again.
Actually Chance commented on his vlog that Austin brought it to their attention and Chance took it and picked the songs and what we got was Fabulous !!
I’ve been watching other “reaction” channels, but you are, by far, the most technical. You point out the most subtle of sounds, which makes it a richer experience for me. I’m hoping to see more current videos on Home Free by you!
That BASS. He gets way down there in the bowels of the ship. 🏴☠️ 😳 I love the harmonies and Adam and his castanets too. These guys can do no wrong. 💪 Such a fun medley. 😊 GREAT REACTION, btw! Love your grasp of music, love your energy, and your biceps and smile are breathtaking. 😉 💪 😀
Thank you for your enthusiastic Home Free reaction. I love to see musicians, non-musicians and just all types of folks enjoying Home Free music. HF deserve every success because of the dedication to detail both in costume, performance and the music they put into their videos. cheers!
I really appreciate your reactions from a musicians point of view. Your explain things in a way that some of my non-musician friends could totally understand. I had a really crappy morning at work (I'm a nurse) I felt like a bag of smashed assholes! Your enthusiasm put paid to that. Keep up the awesome job you're doing!
I love this so much. I get so excited listening to Adam's vocal percussion. It's electrifying. I love how the tempo picks up from song to song. It feels so driven.
When singing acapella (or barbershop, as I do), you always have any harmony that goes above the melody at a slightly lower raw volume. That's because the higher the notes, the more it will carry over the sound.
First time I've heard your channel. I subscribed because I liked your ability to hear the many elements in the music, your knowledge/understanding of what you're hearing, and the ability to articulate that knowledge in a way that's understandable and gives us an even deeper appreciation of what we're hearing. And no swearing, which is very refreshing to my ears!
First video of yours I have watched and was hitting subscribe before I was halfway through. Love your energy and how you explain the things that catch your ear and eye.
This is so good. Who knew sea shanties were a thing? I didn’t. Apparently Chance wanted to do this and the boys weren’t sure but they did this (you’re right, it was during Covid) and it’s a hit on TikTok. Tim, Austin and Adam went full pirate mode. Hahaha. I only knew one song but I loved this. Did you hear Adam doing castanets in the last song? Amazing. You are one of the only few who spoke about them being so in sync. It’s true, they do such good work and their harmonies are spot on. Great reaction Jarvis and I love your new studio!
Each time they shift to a different song they pick up the pace a little bit, something I find very impressive considering they were having to record these in separate places and probably not all together.
Love love love this Jarvis, thank you - you pick up so much we don't, like listening for that high harmony which I have only ever picked up today - more please :)
I really enjoy your reactions! I watch a lot of reaction videos; it's a way of virtually sharing my enjoyment of a song with someone who becomes familiar to me. You point out things that make listening even more enjoyable, and I really appreciate that. You're pretty much my favorite reaction channel at this point. You mentioned in one of your earlier reactions that when watching a movie, the musical score adds another level to the viewing experience. Home Free is really good about using visuals to enhance the listening experience. I would really like to hear you react to an older song from Home Free, a cover called "What We Ain't Got". It's a masterpiece of harmonies, with subtle things going on in the video that take it to another level. I'd enjoy hearing your commentary on that song.
I absolutely love all your reactions!! Your technical knowledge is way above most reactors and your enthusiasm is contagious ( in the non covid good way )
Hey, I know you like chance so listen to the song he wrote "Skull and bones" The made that for a game.... but they just released a fully produced mini show with it.... Check it out!
The version of DRUNKEN SAILOR I always heard (being a former drunken sailor) was ‘Put him in bed with the captains daughter x2). Some of my captains had some pretty daughters (at the age of consent of course)
Hi there! Please can’t you do a reaction on the Swedish band Dirty Loops cover on Michael Jacksons Thriller? I would love to hear what you think about them. Håkan in Sweden.
The bass goes into the basement and stays there...the percussion is on point...CASTINETS!

Castanets!!!! My favorite part of this.
Castenets. Adam did Castenets. He is made of magic, like a unicorn.
dude you listen so well ... I feel like I knew them before you and you explaining it to me! lmao
Patreon? its almost like vocal coach reacts + plain reaction channel!
Also, If You Know The Bass, Tim Foust, He Hits A G-1 In Ring Of Fire, Featuring Avi From Pentatonix
Commenting to help your algorithms again. Love the reaction. Love your channel. You're a great reactor. ❤

They are killing it. Every song is a hit. Still can't find a bad one
One man band is a must. And i love love love their version of I swear
I also like how Adam the beatboxer added in the clackers. They're not maracas but I forget what they're call them but you can hear him clacking with them within the beat.

I’ve seen one other mention his castinets.
Might not watch that person but know most all that i watch have it brought to their attention.
@@vickyclow6 yeah not a lot do, which is sad because it’s amazing!

Others have mentioned the castinets. It’s depends how many reactions you watch. If you’re me, a lot, lol

Yea! Manly men singing together beautifully ... can I even say that in this day and age ? Thanks for your reaction !

Glad you got to see them. Oh well maybe someday(sadface) for me

I had no idea about Rob's range, SO cool!
Your reaction is quite educational. Thank you so much.
JB- One Voice with Home Free and former child singing prodigy ( now adult genius) , Billy Gilman, will slay you!
Jarvis, my goodness! I learn something new from you about what these guys do with each new reaction you do! "Matching vowel sounds"? Who knew!
This slaps so hard in the car, just looking out. Very fun to cruise to this song.
I really enjoy your analyses of these Home Free reaction videos. You have some great insights based on your music experience.

This is so good live. They ended their second encore with this. So much fun
Home free got a new one out🌹🔥🔥💯

This!!!

I just came across and old cover they did of N*Sync, "Bye Bye Bye." I would love to see you check it out.
Can always pick out Austin's high tenor.
I think he was channeling his inner Jack Sparrow.
A lot of Irish music sounds like this.
This one is fun one
