Glad to see I’m not the only one who licks the travel brushes when closing them up. Also that I’m not alone in carrying so much gear. Great job. Look forward to seeing more from you.
Great Artist 's Hand Carry Bag , Martin. Wonderful idea and great organizer . Soon I will buy one for myself . It's really Very Handy to have and carry around. Many thanks Martin for sharing. Cheers from AUSTRAILA 😊👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Yep. And I thought I was bad and alone in this 😂😂😂. Your bag size beats mine tho'. We definitely have a similar taste in pens. Plus I take a few watercolor pencils & crayons and markers. Btw, the small grey fountain pen is a Hongdian M2 (I have 2 of them 😅) I had to buy a small squared pouch to make myself leave my zillion materials home. I was out of control 😅
Another immensely interesting video 👏 I don't think I need quite as much equipment as you at the moment 😂. Perhaps when I have more experience I will. Looking forward to your next episode 😊
@@MartinLachmairArt Thanks for the videos. I am now painting with ink, using my Uni Pin Brush pen for deeper shadows and dropping in paines grey for lighter shading. I am not a s precise as you but I am experimenting with accurate v loose. Windows and materials are a ‘thing’ on their own 😳😊👍🏻
Nice vid, thanks! A little remark for those interested in a small metal olive fountain pen - that's Moonman M2, not kuretaki. Highly recommend! Good writer and edc ). Cheers
Beautiful video, a very pleasant input for those who want to start an adventure between ink and washing. I use a lot of this equipment and I'm very happy with it, lately I've been experimenting with tachikawa ink pens, a wonderfully fascinating technique. Thanks Martin for sharing your passion for drawing with us, a nice video on which paper would be appropriate to buy or use in sketches would be interesting. Thank you very much and have a good weekend.
Great review about toolbox Martin,in small toolbox you have manage to squeeze in lot of stuff, this review is of immense help, thank you Martin once again ..Hemant Kothari,Mumbai,India
They are no name metal palettes you can find at Boesner if you ever come to Europe/Germany, Austria, Switzerland or France. I've only ever seen them there. The Caran d'Ache studio gouache palette is quite similar. You can take out the insert with the gouache pans and you'll get a large metal palette with big sections. Hope this helps. You can find a little tour of Boesner in Vienna in Katie Moody's video Creating Art in Vienna.

It is a great idea to organize all of your art supplies into a toolbox in order to store them neatly in one place in your studio but it is a stupid idea to take this toolbox and all this stuff with you for outdoor sketching or painting. If someone steals this toolbox you are going to lose all these art supplies that will cost you several hundreds euros to buy again, ( you'll have to literally reequip your art studio) but most importantly you are going to lose the artworks that you already have into the sketchbooks which are irreplaceable because this is all your thought and creative process. And this is something that you wouldn't like to lose. So I would suggest to leave the toolbox at home and take only the minimum necessary painting tools with you. There is no way after all to need all that stuff in one go.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who licks the travel brushes when closing them up. Also that I’m not alone in carrying so much gear. Great job. Look forward to seeing more from you.

Thank you! To be honest, I would also only need a very small amount of all these pens and brushes (but don’t tell it to my family 😅😅👍)
Tachikawa and G nibs are great. I normally use a Lamy but I think I am converted to dip pens. Thanks for sharing your tools.
Yes, in my opinion these dip pens are so much fun to use with a huge variety of lines and structure!

That's a very nice bag. I use the hard cases from the toolstore here. It's good to have the most stuff you use in one case or bag.
Hard cases I used before, worked as well, but I needed more space 😅👍

Hi thank you! It’s right it’s not a kuretake. In our region on amazon it’s called Hongdian M2 Black Forest.

Do you know the brand name of the palette @ 5:13 that has no small paint wells, just the larger areas for mixing? I cannot find one like that. Thanks.
I have to look for it when I’m back in my Studio and I will keep you informed!
