I know you don’t mean anything by this but whether it’s consciously or subs-consciously we as black women need to STOP using negative connotations about our natural hair textures.
You have a beautiful head of natural hair and a strong platform. Choose your words strategically because young black girls are watching.

You are right! .. I will make sure to use a better choice of words next time .. if you knew me personally you will know that I mean't no harm ..anyone that knows me knows how obsessed I am with my natural texture

I use Ebin, and it is very good, but during the summer, if you’re in a hot climate, it doesn’t help. Also, just a tip, to keep edges safe, always apply a leave in conditioner on your edges, massage in, then apply ebin or whatever brand of edge control you use. Helps a lot!!

Your edges are not "crusty dusty". There's nothing wrong with kinky hair or kinky edges. I really only see the point of doing this when you are wearing straight styles.

Ebin is hands down the best edge control I've ever used. I usually get the one with the purple lid and also the colored one to fill in my sparse edges. I lay them with ebin and put a little of the black got2b gel on top. Indestructible edges!

The Ebin definitely did a better job , it truly looks like your edges are relaxed! When I use the Got2B I use the black bottle because it doesn’t leave the white flakes and tie it down with my scarf for a couple minutes. It’s the first I’ve heard of the Ebin so I’ll be checking it out! Great video!

I use Ebin and it doesn't flake. However, if you use it daily you will start to see a white-ish residue from buildup. I notice she sprayed water first ti reduce buildup so i will start doing that. I will cosign that it is the best edge control ive used and my hair texture is similar to hers.

I am soo glad I came across this video. I have been looking for a good edge control. When I saw the video, I ordered THE Ebin NY from Amazon. I LOVE IT !! It works just like the video. Doesn't leave my hair hard, no flakes and it holds down my edges. This is the best !! My hair is natural and isn't very coarse I have a decent curl pattern , but my edges needed some help. The large family size was about $12 ... so worth it !! THANK YOU !!

  • @sonvorg
    @sonvorg 6 лет назад +5

I have really coarse 4c hair and I use the ebin edge control but it wears out after a while . But I started applying Design Essentials mousse on top of it and wrapping my hair up . That helps the hold on the edges last all day ( unless it’s in the summer heat then it just melts off )

I’ve yet to find an edge control to hold down my edges. I thought the EBIN was the holy grail till I used it and within an hour my edges were all over the place again. It just holds it down for a lil while and it leaves your edges oily afterwards and sometimes it flakes. The Got2b glue doesn’t work either nor the gorilla snot. Just flakes everywhere

Water is what you use to remove got2b. Without water, got2b stiffens and keeps the hair in place. When you add Water, it dissolves got2b and turns it white which allows the lace to slide out of your hair. This isn’t a fair review because you added water (a dissolvent) to got2b (a dissolvable substance) which prevents it from holding and executing the function that you desired. So, Got2b actually did it’s job. I wouldn’t want ppl thinking it can’t potentially work for them if the use it properly for that purpose. Maybe you should try the G2B on your hair without water. I’m not knocking Ebin, because I love it too lol! I’m just saying you used one product in its functionality and outside of its functionality. The plane was not leveled unless you were testing to see which one works better in water specifically. Wonderful review, however! Very thorough

I learned from other RUclipsrs that I should use a combination of products for my short coarse edges. Lately I use in this order, water, Jamaican black castor oil, let's jam, Murray's edge wax black lid... If I tie it up it holds for a couple hours depending on the climate. If I need to refresh, I add water and tie it up again. Got 2b is too drying for me. The finish looks dull. Your hair looks great though! Thanks for sharing!

@@PsychGirlRaven my hair loves it. It's a very thick and heavy oil so it keeps my coarse hair from breaking. I always mist my hair with water first and then use oil. Maybe it does the opposite if you have more fine hair. Not sure

No joke ebin is the best and note for those starting grey around the edges the ebin now comes in colour to die out the grey. So Very impressed with this product.

I have no idea why my edges of all areas of my head are the toughest/nappiest, but I haaaate it. Its the reason why I can never have any truly "played and laid" hairstyles; the rest of my hair will lay down, but my edges go up with an instant as if someone casted a spell on them. Ebin does work for me, but just not during the summer because I sweat from my scalp too much and then all the edge control just melts down my damn forehead.

If you use both the Ebin New York edge control first and then put the BLACK got 2 b glued gel on top, your edges will stay ALL day, humidity proof and all (no flakes)

Why do I find the before pic of your edges oh so beautiful? Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the straight hair, but 4c hair in its (raw) natural state makes me weak in the knees, especially when it's thick as yours. You say course, I say beautiful. I so love it.

Thanks for the upload...Awesome. You stated that your hair was course. Have tried sleeping with moisturizing conditioner on hair to help soften the texture? I like Matrix and OGX. Once the hair is saturated with the conditioner, I put on a plastic bag, wrap the bag with Saran Wrap, and wrap a towel around my head to keep the heat inside. Initially, I did this every two weeks. Be careful, you hair will become to soft if you over do. A protein conditioner , like Mizani, worked for me.

If you're going to use got2b on your edges, you'd get sleek results by mixing it with another gel or a wax. I have 4b hair and when I use that, I first put beeswax on my hair (a thin amount) then I use a tiny bit of eco styler gel mixed with the got2b and then lay it down with a scarf. That works for me so I think you'll like it too!

My fave was at 1:37 because you have very nicely shaped eyebrows and your eyelids are perfect for eyeshadow, not everybody has that and so to me any hair going forward on the face is distracting from the eyes.

It's the water with the got 2 be glue it releases the hold of it. Your edges have to be dry for it to hold. You have to put it on your edges and rub it till you edges are smooth then put a scarf. But I'm looking for something else cuz that that got 2 be can get really hard. So I'll be trying that ebin thanks.
