I run a museum primarily dedicated to Canadian artillery gaving heen an Instructor-in-Gunnery in the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery for 44 years. We fire blanks from a number of our cannon. I would love to see a detailed video on how you prepare and fire your blanks. As we say in Québec, "Salut!" Mike 🫡😁👍👍🍁🍁🍁
Excellent video! I am surprised about how much is manually operated on this vehicle! Do you guys have any manuals for the gun? I stumbled upon an incomplete one + mantlet here in the US that was mislabeled as a 25 pounder for some reason and I would like to clean it up
@@fargmotorpool I haven't gotten to pick it up yet, but my usual when getting an aquisition like this is trying to dissassemble (inevitably) frozen parts, clean off corrosion and reoil/grease to prevent any further degradation. I was hoping to ask about the breech mechanism and likely the recoil cylinders etc when that happens if you wouldn't mind.
Nice to see a channel that's restoring French armour seeing videos about Centurion, Chieftain, and Challenger gets kinda old after a while.
Thanks for another amazing video 😁👍
My pleasure 😊

Hi Mike - we don't use 'blanks' per se... it's all cinemagraphic magic! (smoke and mirrors) ;-)

Yes I have a manual in french or spanish - I can't sell as I need them. What do you need to know?

At which French military base did you find the Peugeot P4s?
I can't comment as its commercially sensitive.
