i hate the fact that i have curly hair in front but the back of my head is like wavy and straight(ish)
I started using products for curly hair and chopped off about 3 inches of my hair and in the past month the back of my head is becoming more curlier so maybe it’s damaged

im so dissappointed bc I have 2c-3b hair when i have bangs, and when my hair was long it was around 2b (it was rlly long), so i cut it, and now all of the hair that isn't bangs is like 1c/2a!! i think theres like a "bend line" or something, so I cut my hair too short and cut off the area where my hair starts curling!!
You have to cut it shorter and either finger coil or use a "denman brush"(any brand will work) to train your curls

Curly hair products are made for all curly hair types, it all depends on what you're looking for though, so read the labels. For example, if you feel you need more moisture make sure it says it add moisture to your hair. If you have low porosity you can check it's made for those with low porosity and any of your other needs etc.

I love your videos, but as a hairstylist who specializes in naturally curly hair the texture numbers are not accurate. Maya is more of a 3A and Claudia is more of a 2 texture

I have the same hair time as Maya. I use Carol's Daughter Almond Milk line. My hair is poppin ever since I started using it. Usually when I finish I use the Aussie Moisture line. If i don't rotate between the 2 my hair will be oily at the scalp and dry af at the ends.

Also use some oils in ur hair like maraculla oil( passionfruit ) or coconut oil, cocoa bean oil and argan oil. Those are good too in the winter or all the time when ur hair really is dry of if u want to grow it you can massage it into ur roots a day to have that replenished feel from your dry hair

I'm Caucasian with sliiiightly wavy hair, but my husband is Venezuelan with very textured/curly hair and our daughter got gorgeous curls from her daddy! 😍 So, I'm definitely keeping an eye out for good curly girl products for when she gets older - and I loved finding out about these brands! 🙌

Most curly products are catered towards black or mixed black/white people. So this is helpful to find something specific for Hispanic curly girlies. I feel bad for my half Dominican daughter and what she will have to endure. I find her hair beautiful. She gets teased by white kids for being “exotic looking “and also by Mexican American children for not having straight hair. 😢. I’ve been keeping up with her hair using the AVEDA curly line. Which is pretty amazing but it can get expensive. Ngl

@perolike Girls with ur curly hair, I have curlyyyy haiiir so a few good products for hydrating ur hair and moisturizing ur hair is breogio, coco and eve, Cantu, Aussi, It’s a 10, Verb? Etc. For me personally and my family with curly hair those are some good products. Btw different stores sell them for different prices so check the different ones. I use amazon cause I find that the cheapest

It drives me nuts that people use so many skin and hair products. I use nothing but water, and a wooden comb as well as a bone comb. Thats all I really need to be honest. All this, "My hair needs moisture" to me sounds like "Products arent working for my hair!"
To be fair, it took a lot of effort and manipulation to get my body adapted to water only. And hard water makes it even more difficult, as it makes your natural thin and light sebum hard, thick, crusty, white and gross. I dont like hard water.

Ok I got 2 questions:
1. How can I find what type of hair I have? I see people saying 3b and whatnot.
2. Which product helped best with hydration? My hair is kind of in between wavy and curly, tira más al lado de wavy. But it is mad dry and it is so hard to find a product to use after I wash it to keep it moisturized.
I Googled 'types of curly hair' and found a curly hair guide.
Basically, 2a is barely wavy, 2b long loose waves, 2c smaller close together waves. The 3abc section is for hair that spirals/curls and 4abc is very tight curls/kinky hair.
Look for products that have no sulfates, parabens, or silicone. Personally the brands I like are Pacifica Pineapple Curls line, Not Your Daughters Curl Talk line, Shea Moisture coconut hair mask (very moisturizing). Cantu styling products are great as well.

Thank you! Right now I'm using the Cantu products. I use the leave on conditioner and on top of it the cream for curls but Idk if it's the humidity or what but after a day a few areas look dry lol. Gonna have to try some of the other ones you mentioned.
