This is the exact model I ordered a couple weeks back that I should be getting in about a week. As a recommendation for your performance part, you should run some benchmark tests, and also compare it with other laptop benchmarks you have reviewed. That would be really useful. Not all laptops that have the "same" processor specifications run the same, some with lower may even run better than higher spec-ed mods. Different brands use different cooling and power management setups that can give surprising results. It would really up your channels level of review for laptops. Nice review otherwise.

They're more or less identical. AMD does better in some games. Iris XE does better in other games. Just check game by game comparisons to figure out which chip will be best for you. But for the most part, you will likely not be able to tell a difference between the two. I still recommend going AMD though as they're more experienced in integrated graphics (quality ones) and generally cheaper as well.

Bro, I'm about to buy this laptop but before I'll buy it, i have a question and maybe you can answer it since you already own one. How many RAM slots the laptop has? And Is it possible to upgrade or change it in the future?
Thanks in advance man!
@@davidvillada1657 16gb ram and 512gb ssd ram not upgradable but 16gb enough for all works and 1 hdd empty slot ,ssd upgradable upto 2tb in same 512gb slot by removing, battery backup upto 8 to 10 hours in normal use
Which is better? Acer Aspire 5 or IdeaPad 5? Both same specs, and very similar price in my country.
how can you tell that it has only 56% srgb? I have ryzen 7 5700u 14 inch version but i have 99% srgb based on my tests
it's weird, this video says 56%, another video says 60% and a random webpage i've just opened says 100%
How is the quality of display
Is this lenovo laptop better than Asus S14 S433? Hope you can help me in choosing. Thank you!
Does it have extra ssd slots or any upgrades that i can do?
Hi! Which is better for a computer engineering student? Lenovo ideaPad Slim 5 - Ryzen 7 5700U with Integrated AMD Radeon Graphics or Lenovo Gaming 3 - Ryzen 5 4600H with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4gb GDDRC.
Thank you!
Depends are you just coding or is there a graphical aspect as well?
Hello SoulOfTech. I was looking for a laptop to be used for college (civil engineering). The same exact unit and specs at the video vs. and acer nitro 5 with intel i5 11300H GTX1650, which one would you prefer?
How is the wifi card, cuz I got the ideapad 3 in 2018 and the wifi range was not good. Also, the wifi would disconnect quite often as well. is the wifi card for the laptop wifi 6?
Hi this laptop is using Wifi AX (6) so it should be pretty good.
I'm unsure of which to get, compared to Lenovo Ideapad3 with Intel i5 1135G7 (Iris XE Graphics) 1TB HDD + 256 SSD which do you think is better?
trust me get the one with the Ryzen processor!
Should I buy this or HP Pavilian eg0104TX?
Bro one dout plz reply me na?

@@SoulOfTech tq bro
Would you recomend this for a software developer?
Hi in the configuration I reviewed for sure!
what your opinion on ideapad 3 15 ryzen 7 16GB RAM ? is it the same ?
Your review was good but from the next video onward add the pricing of the laptop too
Hi thanks for watching!
Pricing is mentioned right in the beginning at 0:32. You can also find it in pricing and summary chapter as well. Cheers!
Would you recommend it for software engineers ( web development on linux )?
Did you choose something? I am looking for a laptop for same reasons
Would you suggest me one laptop under 800$ ? I am so much confused
How is the viewing angle of this laptop?
Does it have secondary ssd slot to install another nvme ssd?
according to lenovo it has 1 m.2 slot and 1 slot for a 2.5" HDD up to 5400
Single or dual chanel?
lenovo Ideapad 5 or lenovo Yoga Slim 7 or Acer Swift 3 or MSI modren 14?
In terms of battery, keyboard and everything, knowing that the specifications are similar in terms of processor and RAM
i have this laptop with 8gb ram variant and everything you said was completely true i just have one issue..i cant find graphics info ...everywhere online it shows vega7/8 graphics but no matter how many tutorials i execute or use app every time it shows AMD READEON(TM) GRAPHICS. Pls help me confirm about the graphics.
THANK YOU!!
that is the graphics
@@hogeon2227 😊😂
Would you recommend this computer to those who have to take it to college everyday?
Its got plenty of power! So yes as long as you dont need a high sRGB rating.
this is not a complete review. a review should include upgradability section wher you open the back of the lacptop. you should take notes from Matthew Moniz channel or the Andrew Marc David channel, OwnOrDisown channel and TechTablets channel.
Thanks for your honest feedback!
What are the other better mid range laptops at this price range? Are their any 15 inch laptops at this price range that have better diaplays?
Hi the Dell Inspiron 5510.
Is the graphics performance comparable with Core i5 or core i7 Iris Xe ?
It comes very close, the Iris XE is still slightly better. Although the AMD chip runs much cooler.
Check with i7 xe gaming review vs 5700u bro. Amd is better in gpu terms
Hello, I'm looking to buy this laptop but with r5 5500u and 8gb of ram, my biggest issue is I heard that it's 8gb of ram are soldered and can't be upgraded. Can you confirm this because having 8gb of ram forever without having an option to upgrade in the future is a deal breaker for me. Thank you in advance.
Yes ot is soldered
Which ideapad 5 would you recommend? The ryzen 7 5700u or the i5-1165g7?
Go for ryzen dude
@@mohamedaadil2073 thanks!
The Ryzen variants run much cooler
@@SoulOfTech oh wow. Would the ryzen be better as well for some casual gaming? Thank you for your reviews! Keep up the good work!

Which one do you prefer between Lenovo ideapad 3 and lenovo ideapad 5?
They are different models with different prices and specs configs. Id advise watching the reviews on both to see which one fits your needs better.
@@SoulOfTech i have already.

I think the battery life is not accurate. Just check it with an online simple game. It lasted only 2-Hrs?
is this laptop good for autocad and matlab use?
Is there a lock slot for security cable? How do you secure it physically?
How is the performance for 4k editing?
Hi, please refer to 6:46
Is the integrated graphics card able to record average quality on really light games such as game boy emulators or Minecraft on low settings?
Yeah, you'll be fine for stuff like that. You may even be able to bump the settings up on Minecraft a little bit
should i buy this laptop with 8gb. i’m a freshman of digital marketing. is it enough? tks for your video.
Are you using any specific software that has special requirements?
Are the specification enough for AutoCAD 2017?
I would say so!
Which parts are metallic and which are plastic? Or is it same magnesium chassis as Lenovo ThinkPads?
Hi, upper lid, sides and inner chassis are aluminum alloy. The bottom is hard TPU.
Hi, how about amd ryzen 7 5700u vs intel core i7-1165g7? Both lenovo.
hey man , is this laptop plastic or metal alumnium ?
Hi friend, you can find all those details in the design section of the video :)
Is dell inspiron 5502 i5 11th gen better or Lenevo ideapad ryzen 7 5700u?
hi, is it still worth it in 2023 for 700 euros?
How long does it take to charge?
Ideapad flex 5 ryzen 7 5700u 16gb or yoga 7i i5 11gen 8gb, which should I buy? Thanks in advance :)

Hello i just need help im gettin this laptop for softwarw engineering is it ok for codin and all?
Bro
You don’t have an affiliate link?
Sadly no, haven’t made it Lenovo’s list yet :(
Bro is this good for programming, web development and designing?
It is quite questinable thing that ryzen 7 version is pricier than ryzer 5 which is makes sense in some point but, ryzer 5 version has pen included which ryzer 7 doesn't have. Why they decide to cut off pen from the peoduct when it is touch screen....
i wonder how the backlight bleed/IPS glow problem is on these 2021 models , i tested the 17inch version with a 5500u in it last week and it again had horrible IPS glow
I'm sure there's no 17" Ideapad 5, and the severity of IPS Glow or Backlight Bleed will vary between the individual laptops themselves.
@@GamerBoy705_ytsorry it was An ideapad 3 17inch
How many RAM does it have? Can it be upgraded?
It comes with either 8GB or 16GB of RAM. They're soldered with no slots available for expansion, so get the 16GB RAM variants if you can.
Today I went to best buy mississauga to buy Lenovo IdeaPad 5 amdryzen7 5300u But it is out of stock. Online and offline. Shoul I wait for it to get in stock or buy any other my budget is under 1100. Dollar. Suggest any plz. No gaming laptop plz
Thank you! But how about fan noise when the machine has to work?
I have this laptop and it is completely quiet when running basic operations such as a web browser, running games may add to the sound but if you wear headphones you wouldn't hear the fan at all, it's still very quiet anyways.
