In comics anakins force ghost did go to Leia and tried to apologize but she wasn't having it and rejected him and told him she would never forgive him for what he did to her planet, Anakin tried to tell her this was the last they could ever speak and she rejected and left him it was only later on in time did she learn to forgive her father and kept his original lightsaber

It sounds SO MUCH like a Harry Nilsson song, but after Googling I can only conclude it was a sound bite created by the Robot Chicken crew so they did not need to license a full song.
