4:15 this is clarified actually. They use G Corp's Singularity (Gravity Orbs I think?) to manipulate the weight of objects and make them lighter. This allows people to manufacture weapons that are as large as tank cannons, whilst being as light as a butterknife. It's pretty neat, and makes a lot of sense Good video though!
And body enchacements and procedures Library of Ruína Clarifies that Fizeram are not normal people because they do surgeries tô increase speed, strentgh letting them be able to Wield massive Weapon with ease
@Noname-mi1oo Maybe not as the Boatworks Fixers, but as the Molar Office they more than likely had the funds to get some good Workshop gear. Ezra got their hands on such Singularity-infused weapons in Distortion Detective (their Gloves), and they were around the same Grade as Olga at Grade 5. I doubt they got much funding as the Distortion Detective either, with the work they do, so I doubt the Gravity-Orb-Infused Workshop Weapons would be so expensive. This leads me to believe that Molar Office could, more than likely, afford such gear as well. Hell, having such a status that you get contracts from Wings like R Corp would probably mean you get some rich contracts. Why wouldn't they buy that kinda gear as a combat office anyways?
I swear, I say Dieci Rodion's name wrong on PURPOSE, it's for a bit I swear haha haha... ALSO Olga Outis’ Skill 3 actually discards from every slot, I didn’t mention this because I thought it worked like every other discard skill. This mostly only matters in solo, but it’s important to note regardless. There’s also plenty of comments below here that elaborate on how insight works in terms of gaining shield, so thank you to everyone for the corrections!
If I remember correctly, the insight does not change immediately, so if you have 1 insight and discard a skill 2 and skill 3 you get 10% and 20% shield respectively then the insight changes. This means that if you discard a skill 1 after a skill 3 it gives 15% shield then insight becomes 1. So, to get 60% shield you have discard 2 skill 3's in a row. Well, insight is the highest value discard that turn, so you don't actually, have to discard 2 in a row, just 2 in the same turn or well-timed discards.
Honestly i just like Discard for the fact that it allows a slightly more interesting playstyle, it makes me genuinely excited that we'll have some IDs that are good without relying on "unga bunga me roll 32"
One thing probably worth mentioning is that to actually get the full effect of Outis' passive and 60 extra damage, you need 70 tremor potency on the enemy, which is pretty crazy. I'm not even sure it's realistically feasible or useful in the game's current state since the devs seem to loathe giving Tremor any actual numbers right now. It's usually better to simply ignore the tremor mechanics and to just run her normally.
LCCB Ishy and Rosespanner Rodya alone can get that on an enemy in around 4-5 turns (By my quick estimation), sped up with BoatClair's support passive if you build around it, which isn't nearly as quick as the sinking gang but not unfeasible in abno fights (Especially in Mirror Dungeon), but her passive doesn't just activate at that 70 potency, her damage is constantly increasing as your building up your tremor to that 70 which should also be considered.
As someone who loves Tremor and runs it pretty often, even in MD2H... It's feasible. I do it in a lot of bosses that takes a bit more of time and if you get LCCB Ishmael, you should be able to do it. It need you to be smart with it, but well, it's fun to be strategic on the game!
Great video as usual, but just wanted to clairify something at 3:09. Molar Outis' skill 3 does in fact discard ALL skills from all her skill slots. You can see this more easily by using a skill 3 first in the turn, or using it with every other skill used that turn being skill 1s.
Thanks for explaining how discard actually works, turns out I had it all wrong. Seriously, you're doing great work, thank you for being a part of the community.
Something must be going on with Outis, because I swear in MD2 she ends up getting more Skill 1s than any other ID I've ever had. In the couple of weeks we've had her, I've noticed 8 separate occasions where her 2 skill slots (I often put her in 1st position) were filled entirely with Skill 1s. Fuckin 4 skill 1s just crowding it up and making that turn practically worthless for her. I'm pretty she her skill 3 discarding everything ends up messing everything up afterwards. Edit: Dang, I never thought to use Rodion's defend strat on Outis as well to avoid the above issue, I also didn't realize that the 1 offense up was so shit so I'll avoid doing that from now on.
Something to note about [On Use] effect on defensive skills for the discard IDs. Discard effect happens on actual use. Meaning Sinners needs to get hit, for Guards in this case only, to activate. Unlike lets say N Sinclair whose Guard effect is [Combat Start]. While Dieci laughs cause she can take a hit, Yi Sang and Outis are not laughing. So in scenario of 2 x S1 for both Molars and you wanting to discard one of them, better make sure they are getting hit otherwise discard won't activate and Molars just spent turn doing nothing.
skill 1 is mostly filler, but some people need if depending on the ego economy, r corp heath needs his skill 1 on me to get wrath outside of the liu hong lu skill 3, and hong needs skill 1 for gloom aside from kurokumo gregor skill 3
One thing that I feel the need to clarify about Molar Outis support passive is that an ID must already have tremor for its effect to trigger. This means that Spicebush's s2 AoE can't be activated any sooner because he won't gain any benefit on turn 1. It also encourages you to make sure you end your turns with at least 2 tremor, otherwise you will miss out on the benefits from the passive. I've said it before, but I find it amusing how the gameplay changes between Limbus and Ruina has essentially reversed the effects of discard. In Ruina discard was mostly a "negative" effect, in that you were paying a price (losing cards) to gain some sort of powerful effect (although this price could be mitigated with key pages). However because Limbus has a fixed "hand size" and "cards" (skills) are automatically replaced, discard is instead a positive tool to cycle your deck.
18:50 One annoyance with MO Outis's support passive is that when it gives the +1 Tremor Count gain effect, it prioritizes whoever currently has the highest Tremor Count. This means that until an ID actually has any Tremor Count on themselves before the turn starts, then it will just give it to a random ID. That means that unless you luck out or if they are the only ID in the battle, you will need to use one self-tremor skill before you can start gaining the buff from that passive.
I think my hottest take I've got is that Molar Ishmael and SpiceBush Yi Sang are, effectively, charge IDs.. but I disagree with the notion that self-tremor as a whole is the same as charge. That might be the case for someone like molar outis and molar yi sang, but Molar Sinclair actually utilizes the fact that it's tremor. When using his skill 3 under 10 tremor count, which isn't difficult if you don't give him multiple skill slots, he deals extra damage whilst also bursting tremor on himself. He can do some really good nuke damage if you choose to be super risky with him, and while I wouldn't call it viable, it still works as a punishment for not using tremor correctly and actually does what self-tremor should do; Be a risk in exchange for a reward. And much like other tremor units, Molar Sinclair's main purpose is spreading Tremor and he gives so much Tremor Count that stuff like "Reduce Tremor Count by 1/2/3/4" is completely meaningless if you bring him along. It's actually insane. So, I think calling it Charge isn't necessarily fair.. but I do agree that besides Molar Sinclair, it's used almost exactly as if it were charge, and that makes me sad. The risk-reward potential seems much more interesting, and it'll only get more interesting as more tremor enemies are added.
Ooh, I'm glad I watched this video, the defense to save skill trick is something I've been hearing about but needed to see in practice in order to actually understand, that gives discard IDs even more versatility in how you play them, more choice to the player in a game that's relatively pretty simple, adding that little bit of extra depth is really cool. Discard has been really fun, Dieci Rodion has quickly become one of my favorite units, looks amazing and plays amazing and manages to be a successful tank, and having another good 00 ID is always welcome. And as always, it's a joy watching these videos, the script is both informative and funny and the visuals help greatly, consuming this content really helps while the game currently has a content drought. Really looking forward to seeing the RR2 worst IDs video.
the fixer weapon yi sang has isn’t plastic, fixers can get body augmentations that can massively amplify physical strength - this is noted in an early game book in LoR, but Distortion Detective also features a grade 1 fixer that decapitates a kurokumo clan leader with his bare fist in less than a second (because she extinguished a cigarette on his car’s side mirrors)
One annoyance I have with Dieci Rodya is that if you happen to have a skill 1 alongside a skill 2 or 3, you're discouraged from using the skill 2 or 3 since your Insight would drop down to 1, which in turn would give her less shield and make her skill 1 roll lower. Thanks for sharing this amazing strategy with us!
6:17 The only way I'd ever consider reducing Tremor count on a skill good is the day when enemies have self-tremor effects just like the Molars and Spicebush Yi Sang. Until then, hot garbage.
New ESGOO video notifications shine a light into the void. The moment I got Dieci Rodya I immediately sent her into the solo mirror dungeon insanity spiral (as a sign of love I assure you,) further solidifying my opinion that Shock Centipede is absolutely the better pick for RR2 over Brazen Bull (I've seen that fucker hit 60 damage per attack against blunt resistant characters)
9:23 The only reason I'd see they make that Insight x % HP clause instead of a flat number is if the "last skill that was discarded" in the description is meant to be more like "previous skill that was discarded." So when discarding Excruciating Study before discarding Illuminate Thy Vacuity, the calculation for the shield from Illuminate Thy Vacuity would be 3 x 5% Max HP and then the Insight is set to 1 afterward.
You know, unrelated to the actual discard mechanic discussion, but still related to discard. Wouldn't it be cool to have a Xiao ID that "Burns" (discards) your other skills to inflict burn.
As for Discard being the reason why RR2 limited skill slots, I personally believe it's because the final boss would be a total joke if you could solo it with extra slots (you can still solo with just 1 with some IDs)
Omg that Rodion defense tech segment is so insightful, gotta level her up ASAP! Also, I LOVE how Outis wobbled into her segment with Tipsy status over her head. :D
[2:52] I do have to agree with this wording being just a little misleading. I think a clearer way to phrase it would be "Discard one Skill of the lowest rank *BETWEEN* all of this unit's Slots." That would make it more obvious that while it checks every single Skill Slot when considering Skills to Discard, it ultimately Discards only one Skill that fits the condition.
Hey! First of all nice video, Second : i am the guy that complained about the pronunciation of Dieci in the last one, and i can now 100% say that your pronunciation of Dieci in this one is flawless! so you get to keep your kneecaps (and a like and bell) (Mine was such a petty complaint ao thank you for actually trying btw)
Hiding skills under defensive skills looks like a bug they once had with... 'discarding' the skills when the defensive skill remained in the dashboard at the end of the turn. They will probably either fix it by considering those skills anyway for discarding or make the defensive skills 'stick' like EGO skills.
All 3 of them are very good ids. However I will say that they do have limitations, while it's true that Dieci rodion really benefits from having multiple skill slots, she competes with other ids that also like having a second skill slot like all the charge ids (especially W ryoshu) and self tremor ids like Spicebush yi sang, molar ishmael and Molar outis. In tough human fights like MD2H 4th and 5th floor she struggles because she can't roll higher than 15. But where she really shines imo is in focused fights since as you said, she likes taking and inflicting unopposed attacks making her a better sunshower heathcliff. She also has perfect sin generation since she fuels her own rime shank as well as fluid sac and sunshower. Unfortunately I wasn't able to gauge her true potential in RR2 as she served as a rime shank bot and was perma negative SP. It's about the same for Molar Outis, she really likes having a second skill slot because without it, it's impossible to fulfill the condition on her S3, at least on its first rotation. Unfortunately most fights end before she can see a second S3 pop up. Currently the only format that could last long enough for this condition to be fulfilled is RR2 or multi waves story fights. With that being said, I will keep using them in MD2H and coming content because it feels good to finally have some strong blunt units other than N sinclair and Liu/Reindeer Ishmael considering 70% of the enemies are weak to it
i did not know about the preview of the next skill to be loaded into the chainable dashboard... after watching this i went and looked and, they're crazy faint and hard to read on mobile lmao
...TIL there was a semi transparent line of skills behind the selectable two.........I thought you guys were all just doing some weird maths to figure out what skills you had...
Huh. And here I was thinking that the reason they removed extra skill slots is because it would be a nightmare to balance with respect to Sign of Roses.
I love molar yi sang but that S3... It looks like it should have one more coin on it, or at least be extended a little. Not stat wise, animation wise. Everytime i use it i feel like im getting blue balled. I think its because its similar to queeqliff's Snagharpoon, where he'll pick the enemy up and flick them away at the end, where yi sang picks them up and thats just... It.
recently get dieci rodions, I got to say, the real winner of discard is the funny spice man, not only did he able to nuke easier (because rodions finally have a sink id now), he also able to do s2 aoe much faster (because outism), and I found that annoying, because I do not have spice yi sang yet, and he will disappear for a whole ass season.
I'm a bit surprised you only mentioned Outis discarding her S2 gives her a 3% damage boost. I definitely agree it's a weak effect overall, but Offense level doesn't only determine attack damage, it also determines clash power. Most Id's get their offense level up after a clash or after a hit, so her getting hers before the clash starts means she could use it to potentially get an extra clash power in some situations. Combine it with Yi Sang's defense level down from his passive, and I suspect PM wanted the two to combo together, giving more clashing power when they are used together without just slapping a boring old "Gain +1 power when X" effect on them. Though, Yi Sang's S3 has two separate On Use effects, whereas Outis only has one, which is a strange decision. Yi Sang can get to 6 count, then use S3 to discard and get the coin power boost, but Outis needs to be at 10 count already when S3 is used. I'm not sure if that's meant to be a slight "nerf" to Outis, that she needs a bit more setup since she has a higher maximum potential with her S3, or maybe given how her S3 specifically targets her S2, it was meant to make her S3 more sorta kinda maybe technically be like a +6/7 level skill without breaking their "+5 level is the max" rule? Who knows... Honestly, I'm most confused about wtf is going on lorewise. Is she *actually* Olga from LoR in this alt universe? Does that mean she was moments away from getting Love Towned? In this alt-universe, are they still actively dealing with the Library or is this like the R Corp Id's and it's actually years later with them just being the newest generation? But if that's the case, does that mean Outis just came across the old Molar office and decided "this is mine now" and Olga's out there somewhere getting drunk with no idea her old office was stolen? I need the lore PM, don't just tease me like this...
I considered mentioning the clashing potential, but honestly, if you’re firing that skill off with 10+ tremor count, you rarely need the clash. Either way…yeah the design is certainly a little weird. I’m also fairly certain this is straight up just Olga. She mentions a contract from a friend, Myo, that she is going to go take care of. The uptie story implies it is right before the events of what we play in Ruina, as…kinda weird as that is. Maybe I’m wrong about that though, but it really seems like Outis is straight up Olga, and Yi Sang is straight up Rain.
yeah, molar fixer outis and yi sang are olga and rain right before ruina, and molar *boatworks* fixer ishmael and sinclair are olga and rain in more or less present day, after being ejected from the library and waking up on the coast.
Remeber, altho die rodion has sinking synergy, she has a INSANE amount of coins on her skills, so you need to be very careful with her burning through sinking count, her skill 2 is bearly worth using due to you needing 5 or more count to be able to use it without burning through your sinking My favorite use for her is her ability to switch on demand from a sinking focused id to a pure clash damage ID with relative ease, which is great for content like railway as it lets you have a dual use id with good clashing and decent sinking
I know it's probably said as a joke cause it's funny, but Yi sang wields it most likely by having some simple strength augmentation on him. They are seamless and don't even give the impression someone has them.
Question on Dieci mechanics, when do the "When Discarded" effects check the insight to determine Shield gained? How the wording looked to me was that Insight updated at the end of the turn so that the skills that used it could actually get some interesting play (discard Skill 3 before a big attack turn so that Rodion gets to not worry too much about incoming damage with a bunch of shield). So how the checks went through my head were something like: >Use Discard skill >Discarded Skill checks Insight for value >Insight updates count (or maybe at end of turn as it doesn't seem to update during combat?) (PM is cool and awesome, yes [clueless]). Do I understand that wrong? Because that's the only reason to have that wording on the skill and I have had times I Discarded Skill 3 and got fuck all on my shield.
If you ask me, on Molar Outis, it's better to discard the s2 with s3 and use s1/Guard when s1 wall comes just to get more Tremor Count and faster s3, especially if next skill on the line is s2
Hey, I honestly love the content, but could I request one thing? I've noticed your skill descriptions don't really have anywhere that indicates how many coins are used in the skill. Which is fine, we can work backwards to find out the coin coint, but it makes it hard to tell the value of something like "if X, +2 coin power" at a glance.
9:30 Turns out, you are missing something, as it uses the insight BEFORE you discard it, so if you have 3 insight and discard a skill 1, you get 3 x 5 = 15% max hp, then go to 1 insight
A good pun is just bad pun but on purpose I have no idea why they feel the need to cap Outis passive with both % and 20 cap. One should be enough tbh so her passive is just meh.
In my best rr2 run Dieci Rodya did the 2nd highest damage only below Wryoushu, and I didn't even bring her to every fight unlike Wdon and Rheath whom I did. This ID is crazy.
Question, does Molar Outis' support passive actually give Spice Yi Sang a 2 turn AOE Skill 2? I've been trying it in Mirror Dungeon and even when the passive is live, Yi Sang always gains 3/6 Tremor when he has no Tremor. It's only when he has tremor that he gains an extra tremor from the passive. I think it's how the passive is worded, "an ally with the most tremor gains an extra count", since no one at the beginning has any tremor, no one gains access to the passive?
On the first turn, it should be dependent on RNG who it will hit, since the highest tremor count ID is every ID technically. So for absolute optimal speed strategies in railway, I believe you just reset until the passive hits him. It’s a little unfortunate, but that’s how it goes.
@@therealESGOO Thanks for the reply! That is definitely upsetting, since the point of taking the passive is to be able to set up a turn 2 AOE. Love your videos, keep it up :3
if you play dieci rodion good and have enough slot you can do skill 1 resonance when insight 3 for 7+11+15 damage then use skill 2-3 and defense skill to cycle to insight 3 epic dps also very tanky
I can’t wait for my pet Peccatulum Irae to start discarding!

Honestly I pronounce dieci the same way as yours too :b

Completely fair. I literally looked up how to pronounce it. Did it correctly a few times, then reverted back to completely wrong.

Looks like ESGOO is still traumatized by Charge.
You know, unrelated to the actual discard mechanic discussion, but still related to discard. Wouldn't it be cool to have a Xiao ID that "Burns" (discards) your other skills to inflict burn.
Honestly, I think xiao will be a self-burn Id. Like with self tremor, she’ll use burn on self as charge. Maybe she’ll manifest ego at enough burn
As for Discard being the reason why RR2 limited skill slots, I personally believe it's because the final boss would be a total joke if you could solo it with extra slots (you can still solo with just 1 with some IDs)
Skill cycling is back, baby!
Omg that Rodion defense tech segment is so insightful, gotta level her up ASAP!
Also, I LOVE how Outis wobbled into her segment with Tipsy status over her head. :D
Wait. You're telling me there's a better way to play the game that isn't just Unga to the Bunga?
I have been waiting for someone to explain this, THANK YOU!!!!
[2:52] I do have to agree with this wording being just a little misleading. I think a clearer way to phrase it would be "Discard one Skill of the lowest rank *BETWEEN* all of this unit's Slots."
That would make it more obvious that while it checks every single Skill Slot when considering Skills to Discard, it ultimately Discards only one Skill that fits the condition.
Omg that op actually made me think it was one of those old league adds
Hey! First of all nice video,
Second : i am the guy that complained about the pronunciation of Dieci in the last one, and i can now 100% say that your pronunciation of Dieci in this one is flawless! so you get to keep your kneecaps (and a like and bell)
(Mine was such a petty complaint ao thank you for actually trying btw)
I feel like I just aquiered some forbiden knoledge about mantaining 3 insight on rodion all time
Hiding skills under defensive skills looks like a bug they once had with... 'discarding' the skills when the defensive skill remained in the dashboard at the end of the turn.
They will probably either fix it by considering those skills anyway for discarding or make the defensive skills 'stick' like EGO skills.
I hope they don't honestly lol
That base ID video will be 🔥
also, btw molar outis support passive only activates if the unit already has tremor count so you can't have spicebush t2 aoe s2
13:20 holy... best limbus advice ever!
Do dieci Yi-Sang and Hong Lu work the same way?
how in the hell did i fall for the skip ad button at the start?
yeah im distorting
I am downloading Limbus rn.
i Am NOT A TRUE PM FAN WITHOUT LIMBUS
I pray that the title doesn't get change because it gives me pain
I love watching Dieci Rodion's skill 1.
Just oonga boonga punching them.
...TIL there was a semi transparent line of skills behind the selectable two.........I thought you guys were all just doing some weird maths to figure out what skills you had...
Huh. And here I was thinking that the reason they removed extra skill slots is because it would be a nightmare to balance with respect to Sign of Roses.
every day esgoo uploads is a blessed day 🙏 easily the top tier limbus company content creator rn
It.
Man i really don't get how the skill deck inself works in limbus qas expecting this video to help me understand it
recently get dieci rodions, I got to say, the real winner of discard is the funny spice man, not only did he able to nuke easier (because rodions finally have a sink id now), he also able to do s2 aoe much faster (because outism), and I found that annoying, because I do not have spice yi sang yet, and he will disappear for a whole ass season.
Get to grinding
Wow! A detailed guide to discarding!
..
I dont know how it works still.
Remeber, altho die rodion has sinking synergy, she has a INSANE amount of coins on her skills, so you need to be very careful with her burning through sinking count, her skill 2 is bearly worth using due to you needing 5 or more count to be able to use it without burning through your sinking
My favorite use for her is her ability to switch on demand from a sinking focused id to a pure clash damage ID with relative ease, which is great for content like railway as it lets you have a dual use id with good clashing and decent sinking
Meh i just oogabooga her
I know it's probably said as a joke cause it's funny, but Yi sang wields it most likely by having some simple strength augmentation on him.
So how the checks went through my head were something like:
>Use Discard skill
>Discarded Skill checks Insight for value
>Insight updates count (or maybe at end of turn as it doesn't seem to update during combat?) (PM is cool and awesome, yes [clueless]).
Do I understand that wrong? Because that's the only reason to have that wording on the skill and I have had times I Discarded Skill 3 and got fuck all on my shield.
That charge slander should not be tolerated!
If you ask me, on Molar Outis, it's better to discard the s2 with s3 and use s1/Guard when s1 wall comes just to get more Tremor Count and faster s3, especially if next skill on the line is s2
If Dieci Rodion has the second most coins, who has the first most? Rabbit Heath?
So that's how you actually utilize Dieci Rodya's Insight...
I gotta learn this for MD2 solo :)))
Tbh cant wait till they bring back more ruina mechanics like singleton or smoke into limbus. Like fr i wanna see how they handle that
I'm still hoping we get a ego uptie tierlist
16000 Lunacy??? What the fuck ESGOO why is it so EXPENSIVE???
Hey, I honestly love the content, but could I request one thing? I've noticed your skill descriptions don't really have anywhere that indicates how many coins are used in the skill. Which is fine, we can work backwards to find out the coin coint, but it makes it hard to tell the value of something like "if X, +2 coin power" at a glance.
9:30 Turns out, you are missing something, as it uses the insight BEFORE you discard it, so if you have 3 insight and discard a skill 1, you get 3 x 5 = 15% max hp, then go to 1 insight
Funny Rodion was my first Id I’m in canto 4 at level 28 broken is the least you can say
Wake up samurai. We have a video to watch
I had to scroll past because the pun and came back to learn
My dumbass ROBO brain literally tried to hit the skip ad
im just happy rodya has a busted id now rodya chads rise up
Ah yes, I do love dai-ichi Rodion
Hrnngh scary mechanic make perfectly round and smooth brain gain wrinkels...charge better I hear funny AwoOOoO and Ryoshu does 300 damage turn 2
Thumb IDs from ruina would be cool, we have r corp IDs so star of the city isn’t out of the question, right?
i almost always use molar outis skill 1 when available solely because wrath is rare as fuck lmao
i'd use molar yi sang if i want pure tremor but spicebush exists so sorry
oh boy can't wait until they add Exhaust to limbus lol
I fell for the fake ad till I attempted to skip the ad lol
A good pun is just bad pun but on purpose
I have no idea why they feel the need to cap Outis passive with both % and 20 cap. One should be enough tbh so her passive is just meh.
I nearly skipped the ad lmao
Limbus company
I'm almost at 16000 lunacy I could buy the discardinator 2000 soon :)
i instinctly pressed the skip button
3:28 AHHHHHHHG, YOU HEATHEN.
In my best rr2 run Dieci Rodya did the 2nd highest damage only below Wryoushu, and I didn't even bring her to every fight unlike Wdon and Rheath whom I did. This ID is crazy.
So to discard a skill you use defense?
by god Esquatch Goobert is back
You almost got me with that skip ad button. Almost
Today is the day i suppose to get outis ID
And didnt realized today is also the day it end
I cant explain how sad i am
16000 Lunacy? SO CHEAP!!!
