Dude I’m experiencing the same thing right now with Library of Ruina, since I’m trying to beat the game with only Roland’s floor. Needless to say, there were some brutal spikes so far, and I’m still not done with the game, but learning how to make decks that revolve around things I’ve never even looked at before (like I had no idea how powerful Bamboo hat was) and building actual ranged decks. Needless to say, I’m having much more fun with it than I expected to.
Well it just makes sense. If you're not doing SOME kind of challenge run, you wouldn't be using any of these, and if you weren't doing one THIS bad you'd probably rely on your preconceived biases of the units because you'd have additional good units pulling most of the weight. Using all the bad units really shows you how they work when they're all you can rely on

Kind of a wuss move, but the BS page is so cool and such a large draw of the general works floor that I thought the run would be a bit boring without it. (Plus Xiao and Kali still beat my ass multiple times over anyways lmao) Until that playthrough, I never realized how fun the Pinocchio pages are to use, especially with the Purple Tear key page. the light cost randomization page synergizes super well with any pages that increase the power of a specific damage type, like Overthrow, since you can spam all of them on the same turn to get insane power boosts if you get lucky with light costs. And if I wasn't lucky enough to get it, I had a different deck on PT that didn't have any page draw, which was for the abno page that shuffled all of your pages and gave you four random ones. Currently I'm attempting a general reception pages only playthrough, and I'm at Urban Plague right now. So far it's been surprisingly easy outside of having to break into the first tier of Urban Plague.
I don't regret a second of it. Even if the boulder falls back down, I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish. So really, one MUST imagine ESGOO happy.
I don't think I've seen anyone else go this in depth on the game mechanics in Limbus. This is really well organized and while I'm only a few minutes in, you're already making a damn good case for how hard this is gonna be. Good shit, dog.
Seriously, I had only an inkling of an idea how the hell Offense and Defense levels worked and/or if they had effects on clashes until I found ESGOO. He really helps me understand what makes something in this game effective, ineffective, or somewhere in between.

I find it funny how branch of knowledge was terrible on this run but was pulling me through on my rupture run due to half the skills in talisclair chains being useless
I find Talsiman Sinclair is better for his support passive, since giving K Corp Hong Lu 8 Talisman + his dimension shredder UT4 gives you an AOE 8 rupture and 4 rupture count
As someone with BOTH Marachi Sinclair and Blade Outis uptied... I am here to see if I can stay this stubborn and find new usages for them. Praying for people who go in such depth of game mechanics 🙏

I’ll be completely fine and happy if you shit on everyone of these IDs including base Meursault but I am glad that you did this challenge. Not because I’m a sadist but because it truly is an eye opener on how every little piece can matter in a team comp. Always loved myself a David vs Goliath story

Word of advice, you can beat rr2 with basically anything suficiently leveled team. Turn counts really only matter for the steam robot abno and for the special banners which are just cosmetic anyway.
@@funninoriginal6054 well the other problem is that I just started playing about last month and I just found out some mechanics that I don't know before (I never knew offense level is helpful in clashes). I do have some good ID (i.e. I Need More Boulets), though still not 35upt4. The last time I tried I died to fox at 0 cycle (pre-I Need More Boulets) and I was thinking about sharding the purist charge team but I was too lazy to actually farm MD for hours...so yeah wish me luck. Edit = also, thanks for the advice.
It's certainly possible, and honestly I considered the Liu team as it seems pretty fun! I also just love the chargebros, and burn MIGHT come in handy for some of the tankier fights. What made me not do it is the fact you have to fight the talisman doll 5 times, and for some reason he deals your burn damage back to you. I have no clue why they did that to burn only, as if burn wasn't suffering enough already...
@@adityaardhynugraha5033 Esgoo covers some pretty important mechanics so you can binge his videos if you want. Also, rr2 allows you to grab one ID from your friends, so you dont need to level and uptie absolutely everything. If you want, i can share my friend code so you can borrow ids from me.
I mean, I actually genuinely used Sloshing a lot back when I started Limbus, because she had really good resource production for me at the time. Then I got Rabbit heath, and my gluttony problem was solved. Oh, and Spicebush Yi Sang.

As someone who just started a week ago, I regularly run base Faust and Sloshing Ishmael... because, uh, Ishmael's Ardor Blossom Star EGO go brr I guess? I now have W Faust, but sometimes running base Faust just works better for the overall team synergy (read: provides better resources) - and her base Passive is, as far as my teams go, surprisingly useful since the enemy almost always has a debuff on them. Instead, I have a burning vengeance against Cinq Outis, because she draws aggro but dies in negative 3 hits, so she's just draining sanity.
Ok now 150 it In all seriousness, ive actually uptied both g corp outis and mariachi sinclair for the sole purpose of sinking, hes not too bad when soley being used for sinking He's got great on hit effects with good sinking, but cant clash for his life, so gaining so outside of a direct faust fuel line is difficult, uptying him to have reliable effects is actually massive
Gratz, madman. I think Liu overall is worse than Chef, and he will fit better on the worst team. And for the worst possible challenge, which will be even more painful, do not use any gacha E.G.O and E.G.O other than from the free line of the second season BP, except Ryōshū Soda.

Y'know, hearing about how guard falls apart purely due to on hit status effects makes me wish that guard had a deflect like in LoR, like if the attack doesn't deal hp damage the attack is considered deflected and thus it's effects, even if on hit, are null.

I legit don't get why they introduced a bunch of IDs that have decent tremor count application, only to have those same units then consume more than their fair share of tremor count. And especially why Lob EGO Ishmael needed to have the heaviest penalty when she only has slight tremor count gains.

The worst BASE ID he didn't want to use too many of them but hilariously enough some base IDs are better than most of their respective 2* ID's. All of Faust's other ID's are pretty decent for the most part if not outright good most of the time her base being pretty mediocre even in the realm of base ID's
The team I built to clear railway wasn't bad by any means, but I realized pretty quickly that I had two absolutely horrible deficiencies in sin generation with Gloom and Pride which was an awful pair of things to get fucked by. It got so bad that I had to take thirsting last to avoid constantly being at 0 gloom XD.

Yknow I never considered it, but do you think using Roseate Desire instead of Capote would've made Sloshmael better? It's effects on corrosion are... actually pretty nuts, especially considering she is basically guaranteed to be going first or second. 5 Paralyze and TEN Offense Level down seems a lot more useful than Capote's, and while it'd give her more damage on her skill 2 conditionally with the passive, but I think that the ribbons passive has arguably just as much use considering how much you praised Snagharpoon for its 6 Bind, with Desire only being 1 behind that and granting semi-permanent bind for the rest of the fight, alongside easing clashes for the many teammates going after her. Not like you'll ever do this challenge again, but I think it could have made her feel as core to the team as Chef Gregor due to her plethora of helpful debuffs. Of course if you were restricting EGO this isn't something you'd get to consider, but I don't think you were considering that since you could obviously have replaced Pursuance and Fluid Sac with the two other HE EGO that are hilariously outclassed because a big hit and a team heal is just gonna fundamentally be good in any content that is hard, especially in the form of a handy AoE
Funnily enough, yes. Roseate Desire would have been really good, however, since my Sloshmael was a support unit, I had no choice in the EGO. I’m honestly kind of okay with it, since the solution to most fights would have just been “use Roseate Desire”. Which, while it would have been interesting to see Ishmael Roseate Desire being used, it would have mitigated a lot of the need for strategy.

So this was a question I asked myself too, but I ultimately decided to just use the most useless support passives, instead of one that would actually harm me. If I could go back, I would change Ncliff to Suncliff. I do not think it would have been that much worse, since it mostly would have meant Slosh or Zwei Rodion got hit. They didn’t struggle with sanity too much, so the Blunt DMG up was kind of a benefit.

Of course if you were restricting EGO this isn't something you'd get to consider, but I don't think you were considering that since you could obviously have replaced Pursuance and Fluid Sac with the two other HE EGO that are hilariously outclassed because a big hit and a team heal is just gonna fundamentally be good in any content that is hard, especially in the form of a handy AoE
Funnily enough, yes. Roseate Desire would have been really good, however, since my Sloshmael was a support unit, I had no choice in the EGO. I’m honestly kind of okay with it, since the solution to most fights would have just been “use Roseate Desire”. Which, while it would have been interesting to see Ishmael Roseate Desire being used, it would have mitigated a lot of the need for strategy.

So this was a question I asked myself too, but I ultimately decided to just use the most useless support passives, instead of one that would actually harm me. If I could go back, I would change Ncliff to Suncliff. I do not think it would have been that much worse, since it mostly would have meant Slosh or Zwei Rodion got hit. They didn’t struggle with sanity too much, so the Blunt DMG up was kind of a benefit.
