I feel like Mick has been the guy bringing us the heaviest riffs. The opening to People=Sh!t is straight up a death metal riff! So heavy!

I don't think Mick writes a lot for the band Jim Root said VMan pretty much wrote the last record. lol Plus Jim Wrote most on the Gray Chppter with Corey writing three full songs. So the vocalist write more guitar parts than Mick.

The blue Ibby RG he used in the early days also had ''Hate'' on the headstock, must if been a custom decal made for him, because you could still see the Ibanez logo underneath. I think he used a black RG560/70 too during the self-titled days. The blue RG I think it's on display in the Slipknot museum with a black Warlock.

Funny thing. I live a few hours south of des Moines Iowa. They constantly toured the area being close to home and everyone who liked heavy music was saying u gotta go see slipknot. I didn't get it at first. I was absorbed in punk and pop punk ska. I didn't give them a chance even. My buddy had got the first pressing with purity and that's the first song I sat down and listened to besides wait and bleed. In short time I was all about them. Especially since nobody from our area in the Midwest had ever broke out. Word of mouth about those early shows really spread like wildfire. Good times man!
