You say that fmj lost all shape and motivation in the second half but that's exactly why I love it because the war had very little motivation behind it and the movie seemed to capture that feeling.all that training and losing your humanity to go out and fight and die in a war that is shapeless and unmotivated the film just capurtued that feeling completely and that's why I love it.And joker killing the sniper was a big moment because in the door gunner scene joker is disgusted by the door gunnerkilling women and children in the end he had to kill a women and a child and that's a big moment.btw sorry for bad English.

I can only respect someone’s opinions to Ann extent, full metal jacket is perfect no matter how you spin it.

Only a few movies are perfect and I don't think that's one of them. Appreciate you sharing your opinion though!

I agree. Full Metal Jacket is damn near perfect and in my opinion the greatest war film.

This was a great video man! I’ve just recently discovered your channel and can I just say it’s full of genuinely great and quality videos! My favorite so far is definitely the Raging bull video, I thought it was a really great and meaningful look into the film and made me think a lot about the film and reflect how I feel about it as well :)
Hope you’re doing well and maybe one day you’ll be back making RUclips content, but only if you want to! But if not thanks for making some great vida :)

You perfectly explain why, in Catch Me If You Can, the depiction of women was an intelligent and effective device to flesh out the main character. You then cite it as one of the reasons you don’t like the movie? This comes off like cognitive dissonance induced by a compulsive Woke virtue signal. Weak and shallow women exist. There are a lot of them. Con men prey on those personalities. It makes sense for the movie to be full of those women. You’re supposed to feel claustrophobic from the weak and shallow people he’s constantly surrounded by. Shoehorning in a “strong female lead” is not only unnecessary, it would distort the theme and fundamentally weaken the lead character. This is exactly why Woke ideology ruins stories. According to the ideology you’re making it “better”. But to normal people you’re carelessly ruining something that was made that way for a reason and didn’t need to be meddled with.

You should watch it again! I can think of 3 examples in WOWS where female characters are more than just plot devices. While Scorsese usually makes films about centered around chauvinistic assholes, he's always respected woman and presented them as both beautiful and strong.

@@thefilminformer well catch me if you can doesn't disrespect women. Women aren't the focus of it at all and no I don't think there is one strong female character in wolf of wall street, If you are referring to Margot Robbie, I think Amy Adams is a stronger character than her. While Catch me if you can does have issues I don't think the lack of a strong female character is one of those.
