Went from amazone to kuhn and not looked back, i run a axis 40.2 H-EMC-W which is probably what you’d be looking at with the spec you mentioned, i opted for cci800 screen for section control and then run the spreader controls off the NH intelliview 4 screen, its a great piece of kit and the servo motors seem to be alot more reliable then the actuators used by amazone and other brands 👍
You just can’t beat having plenty of tools in the workshop. Well I would call it a garage. Better looking at them than looking for them. Another great video.
Surprised you still have some tools thought dad would have hidden them after the JCB ram sarga 😂😂. Was Betty comfortable on your chair or her chair 😂😂cracking one again
Got an AMAZONE ZA-TS 3200, running through ISOBUS with hydraulic drive with power beyond, we are 36m spread at about 20kmh, the section control is black magic, saves so much product which is critical as I think prices are going to shoot up Downside is it’s complicated for what it is, only things gone wrong in 3 seasons are electrical sensors and a control unit We spread way faster with the AMAZONE (2T urea capacity) than we did with our bredal 4-5T capacity) and it’s soooo easy to clean
Krm is a great spreader we have one and it’s bomb proof . Never strips. The Krm rep is easily gotten on the phone for any help you need and will give you spread charts for any ferts that aren’t online. First class spreader.
I run a Khun Axis 40.2 M-EMC-W at work. Had it 3 seasons and brilliant bit of kit. Once you have done the headland, you just switch it on and it does everything itself, ie off and on as it sees ground already covered or not
Crawford, you pointed out the laminar flow of the oil as it poured out. Did you know that you can get ceiling-mounted bathtub fillers that also have laminar flow ? They’re probably wildly expensive but from the videos I’ve seen, they’re really impressive. More or less silent . . . and no splashing, either !
KRM here, excellent spreader, works different to all others in that each disc spreads the full width near enough rather than 1 disc spreading 24m one way and the other 24m the other way. Giving you very small chance of striping, think they call it a double double overlap. Only trouble is you can’t shut of one side in short work but if you have section control this wouldn’t matter. Very easy to set up calibrate and use also.
We are on our second Amazone zats ultra 4200 with Argos twin and wind control. Great spreaders. Argos twin works magic on the hills. Maintains drop point and spread pattern regardless of slope. Wind control is also pretty useful in windy NZ.
Well i'm convinced on the heater sitch so we are expecting big things in the workshop area from now going forward . Makes you wonder where those rocks appear from when the field is worked well.
We run a Amazone ZA-TS 4200 with hydraulic drive and isobus. Great spreader. Very accurate, as it calibrates it self going down the field with the weigh cells. All the settings for the different types of fert is saved in the screen. Very easy to set up, using the My Spreader app for getting the settings and doing the spread pattern test, using the rubber pads, which you just take pictures of and it tells you the new settings based on that.
Just watch the fumes on those heaters. Used one all the time when Fixing hot tubs in the winter here in Canada. Got dizzy a few times from being in an area that was too enclosed with one running.
hello great heaters, use Kerosene Heating Oil not red diesel i have two of them, if flame goes out the diesel will smoke i know from experience great video, hopefully one day will be able to stop at the shop on my way back home to muir of ord if i am down south. The nights are fair drawing in cheers
Everyone in our area has slowly moved from whatever they had previously to Kuhn spreaders, i think off the top of my head theres 7 or 8, most are PTO driven but a hydraulic does section control better and youd want a 40.2 H-EMC-W
@@iaincampbell285 the Sulky is now Sky Agriculture, they build the Lemken. My last Kuhn spreader suffered a lot of electrical problems. Buy a spreader with weight cells and hydraulic drive
You should plant some false acacia, quick growing, hardy ,great for fence posts and you can burn the firewood the same season it's cut, then it just regrows.
👀🙄🐾👍 Great video Kuhn are good machines it's down to how close the dealership is and your relationship with them i have had 2 Amazon4 Amazon spreaders regreted both of them both had spread pattern issue's
Had a kv exacta spread (all manual) not impressed at all, kept breaking the drive to the spinners..maybe because the pto shaft didn’t have an over-run clutch on it? Now using a KRM..not too bad but a very dirty spreader and a pain to clean..gearbox bearings replaced twice in 2 years but simple to do yourself.. My preference would be an Amazone every day of the week! Spread around 1000 bags/600 tons/year….
Without a doubt buy an Amazone Zav profis Hydro. Accurate and impressive. The discs slowing down along with rate being reduced makes it more accurate than the pto machine in my opinion
Krm is the worst spreader we have ever tried, never had the same setting for the same fert each day.. ya just couldn’t rely on it.. but it had a great spread pattern… Kuhn is the way forward.. cannot recommend them enough.. spot on every time.. which gives ya peace of mind when ya know ya going to use it 👍🏻👍🏻
You need Tom Lambs pit in Brian's Farm ( RUclipsr from Illinios , 🇺🇸) his heated workshop, with Larsons Farm ( Minasotta) workshop crane.😊 Buy your lottery tickets. 😊
It’s all about how the electrics attach to your tractor. You can have massive dramas is the fert gets into connections or housings,Solinoids have spazz attacks flat out 🙄
Stay away from krm, they cover the tractor in dust, and tend to smash up the fert, also it's a bit of a faff changing vanes for different fert types. We bought a Khun, it's perfect, easy to operate with section control, no need to change vanes for different fert w, 40 emc
Use a KRM at basic spec and on its own screen not a huge fan of it except its simple to use and easy to wash. But doesnt have anything like section control etc. Isobus might be better but their own screen is a nighmare and doesnt make things easy.
Amazon the section is amazing. Screeens probably not the simplest. But you've only got a few people driving it. Once you know how to run it its the best.
Get a KRM fert spreader. A bad story happened about my fert spreader the hydraulic top link arm snapped off and it’s all bent, Should have replaced the top link arm 🤦♂️ Great video as always.

Got a KRM here too, done 25,000 ha and never ever missses a beat, no stripes and section control works brilliant, don’t let the PTO put you off
Great video again Crawford. Really hoping the scanning goes well for you 🤞🏻
Enjoyed watching you change the oil on Betty.
You're nearly as messy changing filters as me!
Kuhn spreaders are very accurate and well made👍

Kuhn all the way ticks all the boxes absolutely loved mine
I would recommend looking at a kvernland/ vicon spreader as well

Have a kuhn spreader or rauch as they are called here, on gps section control , brilliant machine have it 5 years now never misses a beat.
we run a amazone za ta 4200 hydraulic powered with variable rate and section control. lovely machine to use

Amazone has wind control as well and ZA-TS go to 54m spread 👌
I had a space heater for years great winter kit, them trees might not be deed give them a bit more time.
Trees need a hell of a lot of water for quite a while to re-route without dying of dehydration.
Bogballe or Krm some fert sower for simplicity and accuracy , bombproof

KRM with weigh cells and vari spreader section control here in Norfolk. Unbelievably accurate and unbelievably expensive
You should as Tom lamb if him and Colin could pop up for the weekend I’m sure you would get your pit done 👍👍👍

We see you lift so many different things with the forklits, pallets almost feel weird
Do u not fancy upgrading drill to 4m lemkin? I know where there's one for sale!
Need a bigger tractor too tho
can you not get bigger drill with fert built in
Yeh would like to but would go 4m and need to change a tractor at same time for more ponies
Do you not keep spare parts for the drill seeing you use it a lot🤷
Kuhn spreader very easy to use very kind on the fertiliser very good app for new products I even spread slug pellets to 30 metres on potatoes
My mates John Deer needs a new gear box, quote is 17300 gbp. Breaks and housings 1730 is my guess
Kverneland are worth a look too.
Ex demos usually a decent buy see if you can find any about
Don’t give up all hope on the trees, they might, big might come back in spring
I have a krm and get on well with it. Never strips. Kv geospreads are meant to be very good
Kverneland very good spreader too.

😂😂
Have amazone ZATs 3200 , it has been faultless, no comparison to a zav
Haha just watched the rest and you want my pit
Send me dimentions
Try kverneland cl geospread very good spreader
Why would you want hydraulic driven instead of PTO
Safer, holds constant rpm better
I assume the gate lady doesn’t watch these vlogs. Otherwise your life won’t be worth living for the next week or so! 🤣
Could you not have gotten them to put a wiper blade on your 210 I’ve a Krm spreader I like it simple.
Brakes would not be covered by warranty as a wearing part , brakes not overly expensive unless main dealer done the work 🤦
Yes more that it would be changed before breaks went
Get a KRM. Best spreaders on the market. Once you’ve had one you won’t have anything else again.

6 grand repair would be my uneducated guess for the tractor.
KRM or a KV if I was you. Lemken just rebadged sulky. Be care of unlocks needed on kuhns. And for some reason not a fan of Amazones.
Kuhns the one to have. The KRM smashes the product up too much with the triple overlap system they use.
All spreaders have their own headland management gimmick. Not a lot between any of them. They will all rust in time. An expensive item
