No. That's what we need to think about here, elite players don't have backups, they have players in other positions who can play there, for example Salah has Elliot. Also Arsenal don't need a #9, we need to get the ball to attackers. We need to get Martinelli, Saka and Havertz in dangerous positions to convert chances. Arsenal were the only good team… yet they failed to win the league. I’m talking strictly performance wise here. Like how well they played and dominated teams.
I could see Liverpool dropping back to that United, Spurs, Chelsea, Villa pack. For most of the season they over performed because they were running off the emotion of Klopp leaving. Van Dijk, Trent, and Salah have a foot out the door. I think they get top 4, but they will have fewer points and won’t touch Arsenal or City.
@@andymore62 agree, I can also argue that Arsenal and Arteta should be careful of complacency before they have won any major trophy because 2 season running close to city back to back, I feel they might also be at risk for a drop off. However, given we haven’t won anything as yet should give the team plenty of motivation to go with the optimism of their gradual improvements
For some reason I think Arsenal won’t do good this season! Reason because the signings and the team mentality will be tired of trying to compete again. As much as motivational you can be it can be tiring being second place over and over again. It’s time for a fresh squad. But it looks like arsenal is going to the season with just one signing tbh.

No one wants to be backup to Saka and no one's good enough to challenge him. I think sometimes people don't actually realize how good Saka really is. Sane would probably play most of his games on the left, same with Neto and when they do play on the right it's to rest Saka or if he's injured. Did Salah have a backup? No. That's what we need to think about here, elite players don't have backups, they have players in other positions who can play there, for example Salah has Elliot.
Also Arsenal don't need a #9, we need to get the ball to attackers. We need to get Martinelli, Saka and Havertz in dangerous positions to convert chances. Haaland only works at Man City because he plays creative wingers like Grealish and Bernardo out wide, Martinelli with a #9 would be awful, it would be like Rashford and Hojlund. It's not as simple as "Buy Gyokeres and we win the league", you need the right players around him and we don't have them right now. That's why Havertz is perfect, he's so complete there are no flaws. Havertz will score 20 goals minimum next season
