I love that they are drip feeding us this album so we get random absolute bangers every so often as a reward for surviving this hell year.

@@jamesmueller4058 I sadly agree.. they have a limited fan base , their last album ' Wonderful, Wonderful ' debuted at #1 and a week later it wasn't even in the top 100 !.. that is a tragedy.. it means their die-hard fans rushed out the first week and then no one else had enough taste to know what real music is.. every track on the album is far better than 99 % of the auto drones out there ( " auto drones " sounds like a Killers song title !!.. it could be about the clueless taste these kids have today) none the less I will have the album the day it's released ;
It's hard to believe they've been around for almost 20 years .. they still sound like a band giving everything to break through,which they did spectacularly with 'Mr.Brightside ' I don't think I've ever heard anything they've done that wasn't at least listenable, most are very good and many are far greater than anything else on the radio..this song reminds me of Bruce Springsteen's " Save My Love " with another Springsteen classic " No Surrender ".. but, they also have a sound unique to them.. so together it's pure Magic !.. can't wait for the album to drop !

You can see how the background of the horse (the Dying Breed) turn from darkness into light as same as the song changes the tone of the line "We've got everything we need" in order to show the evolution of someone trying to make it through a life full of represion by his own way, someone unique. Do what you want to fucking do and dont let someone stops you!

My dad played the killers in his car when I was a kid and I grew up with their music. They were the first rock band I loved and Brandon Flowers was my first crush. I cried a thousand times and laughed a million times while listening to their songs. I'm 18 now and they are still my favorite band. They mean everything to me and I remember the first time I talked about them with my friend who would only listen to popsongs at the time, when we were 8. I remember having fights and listening to the killers later and crying. I remember listening to the killers with friends while laughing and talking.
They mean everything to me and I just want to share this.
I know it's stupid, but I want to show my love and appreciation in any way.❤️

Serious Springsteen vibes throughout, Love it, this Album is shaping up to be very special.
This is classic killers at the their best when it feels like the songs should never end. Takes me back to 2006. For some reason Sams Town resonates with me so much more. Hot Fuss has great tracks and classics but Sams Town for me was something else. Probably the place and time and the feelings....transports me back. I think i can say music is the best time machine

Slept on this song when the album came out, but my god it's incredible. Gets more powerful the more you listen to it! And seeing it live a few weeks ago was an experience I'll never forget.

I know this song is about Brandon’s wife and their relationship but I also feel like you could interpret it as a love letter to the killers fans who have stuck with them through thick and thin and who’ve stood by them with each new album though they’ve never met the commercial success they did with their first two albums and maybe the next generation isn’t catching on to their genre, which used to be incredibly popular, and this music would be more successful if it weren’t for the current state of the music industry and popular music, they know their fan base sees them and their work and will stick by them and they’ll stick with us by continuing to release great music and tour and be there for us in that way.

Since that unforgettable first record, The Killers from Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, they never fail. I hear this music and i can see landscapes of cities at night in America, Brian Eno, The Cars, Sam Shepard's poetry......what a band.

I love how neatly this ties the hypnotic pulse of 'Hallogallo' by NEU! into the Springsteenian rock they love. 'Hallogallo' is a dope track but I always thought it'd sound interesting transitioning into something bigger. Gotta love Krautrock. ( 'Spiders' by Wilco pulls a similar trick)
For someone who was a lifeguard for 3 years and actually helped save a patrons life the line, "I will be there when water's rising, I'll be your lifeguard" really struck home for me. I love is band and the fact that I have gotten to go through life with them still making banger songs like this one!
