John was a wonderful human being. He brought laughter to the realities that many big people suffer every day, and made that life hilarious. God bless his soul.
I'll always regret never being able to see him in person, but the great thing about RUclips is being able to watch him whenever I feel like laughing. His comedy will be truly eternal.
@@johnfriend862 We lost our dog recently and my husband was pretty down along with myself. It was his clips from youtube (most he hadn't heard) that got him to laugh for the first time. His delivery, timing and ability to make you feel like he'd be a friend, just draws you in.
My dad saw John shooting Craps in Vegas and went up to say hi. John asked if my dad wanted his autograph and my dad said “Nay nay”. John then gave my dad a hug.
There are comedians, and then comedian’s comedians, and then whatever comes above them, and then, after them, there was John. He was the Citizen Kane of comedians…wholly original and likely never to be matched. We were insanely lucky to have had him, and to have videos like this to remember him by. I hope he knew exactly how much he was loved. The Beatles sang that in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make. John created a LOT of love everywhere he went, and it’s obvious that he took an immeasurable amount with him when he left us.
I booked him very early in his career. It was 1987 and the venue was the Atlantic Inn on Block Island. What a funny man! He looked 14 at the time. Many stories from just a weekend. The crowds- 4 shows-loved him. I always thought I would see him again. I never did.
I love that John would visit with people. It's a rare thing. It reminds me of Penn and Teller, they are the first ones in the lobby after a show and will shake hands with anyone & everyone.
John came to our town Charlottetown Prince Edward Island Canada twice. And then low and behold he talked about us in his Still Hungry Special. Thank you John for all the laughter you brought to this world. You are truly missed.
What an amazing kind hearted man. Love this guy. Not only is he the funniest standup comedian but look how he comes out to me his fans waiting on line. Shakes hands. Just a true wonderful sole. It’s true. Only the good die young. So sad. How we could use his talents today. He would pick us all up. And clean humor. No politics. Love that man. God rest his sole
He would NEVER need security detail when out with the people ‘cuz he was so damned loved! The way he treats folks makes ME proud to be a fellow Bostonian….a people not generally known for their warmth! John was the kind of guy a lot of us wish we were.😀
Whenever Im having a bad day,ir feeling down,or just need a good laugh i turn to johns you tube videos and he still gets me through, and i may have heard his routine numerous times but they still are funny as hell,i listened to the comments are they are true he was such a wonderful human being who walked among us ,i got to meet him in person before his show and i brought him some of the neighborhoods favorites from a place called freddys in Cicero ill.and he had me sit down with him and we talked for a good 15min before his show ,and im not a star struck kind of person but he made me feel important for those 15min ,and im just sadden to know his family misses him more so than just his fans.rip john never foreget you.
I never seen him live but he has had me in tears many times with his wit and humor. Rest In Peace sir, you brought many people a whole lot of joy! Miss you.
Why oh why, do such wonderful and great, happy human beings have to leave the Earth-ful Plain so early....I hope God is busting a gut, having this wonderful Soul, upstairs....tears are in my eyes, as I watch this....God bless you John...do NOT 'rest easy'....but stride across the stage still, to a raucous heavenly crowd...!!!!
A great man and a great comedian. He made you believe everything he said and you laugh till you cried. He was the leader of the Ewoks. Rest in peace John, you are truly missed.
John you are so loved! Thank you for being your wonderful, kind, caring and hilarious self! I can’t wait to meet you one day on the other side and go for an arugula salad 🥗 and a turmeric cupcake 🧁🤣
No matter how many times I watch his stand up routines, and here the same jokes, I still laugh so much. He was so damned talented, in every way, and a good hearted soul. He didn't have to constantly, use vulgar language, he didn't need it. RIP John. ♥️🥰😇🙏🙏
I am in North Western Ontario..... & I am old enough to remember listening to WLS on AM Radio at night back when it was still a Rock Station I was so lucky to get to see John twice before he passed
1:08 He was so good at his job he could make the “ding” sound of his fork hitting the plate make me laugh. Truly there will never be another like John Pinette.
I found John, started watching his videos, and really got into his comedy. I figured I would seek out his schedule and try to catch him live. That's when I discovered he had passed on. I was devastated. Why? That's not fair. He still is my fav. comedian. Damn. What a shame. I discovered him too late but I will still watch everything he's done.
Man I wish I could have seen John in person, he was the first comedian that I saw that had me do the wheezing out-of-breath literally ROFL laughing. XD
John Pinnette, like Kevin Meaney, was taken from us too soon. What a great comedian, and also from what I understand,a great human being as well. I remember first seeing him around the early 90s and a few years ago introduced his standup to my kids who absolutely love him.
I met him at the Beverly Hills Hilton as he was waiting for a car. He was such a gracious humble guy. Had a 10 minute conversation before his car arrived. He is missed!
I always thought that John, Louie Anderson, and Ralphie May should have gotten together and did a tour like Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Larry The Cable Guy, and Ron White did with their Blue Collar Comedy Tour. R.I.P., all three of them.
I am a big guy like John was. Poking fun and joking about buffets and stuff are great therapy! I miss him and I would be willing to bet that he was a super sweet guy! RIP
If i could have met John before he passed away i would have said to him "Thank you very much John", "You took the bite out of life for us...ALL" .....LOL.
Like other celebrities, John was special, better than the rest of us. A bright light shining on the dull and dreary masses who were simply lucky to be alive in his time. He will be missed.
Arugula plagued my grandfather's cousin. She literally would choke and gag just looking at it. When I heard John Pinette's bit on this "horrifying pretentious vegetable" I went bananas!! He was fantastic. Gone way too soon.
So sad that his mind will not be treating us to new thoughts that would make us laugh. Saw him in person and I've seen all the clips multiple times and still laugh out loud. God bless you big boy.
John was a wonderful human being. He brought laughter to the realities that many big people suffer every day, and made that life hilarious. God bless his soul.
I wish I got to see him live, he seemed such a genuine individual. So sad he died the way he did
I'll always regret never being able to see him in person, but the great thing about RUclips is being able to watch him whenever I feel like laughing. His comedy will be truly eternal.

So true!
Oh my god he seemed so genuine. Why are the greats taken so early?! YOU ONLY HERE 50 YEAR! WHY YOU ONLY HERE 50 YEAR! YOU COME BACK!!
The greatest, funniest, most loveable, cleanest comedian ever. What a lovely man. Rest in Peace, John!
I heard him say "damn" once when he was really young. I was shocked. shocked.
I didn't discover John Pinette until after he had passed. I think I missed a lot. The funniest man ever on earth.

I met him at the Palmer House Chicago years ago, very generous with his time to talk. A kind Man who left us too early. RIP 🙏
We saw him live and, to this day, I cry shrieks of laughter tears when I hear his stuff. Thank God for RUclips!
It's so heartwarming the way he interacted with that kid. Shows how down to earth he really was. You sure are missed big guy!
Not a big guy but a Bigga Boy! He was so funny and I wish I had seen him live.
I booked him very early in his career. It was 1987 and the venue was the Atlantic Inn on Block Island. What a funny man! He looked 14 at the time. Many stories from just a weekend. The crowds- 4 shows-loved him. I always thought I would see him again. I never did.
Lucky you! We lost a good one way too early!
Brought a tear to my eyes RIP big fella

So many people loved him including me. Miss you John.❤
Great act. "I say nay nay" made it into my everyday vocabulary and ever so often I watch the "extended warranty" segment.
John and Louie were kind-hearted guys who treated people well, despite their success. What treasures!
He would NEVER need security detail when out with the people ‘cuz he was so damned loved! The way he treats folks makes ME proud to be a fellow Bostonian….a people not generally known for their warmth! John was the kind of guy a lot of us wish we were.😀
I miss John . He was a unique individual ,a gift to all from a higher place.
