    • @markhenry6486
      @markhenry6486 Год назад +15

      He often swears, that's okay.
Why do sexual jokes repulse you? Sex is fertile ground for humor. I'm gonna guess that because of his size his sex life may have been non average. Perhaps that's why he didn't make too many, or any, jokes on that subject.
He is an exceptionally talented comedian.
What makes jokes great is insight, intelligence, unexpected twist, novel viewpoint, making listeners see something from an others point of view.
      He does it all.

My wife and I watch John Pinette's shows regularly on RUclips and always love them. He was SO talented, as a comedian and singer; and so likable. In my mind, he must be counted among the greatest comedians of all time.

His delivery is SO good. The facial expressions, the yelling, his timing - truly a great comedian. I feel honored to have seen him when he opened for Frank Sinatra at the Greek Theatre in L.A. in 1991. He said later that it was that job - opening for Sinatra on his tour of that year, part of Sinatra's Diamond Tour - that put him on the map. That was a nice little bonus. And Sinatra was good too!

I used to see him every time he was in NY. I got his autograph on his CD.he used to be oit in the lobby before his shows talking with everyone. He was a VERY personable guy. Adter one if his shows we hung out by the bar and talked for 45 min, just him and I. He used to be an accountant! He must of had the office in stiches. He would study the areas he was going to perform at to learn about local customs, food places etc. to include in his act. He always said he wanted his routine to be family friendly. He found humor in everyday life.

John Pinette passed away in April 2014 (over 10 years ago ) . He was a Master of Mirth . I miss him so much.
I met him for the first time at the Dunes Comedy Club in Las Vegas in the 80's . Became a friend of his. He was a true decent man and a lovely man. Miss those days at the Dunes Comedy Club with him and others, Also Dom Irrera . God Bless-

Robert Gosselin I fully agree with you he didn't need to swear to get his jokes across to the audience. His timing was always perfect and when he would tell some of his stories about doing things with friends he could convey some of the story through his facial expressions. Like the beaver tail story and how he couldn't stop or the story about him passing gas in the van with the windows up and the heat being on. His facial expressions could sometimes tell half of the jokes and stories, lol. R.I.P. John, gone but not forgotten. Hands down one of the best.😂😂😂

    John was brilliant by comedically
Telling stories about subject matters we
All related to... mostly making fun of himself rather than abusing others
Wide range of talent .... impressions
Singing...master of creating visuals while telling hilarious stories....one of the most
    Underrated comic minds!

Three callbacks in one set is epic. Most comedians struggle with just one, and it's usually the closer.

Exactly! The best comedians are the ones who can make you laugh without using smut in their show.... John Pinette, Red Skelton, Mr. Bean, Carol Burnette, Tim Conway, to name a few. Vulgarity ruins it. Same goes for movies.
