    The larger “crash cans” as you call them come on the winch equipped models because the roller fairlead sticks out farther. If you don’t get the factory winch then you get the regular “crash cans”

    Picked up my ordered 2024 Rubicon X. Had it for three and a half days before a "shift service" warning came on. It has now been at the dealer for repair for eleven days. They are waiting for the part to arrive. I contacted Jeep to see if they could expedite the part. Thought maybe they would want to help a new buyer. This large company couldn't help. Only had 90 miles. Being a new Jeep product owner isn't going well.

    I went to a dealer that only sells used wranglers, and one thing I noticed is that all the ones with leather seat were like sitting on a rock. The leather dries out because people don’t properly condition them, and it makes the seats super uncomfortable. If I were to buy a wrangler, I’d go for cloth seats and put neoprene seat covers over the top of them. Can’t go wrong that way.

    I just ordered a new 2024 Wrangler unlimited Rubicon X. The updates are awesome with the 35" tire package with beadlock ready wheels, electrically controlled leather seats, the rear floating axle, the full time four wheel drive, the 4.88 gearing , the body colored high velocity clear coat hardtop with body colored fenders, great premium sound system with factory soundproofing, and factory steel bumpers with winch. Awesome package, quite different from my 1957 Willys 1 ton truck. The one ton willys truck is a hoot to drive without power steering or air condition but I am really looking forward to getting my new Rubicon X in three or four months after UAW strike ends. I have waited over thirty years to get my Rubicon!

    • @jimbov23
      @jimbov23 7 месяцев назад

      Hopefully your order moves quick doesn't end up like most...waiting in a queue. Some orders won't be received for 6 months and at that point the 2025's will be out within a couple months. I ordered a Rubicon X on June 26th and sat in order confirmed up until last Friday when I cancelled my order and moved on like many others have done. It was clear Jeeps focus is not on customer orders anymore like it use to be.

    • @Dr.HunterGreenwoodDCND
      @Dr.HunterGreenwoodDCND 7 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your concern. I know that waiting a long time is not my strength but truly love the new Rubicon X package and have always wanted a new Rubicon. Even though the new Ford Bronco is interesting and certainly a good offer by Ford, I really want a Rubicon. I ordered from Jim Butler Jeep in Linn MO, Steven Boeckman is my salesperson, and got a wonderful deal below MSRP that has the price locked in. I figure the UAW strike will cause the prices to go up. I truly hope the the UAW members and Stellantis are able to reach a fair deal to compromise and continue to produce such amazing wranglers. They have come a long way. They are truly expensive but are comparable to other prices of vehicles that are similar. I hope I will be surprised by receiving my Rubicon X before Christmas. Besides the wait, I have my wife encouraging me to buy a Rubicon now before prices go up and because I was able to get such a good price. The fact that she supports me in my purchase means a great deal to me, I will wait and hope! By ordering a 3.6 Pentastar engine with automatic fulltime four wheel drive , 4.88 gearing, and a three-piece hardtop I hope I will avoid delays in production.I will let you know my progress. I have received the vehicle ID# on 9/19/2023 and now wait for scheduling for production. @@jimbov23

    Just an FYI I have the leather seats in my 2020 2 door rubi, and they last fine if you maintain them. But you have to maintain them (I oil mine at least once a year, sometimes twice). Properly maintained leather tends to last longer than cloth, and they are easier to clean mud off of as well. You just need to clean, oil, and apply protect-ant once or twice a year. That said I am not very fond of the new interiors (including the wide screen), so thanks for showing this.

      I ordered cloth seats in my 2020 JL...I wanted leather, but I knew I would be putting seat covers in my Jeep anyways. I would not have done that if I had ordered leather. How are the leather seats with spills and stains? Sounds like you are OCD like me, when it comes to my Jeep. My neighbors laugh at me, because they say I clean my Jeep more then I drive it!

    • @sorenmelchior
      @sorenmelchior 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@tomroume3178 leather seats properly cared for (oiled and treated) are super easy to clean up, as the oil you put in the leather helps prevent most substances from soaking in. You can just wipe off the spilled substance, then use leather cleaner, then re-oil and you are set. Now if you spill a solvent, or something with high acid or base content that would be a different story. But for most food spills it's an easy clean up.

    if someone wants leather. They can always have the dealer custom order the mopar/katzkin leather with any design. Then it gets installed once the jeep arrives at the dealership. Since you cant factory order the Mopar/katzkin leather anymore. With the exception of the 2 door Rubicon. You would have to pay for the installation

    I agree with your input on the new screen not really feeling it compared to the old one. I will say what I'm most disappointed about with 2024 moving forward is the fact that they got rid of the overland trim for JTs. Luckily, I have my Overland already, but for some who were maybe waiting to buy that specific trim, it makes them have to potentially pay even more for features that they want, but also forcing them to get a Rubicon with features that they may not necessarily need. But they did keep the Sahara trim, which is basically the Overland trim for the wrangler. Why couldn't they have done that for the gladiator kind of odd. I've said it over and over but I'd much have my fully loaded Overland than a Rubicon with plastic fenders, cloth seats, and halogen lights.

    HaHa the lighter means that's the cigar and tuxedo edition. If you raise the headrest would your dead still hit the rollbar? It also looks like the front cam is still low res.... You are right that updates to the resolution and functionality would be more appreciated over carving the widescreen into the existing dash design.

    I don't like the screen either. Maybe if it was more flush to the dash instead of sticking out and the gaps all around. It looks super tacky. Also, the round vents made it easy to direct the airflow in any direction. The square ones look more limited.

    I think the new interior is really nice and a lot of the new features are really nice as well but I feel like they should have done something with the engines given the price point...that 3.6 is just fallen out of time...

      @damonp357 8 месяцев назад +1

      Agreed, Im in the market for a new Wrangler, but 70k is too much for that 3.6, so im going to wait until they put a more powerfull engine in them.

    • @victorandrade7940
      @victorandrade7940 6 месяцев назад

      Funny thing. The 3.6 was their base engine in 2018 when the JL released. It was basically the free option. Jeep realized that people were willing to pay extra for it and now locked it to the "high end" Rubicon's 😂
      Although, owning both the 2.0 and 3.6. The little 4 cyl turbo engine is far better. More fuel efficient, more responsive, more torque.

      I was looking into getting a Wrangler Rubicon with the Extreme recon package and for what they are asking for it they really need to update their engine options, now I'm going to wait for the Lexus GX 550 Overland +, wont be much more than what that Wrangler was.

      @@Jdp661 1- I hate the red interior. 2- the new interior dash sucks (it's like they just wanted to so desperately incorporate a larger screen that they hurried and pieced together a new dash board, but it's junky and seems flimsy compared to the older) 3- stock wheels (rims) look better to me on the older (so if you aren't going to quickly change them out, they're better looking IMO) 4- I actually prefer the manual seat control on vehicle like this (it has all the premium features I don't want to live without, adaptive cruise, lane assist but it's a premium vehicle because of it's engine and stock off road capabilities and I like the simplicity of the older seats) 5- I don't like the new grill style
