The top Bronco comparison would be a 2 door Badlands with the Sasquatch package. The Bronco would come in cheaper and TBH there's nothing about this Jeep that would sway a Bronco owner. You get 1/2" more ground clearance than the Jeep, but you get a much better ride with the Bronco, plus the added 7MT option.
I'm old skool. I've owned a 72 Blazer, a 76 FJ40, a 87 FS Bronco and a 58 Willys CJ5. All two-doors! How on earth have I been able to wheel without 4-doors? Nathan needs to be in more videos. Love his dry humor.
Went to a lot where a buddy works. Test drove a 2dr basic sport. 39k….. they came down to 37k. Needless to say I left! They were still 5k too high. There’s an awful lot of jeeps on the lot!
"4 door jeep sales dwarf 2 door", this just proves that almost all jeeps are sold based on image and never taken off road. The original and still king of the mall crawler
Another way of looking at their pricing is it comes straight from the factory without needing a single upgrade to be as wildly capable as you’ll ever need it to be.

And then they will only put the Normal Output Hurricane in it, and that will be reserved for the upper trim level/models Jeeps. Probably come out with a Rubicon Velociraptor Edition. Jeep is a ridiculous auto manufacturer.
If they're going to do it at all, it's going to be the next generation. Because they're going to have to make significant revisions to the design to fit that engine.
We just drove a 4-door Rubicon in Moab with 37-inch tires and a 2-inch lift -- and they did rub on occasion. So, with only 1.5-inches of lift, I'm guessing 37s wont fit.
Yeah it's weird. All they need to do is level it, some 35s and a more aggressive gear ratio and it would be a hot seller. Easy enough to do in the aftermarket but some people don't like to mess with that.
I bought a 2-door Badlands with all the goodies, and I'm so glad to see Jeep make something to directly complete with exactly what I bought. I absolutely love Jeeps but now that I'm getting older being able to buy from the factory without breaking my back building, this is a real contender!
In tommy we trust. Lol. He totally understands the assignment. He showed his old two door Jeep. And gave us iconic moments Fearless leader. Nate is blessed
Cool little Jeep...$65,000 is not only in Bronco range but Land Cruiser, 4Runner TRD Pro, and certainly used Land Rover, Mercedes, Lexus and other much nicer capable driving vehiles. Someone who wants a turn key new off road vehicle with lots of money would be unlikely to buy a 2 door, but this would be a possibility I guess...
I thought Jeeps were supposed to be the peoples Land Rover. $64k is crazy for a 2-door with a 2L 4cy! There are no 4x4 SUVs or pickups you can get below $45k. Guess I’ll continue my search on the used market.
Check out Nissan Frontier, especially the King Cab, way under MSRP. I just test drove a few in S, SV and Pro 4x all under (but close to) 45k, The king cab in "commercial" trim was closer to 30k with 4x4 and no frills, basic NA V6. Knock em around for the stupid overpriced factory add-ons like floormats, adventure medical kit and sound system upgrades, they will go lower I found...much lower.
Hate to say it but a Stellantis 2.0 wont do it for many. Good horsepower numbers but the horrible reliability of the 4 cylinders under that umbrella cant get me there. Especially with that price tag!
My local dealer has a 2024 Wrangler Sport 2 with cloth seats for $44k MSRP. Also 2023 Gladiator Mojave for $78k MSRP. Jeeps are basically unattainable now for most people.
Just a quick note about the wheels; they are not able to be used as a beadlock ring without buying the mopar accessory ring that has many more holes for bolts. The current ring on there is just for show. My pw came with the beadlock capable wheels but unfortunately mopar still dont sell the lockable ring to replace the beauty ring 😭
No love for the 2 door owners, the 35" tire package only available with the 4 cyl. engine and not the Pentastar 6? No bueno. The Wrangler doesn't have wireless charging pad and 360 degree camera view like the new Bronco. I do like the '24 Wrangler new dash configuration with the AMPS platform. BTW, I am a 2020 Wranlger JLR owner, but the new Bronco is looking very tempting with a cheaper price tag too.
Jeep and ford dealers and their crazy prices have enabled the manufacturers to jack up their prices and then they still mark them up! Then they tell people to blame the uaw when they have record profits. I think the tables have turned and people aren’t willing to pay. Time to lower your prices.
Damn....When I bought my 2023 last year, was hoping they'd come out with the Extreme Recon for the 2 doors...did'nt though.....Of course here we go the very next year

Overpriced. Basically all automakers are overbuilding vehicles nowadays and forgetting that price is just as important as features in terms of value. I get they want to claim they have the most capable but come on with the price.

I could watch those two doors compete for days
Same here…exactly.
You could get a rubicon 4 door almost loaded for that price in 19 haha
Why did you buy a bronco?
@@rowdienights9136 because I love the bronco, very capable unit off-road and good road trip unit, I like the jeep too and would like to have both
At that price for a 2 door i thought it woulda had the 392 v8 💀 not a 4 cylinder
2 door , V8 392 , triple lock , stock 35 or 37's from factory - then call it an EXTREME JEEP
You lost me at 2 liter engine.
All jeeps started off w 4 bangers ...this kne has a Garret turbo and they actually rip lol
Turbos cook motors
Imagine going into a Stellantis dealership and staying in there more than five minutes, good god.
Feeling extremely grateful my wife and I purchased our wrangler rubicon when we did. Summer of 2021 and we paid $54k. I thought at the time we were crazy for spending that much but, in today’s market these things are so insanely expensive and priced out of a lot of budgets.
Very cool looking jeep I like the 2 door better.
NOTHING beats the looks of a 2door Wrangler.
Jeep is going out of business with those prices
Uncle Sam will bail car manufacturers out again.
@@Christoph-sd3zi Wait who didn't they bail out last time? Oh yeah Ford. Sorry but Toyota is the only one playing the game right as of now.
Lots are packed here with wranglers no one is buying them at 100k.
At 64k that engine is a No-go😢
100%
It should be a V8, and not the HEMI. Just a reliable pushrod mill akin to an LS, a simple engine for going FAR out in the boonies.
Turbo four 2.0, no way.
V6s are going the way of the Dodo bird, unfortunately
Love this Jeep, but 64K! I think this should be at most 50K like Nathan mentioned, may be even 45K if they want to sell to masses.
You guys sold me... On not wanting to buy a Jeep lol
Got 4 door base in 2020 for $30k, now I couldn’t afford a new jeep, incredible
Went to a lot where a buddy works. Test drove a 2dr basic sport. 39k….. they came down to 37k. Needless to say I left! They were still 5k too high. There’s an awful lot of jeeps on the lot!
"4 door jeep sales dwarf 2 door", this just proves that almost all jeeps are sold based on image and never taken off road. The original and still king of the mall crawler
Another way of looking at their pricing is it comes straight from the factory without needing a single upgrade to be as wildly capable as you’ll ever need it to be.
Nathan's reaction to the price...."WWWWWHHHHHHHAAAATTT.....OH MY *Grabs the window sticker....Whistles* THATS ALOTTA DOUGH!!!" Got me giggling.
Price is deal breaker.
I went to chevy spent 41k
LOL
Chevy what tho? Something compared to a bronco or Jeep?
@@markcole6475 trail boss 4wd spray in bedliner leather seats cruise control open back window etc. 41k. Oh and duratrac lt 33 inch mud tires. A custom special order.
Couldn't have been the a chevy mid side 4x4 truck. They are testing one in there big battle and it's close to 50k. What did you buy for 41k?
Nothing GM makes is even remotely in the same realm as the wrangler lol
Bring it on bronco!!
Bronco: did you fart?
They need the new 3.0 Hurricane option in the Wrangler!
They're not going to do that until they ring out every last sucker that will pay north of 100k for a "Last Call Edition 392 HEMI." And then they will only put the Normal Output Hurricane in it, and that will be reserved for the upper trim level/models Jeeps. Probably come out with a Rubicon Velociraptor Edition. Jeep is a ridiculous auto manufacturer.
I'd be surprised if it fit. Its longer than the 392 and the 392 already required a special radiator that sat farther forward to fit.
No 3.0L TT Wrangler-based prototype at Moab, does not bode well. May have to wait for next body generation. Sad Face 😕
If they're going to do it at all, it's going to be the next generation. Because they're going to have to make significant revisions to the design to fit that engine.
I have one exactly like that. Purchased it in June 2024. I have the 3.9 litre V6. Great acceleration and braking. Awesome maneuverability ❤
How well does it go through puddles at Bass Pro Shops so the buyer can shop for new clothes?
We just drove a 4-door Rubicon in Moab with 37-inch tires and a 2-inch lift -- and they did rub on occasion. So, with only 1.5-inches of lift, I'm guessing 37s wont fit.
Bet they would fit , but rub some on flexy trails
Still no Gladiator with the XR package? Jeep is missing the boat here.
Yeah it's weird. All they need to do is level it, some 35s and a more aggressive gear ratio and it would be a hot seller. Easy enough to do in the aftermarket but some people don't like to mess with that.
They’ed price it too high for the majority of mid class America to buy anyway.
I’ve said that for years!, Gladiator with XR and 5.7 they would be selling wayy more gladiators
@@d2340 true. Gladiators are stupid expensive. Like $50k for a Sport S hard top/automatic.
Would that be the Majave package?
I bought a 2-door Badlands with all the goodies, and I'm so glad to see Jeep make something to directly complete with exactly what I bought. I absolutely love Jeeps but now that I'm getting older being able to buy from the factory without breaking my back building, this is a real contender!
I have that exact same Jeep, except in a four-door. The two door just looks so cool!!!
4 door is nicer

Great video as always guys ! They are always thorough and informative, and timely.
Now bring us a 2 door Gladiator.
8:00 😂I hope Nathan is joking about the rail cam wiper 😂8:36
Yup the dealers in my area are pretty much begging customers to trade in their old vehicles for new models. Still too expensive, keeping my JKU14
Damn...I bought a loaded Rubicon 2 door in 2012 for 34k ...60k now.
Yeah... I got a 2015 Rubicon Hard Rock 2dr for under 40 including all taxes etc
Keep fighting 😂😂😂😂😂 i though Tommy was going to blow something talking about the break over angles 😂 thinking about his last camping trip 😂😂😂😂😂😂
In tommy we trust. Lol. He totally understands the assignment. He showed his old two door Jeep. And gave us iconic moments Fearless leader. Nate is blessed
Sasquatch Mid package and Modular bumper are the add ons.
How about just a simple, economical LJ with the 2.0T and a tailgate? I can add my own lockers, thanks.
This is exactly what I’m building my 2-door JL into.
I won't be trading my two-door Sasquatch with the twin turbo V6 anytime soon but thanks
Wow, you've got a two-door Sas AND a twin turbo V6? Bonus!! Too bad all of the MIC roofs are cracking.
Well so far mine's not but if it does it's warranty I don't care
Ford should have made them out of fiberglass instead of getting a company out of Germany to make them out of plastic I will agree with that
@@darrendaine4914I got a 2 door badsquatch and it would take a hell of a Jeep to make me think about switching.
11:29 I totally agree on that statement about this gaining in value as rare Jeeps
It is so good looking, and I've never said that about any Jeep.
As much trouble as there is with Jeep windshields getting broke and they put the radio antennae in it? Jeep engineering at its best.
It is a gorilla glass windshield now. Only time will tell though how well it will hold up.
JEEP Forever
It is. It's the rich people's land rover. Jeep moved up market to compete with luxury vehicles, in price only.
Love Nathan's commentary
64k for 2 doors four banger bricks. They gotta be kidding
I would love a 2 door 4Runner
Hate to say it but a Stellantis 2.0 wont do it for many. Good horsepower numbers but the horrible reliability of the 4 cylinders under that umbrella cant get me there. Especially with that price tag!
My local dealer has a 2024 Wrangler Sport 2 with cloth seats for $44k MSRP. Also 2023 Gladiator Mojave for $78k MSRP. Jeeps are basically unattainable now for most people.
You fold the backseat nearly permanently anyway. That's for emergency use only, and rightfully so. In fact, it's best just to take it out.
Yep.... mine has come out once, likely never to return. They should offer a rear seat delete on 2dr Wranglers
Can you get the 3.6 liter in this Jeep with the 35 inch tires?
Jeep and ford dealers and their crazy prices have enabled the manufacturers to jack up their prices and then they still mark them up! Then they tell people to blame the uaw when they have record profits. I think the tables have turned and people aren’t willing to pay. Time to lower your prices.
What’s the orange Jeep at 10:39 ? They never posted it with the rest of the concepts but posted it as a tease
At the 3:59 mark did he say “come take a look over here Dad…”? 😊
Dad (Roman) is behind the camera.

I'm more impressed that 6'3'' 220+lb Roman was even able to get into the rear seat!
$64k for that? No wonder side by sides are outselling them in the offroading world.
Damn....When I bought my 2023 last year, was hoping they'd come out with the Extreme Recon for the 2 doors...did'nt though.....Of course here we go the very next year
Here's another Jeep they can't sell
Yeah. Probably 70k bucks
There's a 120 month auto loan for that
@@Christoph-sd3zi will they go that long on a loan?
64K! HAHAHA. I also got a bridge in Brooklyn for you. But seriously, there will be enough idiots who purchase it to keep the prices as they are. If no one buy's prices need to lower. This for around 35-40K would be very fair. Anything more and you can keep it.
Overpriced. Basically all automakers are overbuilding vehicles nowadays and forgetting that price is just as important as features in terms of value. I get they want to claim they have the most capable but come on with the price.
IDK about the overbuilt part with as much hard plastics some of these auto makers are using 🤣😂🤣😂 but I agree with the overpriced part and your point as a whole 👍
@@mastermarcusthemightyandma9741 You are right. Overbuilt in some areas and cheap in others. I was thinking more about all the features and tech that are totally unnecessary and are used to jack up the price.
