    I have the same exact car except it has a slightly lighter interior. The color is called dunklerot code 542 g - far fewer coupes we produced and really are a bargain now if you can find one their major issue is rust but it’s easy to find replacement panels - great to see appreciation tor 250c

    Enjoyed the commentary. Interesting observation about a big steering wheel being relaxing to drive - I have noticed the same thing. I think those old guys with slide rules were onto something. Thanks for sharing.

    I remember that this coupe was considered ugly for some time, mainly because of the proportions and almost the same dimensions as 4 door and I personally always prefered C123 until I saw one cruising down the road. I guess it was early 70's US version with slim bumpers and additional lamps at front and I just could not stop starring at it. Today 60's Mercedes Benz is my favourite era of automotive design, Paul Bracq got it right every time :)
