hello, great car! I have same in 1971 that I am working on restoring. Can you tell me the size of the tires on it? They seem to be a little larger than typical.

I have the same exact car except it has a slightly lighter interior. The color is called dunklerot code 542 g - far fewer coupes we produced and really are a bargain now if you can find one their major issue is rust but it’s easy to find replacement panels - great to see appreciation tor 250c

I remember that this coupe was considered ugly for some time, mainly because of the proportions and almost the same dimensions as 4 door and I personally always prefered C123 until I saw one cruising down the road. I guess it was early 70's US version with slim bumpers and additional lamps at front and I just could not stop starring at it. Today 60's Mercedes Benz is my favourite era of automotive design, Paul Bracq got it right every time :)

I was a college student in 1974, 1975 in England. I was just in love with this car, and then came Lotus Esprit. Well, I ended up buying a 1972 Mini. And then came the origianl VW Scirocco TS. Now that was a fun car.

I remember seeing a few of these around when I was a kid growing up in France and although it took me many years to build my own classic car collection ( I own 7 vehicles so far ) I've always had a soft spot for the Europa ❤️❤️ Maybe I should find one...

Other then a Lamborghini Miura SV, the only car with a top I would ever consider driving.

Why are you driving on a bunch of straight roads , find a twisty one ,very twisty one and see what a Lotus is all about

My mom had a 1982 244.....solid car, but it had a HORRIBLE problem starting. And the dealer could never figure it out. It would just crank, and crank and crank. We got it after our 1977 245DL wagon which became the 'kids' car.

Special is one of top 5 Lotus cars ever produced.. Superb drivers car and absolutely stunning.

When I was a high school student, my first car was 1983 Volvo 240 GL. Thank you for uploading. The 1982 model was strapped with 2.1 liter engine and larger bumpers.

A 240 in this condition, 2022 is probably worth $6000-9000 now. That's insane.

Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN AND TEBBVEN laws)

Screw the overly tinny, techno toys Volvo peddles today that drive like just like any other ho hum car. Give me a 82 GL with a manual transmission, good heat and open road. Nothing like driving those bricks on wheels, uber comfortable seats, nice engine tone and best of all slower than your grand mama on roller skates! Todays cars are destined for the silicon chip scarp piles and forgotten!

My first car in college was a 144, then my second was a 240 GL. I loved those cars because they were very dependable, easy to maintain and fun to drive. I've owned nine Volvos and still own two, which are an XC70 and a 740 GL. My favorite is the 740 for the comfortable interior and great handling. I have over 300k miles on the 740 and it still runs great.

My first ever car was a 240 GLT-85. I've had 7 Volvos in total. They the best and most reliable Winter cars on the globe, cheap parts and comfy too. I'm into buying an early 960 hopefully next year
