**rant** I don't want to be a "spoiler karen" but getting a bit annoyed about people not respecting where people are at in a show, honestly in some shows I don't want people to insinuate "shit" or imply that it or anything will even happen. I know I can't control people but being "blown" away by a show is such a high that people take away when they don't respect hinting as a spoiler. **rant** I wish people would just say the show is fire and that comments talk about this episode too show respect. Anyways! Live long and prosper people!
You don't understand how true this is.
Unfortunately we don't have any RUclips mods so we can't filter out spoilers or spoilery comments but I genuinely don't understand why people answer questions that we have about shows in general (Not just MT) when they know in time the show will answer it itself.
It's obviously different if people are clarifying or correcting us on specific things we get wrong and that's something we appreciate a lot but blatantly alluding to something that happens later on kind of ruins the experience and sets expectations in advance.
Mushoku Tensei isn't as bad in comparison to something like JJK but even then I think it's important as a community to understand that the best reactions are the ones that are made in the moment with no influence from external factors.
We may not react in the way some people may want us to and our opinions may be different but at least they will be OUR opinions and not ones that are influenced through spoilers. :)

@@WeTouchGrass Well yeah definitely not like JJK JJK has twitter full of spoilers but its becaue JJK is such a big named IP now and popular all around Mushoku tensei is a popular but its not as mainstream as JJK is now. JJK is like what attack on titan used to be like spoilers right in your face if you make a mistake.
To put into perspective how good this episode was, I was getting goosebumps while editing it back 💀

Oh yeah I forgot to say Mushoku Tensei it's not a Shounen anime even tho there's a Shounen part of it. But this anime it's more like a Drama, Fantasy

Its Seinen not Shonen, which is a demographic not genre. Also Ghislain vs Rudierd would be a better fight
Yeah we had a feeling, it definitely didn't feel like a stereotypical shounen considering some of the content in it, on another note though, Ghislaine vs Ruijerd would be FIRE.
It is not seinen or shounen. In order for a show to be seinen/shounen, it has to be published in a shounen/seinen magazine. Light novels and visual novels don't have that demographic distinction. MT's publishers; Media Factory and NAROU is no exception for this either.
@@2MilyonTM Doesnt matter, if the novel was aimed towards this demographic, it can still be considered a seinen. It s not like shounen seinen josei etc etc r demographics exclusive to manga, anime n LN use it interchangeably. And the manga adaptation of this novel is published in a seinen magazine, so thats that. Sure if u want to go technical abt it, u can say it s not actually used for books, but no one rlly cares, expecially for anime/manga/LN, and making such roundabout distinction is just redundant
It's confirmed in the novel that ruijerd is emperor rank in combat ability so he is alot stronger than ghilaine. He just doesn't show off and reveals what he is capable of unless he has to. He holds back most of the time unless he actually needs to go all out if he is fighting an op opponent.

Turning Points COMPLETELY CHANGE the structure, the plot, hell even the genre of the entire story. It is a fundamental pivot in Rudeus' life. We have hit the second Turning Point, each more traumatizing than the last.
Even tho we have such a good dynamic with Dead End, the author is never afraid of completely upending the status quo
I would say turning point is the rapid changes of the future and history
turning point gives me chills. especially The 4th one.

Notes of this episode:
On the night Ruijerd and Eris were figthting, it was Eris 15th Birthday, so she's essentially an adult in that world. That's why Ruijerd was testing her and one of the reasons he called her a Warrior. Rudeus forgot.
Through the whole series, we haven't seen anyone with black hair. If you put attention, Rudeus is looking at Nanahoshi's hair. They didn't added his thoughts, but in the novel that caught his attention as it was the first time in this world that he saw someone with black hair.
In his first attack, Orsted broke Rudeus ribs and drove the broken ribs into his lungs to silence him so he couldn't use incantations. He didn't expected him to use voiceless magic.
Also the first attacks he used on Ruijerd was to bring him out of balance little by little before dealing the finishing blow.
On the very first encounter with the Man God, he mentions "The Wicked Dragon God" and hints he's enemy with Orsted. The Man God also said in the first encounter that he was NOT the one who brought Rudeus to this world (Which is why Rudeus choose to not trust him) and that reincarnation was something that The Dragon God was more familiar with.
This explanation was kinda skipped, but Blessed Children (like Zanoba) and Cursed Children (like Orsted) are basically the same thing. They have a mutation in their mana which leads them to have an effect. If the effect is good then they are "blessed", if the effect is undesirable then they are "cursed".
Mushoku Tensei would techincally be an Isekai Seinen, as Shonen is for young boys, like 12 to 16, but Mushoku Tensei has a 18+ rating and audience.
Good reaction boys! BTW, the anime demographic is Seinen.

Let’s go I was waiting for this
Anime genres aside, the main genre of Mushoku Tensei is actually "Fictional Autobiography". We don't have this much in anime (this is popular in books), but it's essentially covering someone's life from birth to death, from all the happy moments to all the sad moments, all the ups and downs.
So, it's not restricted by a particular genre. To prove this point, Turning Points literally change the genre of the story. This even becomes Game of Thrones at one point, a Shonen at another. It's such a cool thing. It's so cool seeing a story that's not afraid of doing something different and upending the status quo to do something interesting. It's not confined by a genre and that's actually pretty awesome ngl.

Well, category wise it's difficult to classify MT as "Shounen".
Why? Because the story is quite long about Rudy's whole life.
The part we are seeing right now is Rudy's "shounen", but the story doesn't end as shounen. It goes until he becomes an adult, and does all sorts of adult things.
Isn't a Seinen? because it actually deals with "adult" stuff. Maybe it's more cause it's just so fnin epic ^__^ , secondly though I'd call it watchable by everyone because it deals with real stuff so well.
@@david4233 Shounen and Seinen are Japanese terms for different parts of life, you can think of them as having the same meaning as "Teenagers" and "Young adults".
Techinically Rudy is still a teenager by now so it's still shounen. But yeah once the story rolls to the later parts it's definitely Seinen...
Well, the classification is meant for which audience that it is for not the characters portrayed. The same as other shows rating and please add spoilers or that it is your theories if you want to talk about that last stuff in your comment.

So just wanted to give a little extra tidbit about that last fire attack that Rudy used the color of fire has a direct correlation with temperature with red being the coolest and blue being the hottest Rudy's flames there were purple which scientifically speaking means infinite heat

@allengrove1864 if purple fire does not exist how can you make the judgment that purple fire in media is infinite energy, that's just a leap in logic, if you made a fire that was infinite in energy, that fire would not be purple would it? Violet fire does exist and that's close to purple, does that make voilet fire close to infinite energy? If your speaking so scientifically, wormgate would need infinite "storage"? To stop it without causing any collateral damage, it did break but it also completely canceled out "infinite temp" fire, if it was really infinite temp I would have just blown up the planet but "oh its a show stop applying science" well if science doesn't apply then fire can be purple without being infinite temp.
@@cavedweller4111 I never said that his flames were actually infinite heat and the statements I said about heat to color correlation are based off of studies done on Stars and other celestial bodies you can tell that something would take infinite energy even without an example of it almost specifically because there isn't an example of it. It's like that with perpetual motion unusually colored flames are colored in such a way not because of their temperature but because of what they're burning as far as I know there are no instances of a purple fire purely through temperature

I don’t think Ghislaine vs dragon god would go any harder. Ghislaine is weaker than Ruijerd as he is Emperor class while Ghislaine is only King class. Not to mention Rudeus also specifically says that Ruijerd is stronger than Ghislaine. He is so old and has way more combat experience from the demon war too. But the smallest advantage could maybe tip the fight in either one’s favor.
Wait, was it stated somewhere that Ruijerd is emperor class? Atleast at that point of the story?

Just for clarification, Orsted is god-ranked while the man-god is a literal god. For example, the sword god is called so because they are the strongest in sword god style.

Amazing ep. overall. Though the 1st 15 secs make it a lot worse than it could have been.

The fireball Rudeus shot is supposedly as strong a nuclear explosion. It's created by constantly fuming the flames with oxygen.
The color change is supposed to symbolize the change in spell rank. It goes from red, orange, yellow, white, blue, purple. Or beginner, intermediate, advanced, saint, Imperial/Emperor, God/Divine.
Yes, Man god comments that the spell is god level.
I bet Ruijerd realized Rudeus has even more of an importance to the world if orsted disliked him being associated w mangod

The best about this anime imo is characters and character development. I mean we don't love rudeus, he's a pervert and was a former shut-in with a slightly disgusting attitude, yet we root for him whenever he does something morally right, not for making himself look good but instead it's what he genuinely wants to do. Paul is a scumbag but after the reunion with rudeus they made up and he ditched the depressing and alcoholic period entirely, he cares for his children and went out to find zenith with old acquaintances. The anime rally maakes you like the characters eventually.
Mushoku tensei is not a shounen, it's an Isekai with adventure, drama and fantasy elements (could argue ecchi).

How to completely ruin a perfectly fine reaction series
-get a random guy that wasn't in any of the episode, already watched the episodes, spoils the episode to get you excited about it, talks more than the 3 of you combined and distracts you from reading the subtitle because he wants to make a comment every 5 seconds about something he already watched...
This would have been 10 times better if it was a blind reaction and if you guys didn't know that it was a turning point and that it was gonna be "hype" and that it's gonna have "cool fights" and "dragon god"
Most of this is conjecture or just completely false and makes me wonder if you even watched the video.
First of all, the reason he was in this episode is because we watched JJK the same day and he recently caught up on Season 2 and so we wanted him to join us for the newest episode and then asked him if he wanted to stay for Mushoku Tensei.
Secondly, rewatch the video because we talked WAY MORE than he did and have done so throughout this entire series, and even then keeping up with the subtitles has never been a problem. The reason why we knew this was going to be a good episode wasn't from him it was from the RUclips COMMENTS which continuously told us they can't wait for us to see the next episode and from the fact that the title is literally called "Turning Point 2" which is in front of your face as soon as you open crunchyroll, anyone with basic association skills would make that connection.
The fact that you think he spoiled us when we've stated on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS how we want to avoid spoilers is crazy dude, just look at the pinned comment. None of us had any idea there was going to be a fight this episode, and we made the connection between Orsted and the Dragon God through again, BASIC association skills. We've been associating him with dragons ever since his first appearance and the introduction of the seven great powers led us to make that connection considering one of them is literally called "Dragon God".
Ask yourself, why we would deliberately spoil ourselves and fake a reaction when that would defeat the whole purpose of reacting to something in the first place.
It's like you're criticizing us for paying attention to the plot points and making accurate predictions and then getting mad at us because we were adding commentary instead of making "😲😲😐😐😲" faces the entire time.

Like I said above, he NEVER spoiled us on anything and the reason he was there for JJK is because we record BOTH JJK and MT on Thursday because that's the only time our schedules line up. So we've been doing that every Thursday.
The reason why this was the first time he came on for JJK is because he had to catch up to Season 2 of JJK to watch with us and we only asked him if he wanted to be on the channel 2 weeks ago.
I don't know how you can't comprehend that we still went into the episode blind, and also he's our fucking friend before anything else lmao, we aren't going to ask him to go home because we're watching MT, he came out of his way to join us for JJK so we asked him if he wanted to stay for MT since he was already here which he said sure to.
