21:43 about that purple fire, in the novel Rudeus visualizes the strongest weapon he knows, so he uses the most ammount of mana he can in that moment, and basically that fireball that was absorbed had the potential of a nuclear bomb, that's why it breaks the mirror and Orsted is impresed
I was thinking, if Rudy had been able to wield Aqua Heartia in that moment, would that attack have been amplified further?

Orsted, besides being ranked number two, is the strongest of this world. Hitogami said that if rank number one and two were to fight, Orsted would win. He's just that strong.
So this encounter wasn't just with any god rank warrior, it was with the strongest being.

You know Rudeus was aiming to kill this time. Those stone cannons he usually shoots? Normally blunted just enough to maim human opponents. This time he fully shaped them to an actual sharp drill and spun it at max that it was heated up by friction. Making the the projectile so sharp and fast spinning. He pretty much fired a large armour-piercing round at Orsted. Let's not forget his fireball that's overcharged with his high mana output and wind magic to make a bigger boom. That was without the amplification of Aqua Heartia btw, since he dropped it mid-fight.
Finally, if that fireball /plasma bomb had went off, it would have had the destructive abilities of an Atomic Bomb (the author says this) as in the LN That's Literally what Rudeus was trying to create. He was prepared to kill everyone there in that moment and if Orsted didn't absorb the attack, most likely every non God person there would definitely had been blow to bits. An Atomic Bomb... Rudeus wasn't playing around.
his stone canon power output is the same as emperor power
I love seeing a series being actually able to bring its audience to the literal edge of their seats really enjoyed seeing you three edging to the actual edge of your seats just as the s*t hit the fan, thats when you know the first priority of everyone involved was bringing the best possible experience to their audience.
Its surprising how little there was going on in this episode, yet the dialog and brief moments of action made the 20 mins go by quick.

When Orsted put both of his hands on Rudeus's side, he effectively collapsed Rudy's lungs because Orsted knew that mages need to chant in order to use magic which is why Orsted was surprised Rudy could use incantationless magic. Because Rudy's lungs were collapsed, he had to use wind magic on his mouth to expand his lungs again so he can breathe.
one thing to note is that the masked woman wasnt affected by orsted's curse as well. and her name, Nanahoshi is clearly japanese.

The purple fire is plasma. He used the oxygen in the air to super heat the fire. Thus creating plasma magic. Not something anyone could really just do. And he did it without an incantation. You need knowledge on the molecular level and an insane amount of mana. Rudy has both. I wish they would have showed this in the anime; his eye of foresight would show a different outcome each time he moved to protect a different part of his body. Orsted is just that fast at adjusting his attack. Also, hello twitter I'm being helpful w/o spoiling. Try it sometime.
Volume 1 already goes into how he figured out how to separate oxygen and hydrogen from air moisture by the time Roxy arrived.
Later he can visualize halting all molecular vibration, i.e. freeze something down to absolute zero.

Let me clarify the apostle thing, an apostle of hitogami (human god) basically means those who listen to his "advice" and do what he says. There is nothing else special about it. They don't get any powerups or anything specifically from hitogami

Ghyslaine is a Sword King and Ruijerd is on the level of an Emperor of the North style, the gap in power between Emperor rank and God rank is fucking huge since, for fighting styles, there can be only one that holds the title of God, the most powerful of the fighting school.
For magic it's even more rare since the chance of people with a mana pool big enough to cast spells than can rearrange the landscape is virtually unexistent and the spells of Emperor level+ can take multiple mages and enough written chant to make a bible.
For races it's similar, the strongest ever and leader of the race is crowned the __ God, there are Emperor and Kings too, but only a couple of relevant races keep an actual serious track of them, with generations and all.
The Dragon God Orsted is OP as fuck, even with his nerfs
World and story just got crazier, these "turning points" don't mess around. Also seems like Rudy and Eris are going to have some trauma to work through after encountering a force like Orsted.
Also shoutout Nanahoshi for whatever she said to get Orsted to heal Rudy.
Those traumas will linger with them for years.

Some clarification on Orsted's comment on Rudy's mana: it was skipped with demon loli lord, but the reason she was disgusted by him was that the eye she used was to see how much mana he has, and according to her it was more than the demon god Laplace. This is now further backed up by Orsted's words, and Rudy's accomplishment of breaking the Wyrm Gate.

Pretty sure it was a toss/redirect. Wasn't mentioned in the episode but in the LN he used water god style to deflect her hit and send her flying, Flow I believe it was. The dragons are just native to the area that they were passing through, there is a large range of mountains across the continent called Red Dragons Spine or something like that and they were crossing through one of the openings where they don't normally attack, the Red Dragons Lower Jaw pass.
Been waiting on this episode for a minute. Also once I saw the preview this past week that grew my hype to new heights. Like bruh this might be my favorite episode this fall season. period.

There are many sword styles in this world, one is the water god style. This style makes counter attacks really strong.
That's why Eris got clapped, she wanted to attack leaving her open to a counter attack.
Orsted even complimented her skills saying something like she is way better than she is supposed to be.

The Eris he knows only ever reached Sword Saint style. This timeline's Eris reaches Sword King style because of her desire to stand equal with Rudeus instead of only ever being protected by him. Meaning she is on par with Ghislaine and second only to Emperor ranked or higher swordsmen (of which there are barely any).
